Finally got around to reading these!
Like many short story collections, I liked some, loved some, and others were meh. It is YA but still, I could connect or find the charm. Maybe it was the magic of Christmas 🎄🎁

December 2 #WinterGamesPhotoChallenge Love ❤️ Thia is going g on my TBR list. @StayCurious @Clwojick
Decided to finally finish the last two short stories from my holiday read.
These stories were so sweet.
Some of them ended too fast!
A couple of these stories suffer from the short story curse of too much happening and not enough room to develop it, but all of them got me in the holiday spirit! #yalit #christmasfiction
Basically what it says on the tin: 12 YA short stories of romance set around Christmas. It was a challenging read for me as I don't usually read straightforward romance books, as I'm pretty much romance-averse. It was OK - a mix of modern romance & one or two examples of older, darker mythology (Krampus). Not something I would have usually chosen to read but it made a change. 2⭐

Time to snuggle up with My True Love Gave to Me and watch the snow fall in Texas. I've got a cozy Christmas coffeeshop ambience video on my TV and it is making me happysad (missing my family and coffeeshops and the Before Times, but so happy to have this snow). ❤
Some of the stories were lovely but others were just meh. 🎄❤️☃️💚
Twelve romantic holiday stories (Christmas, Yule, Krampusnacht and Hanukkah) #WinterGames #MerryReaders
I happen to be reading two Christmas anthologies that have Navy Blue covers for #WinterGames2020. That‘s 21 points for #TeamReadNosedReindeer❄️☃️
I really enjoyed this book especially in time for the Christmas season. I didn‘t love every story but I would say that there were only 2 that I really didn‘t like out of all them. I love that they were all different and celebrated diversity in a lot of ways. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a feel good book right now!
My current read. Trying to finish up three more reading challenges for the year.
I return to this quote about #snow again and again; it perfectly sums up why I love the beautiful winter season. #ChristmasQuotes

This book is a compilation of short stories from assorted young adult authors. To be honest, I didn't read some of the stories. I tried, but some of them just didn't grab me as others did. My favorites, though, were "Midnights", "Star of Bethlehem", and "The Girl Who Woke The Dreamer." I would definitely recommend those and others I read.
Enjoying the unseasonably “warm” weather with some hammock time.
1. I rarely read short stories and picked this for #wintergames
2. I loved this! I listened on audiobook- my first with libro.fm.
3. The stories were sweet and diverse enough for this read.
4. There was only one story I considered so so- and even though several had a rough start for me I was completely hooked by the end and often wanted more.
5. I wish there was a book like this but with diverse holidays and cultures- translated.
I know things have to change, but...I can‘t lose you. I don‘t think I get another one like you ❄️💫
#wintergames #teamfestivus @wanderinglynn by midnight last night I had completed 5/12 of these holiday stories. I think that is 100 points?
I was only able to finish 10 of these stories before my library book expired☹️. But of what I read it was really good.
There is also a summer collection of short stories that is already on my TBR 😍

Absolutely loved this! Twelve stories! Some that I wished would be longer! #holidayread +241 for #merryreaders #wintergames @Clwojick @StayCurious
This is a #blameitonlitsy #holidayread So far I have finished the first two stories on using #libro.fm and I really like them both! I‘m considering gifting them to a friend. #wintergames #teamfestivus
#WinterGames #MerryReaders #HolidayRead This was cute. It was a fast read but I‘m still not a big fan of short stories.
I read all twelve, and enjoyed five of these short stories. My favorite is “It‘s a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown” by Stephanie Perkins. #HolidayReads
I struggled to get through this, as few of the stories really grabbed me. I liked some of them but felt mostly lukewarm. At least one or two felt unfinished and needed to be a bit longer. I wish there had been more than one story with LGBT+ characters but at least they weren‘t all white. Slight progress, I guess. Cute for YA but overall not for me.
This collection was delightful. This is holiday romance with a bit of an edge - some occasional fantasy - and more than a little dose of reality. My favorite new holiday read of the season - definitely check it out!

I love Christmas afternoon - the kids are busy with new toys & mom gets time to read. This short story collection has been delightful.

Everybody was right, this one was great! Of course some stories were better than others, but there were no total duds. My favorite? Kiersten White‘s story of Maria and the mysteriously magical new cook at the Christmas, CA diner. Stephanie Perkins story of an NPR loving Christmas tree farmer and Gayle Forman‘s story of “big city” Sophie Roth who thinks she‘s found an outsider like her when she‘s really learning to open her heart to someone new.
Happy winter holidays to all! Elwood is exhausted from lots of play time and attention. We are all lounging around with coffee, books, and sweets. I am eager to dive into my #Jolabokaflodswap book today but am currently reading some Christmas short stories.
Two more sweet stories from this collection: the first about a couple of college students on break; the second about Santa's foster daughter at the winter ball.

12 Stories with holiday fun and love. Each one had something I enjoyed and I am glad I got a sampling of each of these wonderful YA authors! My faves were probably “Krampusclauf” “Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus” and “Welcome to Christmas, CA”. That last one even made me tear up a little because it hit all my weak spots. 12 quick holidays read takes in a lot of points!

Finished this lovely book, with 12 Christmas spirit short stories! Perfect for this time of year!
If you're looking for a holiday read, I highly recommend this set of 12 YA stories by some terrific authors (Laini Taylor--hello!). I think they saved the best for last with Laini Taylor's beautifully dark fairy tale set ins dystopia. I enjoyed all these last three stories so much.

I really enjoyed all three of these quirky holiday YA love stories. They all had interested characters and nice holiday tie-ins (one was Hanukkah which was a nice change) without being too cheese-fest.

Made a wreath and window swag today. Can‘t wait for some down time so I can read this book! 🎄🎄
Starting to like this collection more. Read the next 3 stories:
4. Polaris is Where You'll Find Me (Jenny Han) Strange, sweet tale that is reminiscent of Elf.
5. It's a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown (S. Perkins) My favorite so far. These characters, Marigold and North, sparkled with life. I could read a whole book with them.
6. Your Temp. Santa (D.Levithan) Ho Ho Ho hum...
#WinterGames #TMSkellington @Crimson613 @StayCurious @Clwojick
Sweet holiday story collection. Here's my take on the first three:
1. Midnights (Rainbow Rowell): Ho hum YA romcom, I expected more from this talented author.
2. The Lady and the Fox (Kelly Link) Time travel, otherworldly creatures. This could make a great full novel!
3. Angels in the Snow (Mark de la Pena) Sweet, modern tale set in NY

I'm a day later with this one AND I can't locate my copy of a #SappyHolidayRomance (crowded shelves - #bookloverproblems), so I am creating a virtual photo of it instead!
A little seasonal short storying perhaps? 🎄 🎁 🌟

This seems like a lovely collection of holiday stories to gift to friends. A good gift for those who like holiday stories or films or HBO Christmas movies. 🎄
