Grad school work has been SO INTENSE this month it has really damaged my #wintergames vibe, but I was delighted to get to finish this cosy Christmas mystery on the train back to London today. Perfect vibes, absolutely perfect ❄️
#snowangels
This is just the second book I‘ve read in this series. It delivered what I expect from a cozy. I like Hannah as a character and her relationships with other characters. I‘ll read another in this series.

1/2022 Well that was a much quicker read then I expected! Half of the book was actually recipes. It was a sweet and easy cosy mystery. Just what I needed for a sick day. And some of the recipes look pretty good to! #booked2022 #bookwitharecipeinit #RoadTripUSA2022 #Minnesota
I‘m so poorly today and I was up all night with my equally poorly toddler. But I‘m feeling very grateful because my husband is off work and has told me to stay in bed. I‘m usually at home alone with three kids so even though I feel crappy, staying in bed feels wonderful! Hoping to finish up this book for #booked2022 although recipe making will have to wait!
Having a sleep over in my kiddos room tonight so I‘m reading by dim light 😊 Finally getting round to one I meant to read over Xmas before I return it to the library. But by happy coincidence it‘s packed full of recipes so perfect for #booked2022 #includesarecipe Looks like I‘ll be reading all over the seasons again 😬
Next up… time for a bit of Christmas murder #wintergames2021 #teamgamesleighers
That's a wrap for Week 1 of #WinterGames2021 🎄
I watched several more Christmas movies, read 5 more children's Christmas books this morning, & tallied my points early so I can give my brain a rest from keeping track of hours & searching for words while reading 😂
After adding everything up, my weekly point total for #TeamGameSleighers is: 13,628 🥳

My first cheesy Christmas movie has been watched and I've started my first Christmas craft! 🎄❤ Now, back to holiday reading!
5 pts (plus what I haven't added up yet for reading/readathons 😅)

Hannah doesn‘t end up in danger in this one! And it was a closed-door murder mystery, which is probably why it was shorter than the other books in this series.
I loved this book, so much fun to read, my kind of humor. I'm going to read more books by #JoanneFluke the receipts look awesome too. So #unique

This was one of my book club books, so I probably wouldn‘t have picked it up otherwise. I felt like I would have enjoyed the story more if I‘d read the others in the series. It really dragged out for me. I‘m considering going back and reading the other books, just to give it a 2nd chance, but we shall see.
This book is a lot shorter than Joanne Flukes other books because it is loaded with recipes for the holiday. Glad I did it now because I have found a few good ideas I would like to try out before the holiday. Nice read.
Wasn‘t so happy with this one, but I love Hannah so four stars it is 😍
This was cute, I never guessed until the confession. It was so short though! Half of the book was recipes!
At Meineke for an oil change and it‘s sleeting out. I think I brought the right book!
I needed a book with the word sugar in its title for a reading challenge so I skipped ahead in this series. I‘ve seen some of the TV movies and read the first so I‘m familiar with the characters. I didn‘t love this installment. The murder was solved out of the blue and the MC‘s love interest cop was sort of a jerk. Especially after she did his job. Say thanks, dude! #CozyintheSun
This is not seasonal at all but it fits a PopSugar Challenge prompt and #CozyintheSun gives me an excuse to go ahead and read. It‘s kind of fun to read a story set in the holiday season when it‘s 90 degrees outside.
Love these books they are a quick murder mystery with yummy recipes and funny tidbits!
A fun holiday listen, especially for Hannah fans! The plot is improbable, but it also happens all in 1 day/night. It is the community potluck for the Lake Eden cookbook and (foreboding voice) "it turns out murder is also on the menu..."
This is shorter than her other stories, but it is not an extra holiday one. It connects the plot to Peach Cobbler Murder. It quite a few recipes due to the potluck. It was the first time I'd ever heard "hot dish."
I don't have any books with candy in the title but sugar cookies sometimes have candies on them #candy #spookyoctober @Jess7
You can also kind of see Pickle's shadow #pickle #picklecameo #catsoflitsy
Joanne Fluke's stories are light and a nice break from deeper works. The books are "fluff" reading. I often pull one from my shelves when I needs light read. The recipes sound delicious, if you eat sugary sweet treats.
Catching back up on the #augustphotochallenge today is #laidbackbooks and nothing is more comforting and relaxing than a good cozy mystery. I own most of mine digitally or took them out from the library, but here's what I own in print. Fun fact, the Sugar Cookie Murder book has a cookie recipe for cherry bomb cookies in it that I'm famous for making at Christmas time! #augustofpages
The recipes are the best part. Sometimes you need a reading palate cleansing when moving from one genre to the next.
