So good. It‘s hard to have such a complicated magic system & have it all make total sense, but it all works. Super sexy. I love Rogan, I love Nevada, I love her sistersssssss this series is so freaking good.

Finished this book in February. I‘m flying through this series. Per Storygraph, Ilona Andrew‘s is my most read author this year.

This is book 2 in the hidden legacy series. You get more Nevada and Rogan, solving another mystery and working together.

I really enjoy these 2 characters and this series.

I wasn‘t really blown away by any of my February reads. I picked the tagged book as my favorite of the month because I basically read it almost all in 1 day.

But so far nothing is going to beat Legends & Lattes. Here‘s to hoping March is a better reading month.

Picked up the tagged book from the library today and the bottom 2 we‘re waiting for me at the bookstore. I just did a quick browse by the tables and the cover and the name “Murder Your Employer”, caught my eye. And I had a $10 coupon, so I got it for $19 instead of $29!

A nice bookish treat after having to watch 2 dogs all week (1 mine and he had surgery so he‘s currently in recovery mode).

This is the second book in the Hidden Legacy series. I am not going to say much in order to avoid spoilers. However, I can say that the author has continued with the awesome world building in book 2. I live the complicated magic system and the how the houses struggle for power. We also learn more about what makes Rogan tick. It helped me understand his actions. Really enjoyed and have book 3 on hold at the library. 4.5⭐️

Have you ever been a bit obsessed with a main character? Because I love Nevada! She‘s such a badass and knows what she wants and stands by her principles.

Nevada is on the case of a murdered lawyer and Mad Rogan is tied up in it as well. What they uncover is much bigger than expected and the drama is high and very entertaining. The secondary characters add so much to these books.

This read so fast! I think this one was even a bit better than the first book. And I just live the family relationships, it's so nice!

2. A fun guity pleasure read. I like Nevada and seeing her learn more about her magic.

He‘s a hot powerful guy with PTSD and she‘s determined to use her power even if it exposes her family who has been trying to hide. There is something bigger going on than she is aware of.

The cover is a bit much, but the story is awesome! I am loving Nevada and Mad Rogan!

I found this image of the book cover online. Somebody doctored the male protagonist to be seen as wearing a Hello Kitty t-shirt instead of shirtless on the real cover. I found this hysterical.

Anyway, I read the first book for book club but had to know what happened so I picked up the second book. Apparently this author is actually a husband and wife team. Somehow they manage to make the action seamlessly entertaining.

Nevada's story continues. Unlike so many trilogies, in which the second books is the low point, this just keeps getting better. I want more!

This series is just flat-out fun! The characters are even better than the story, although some parts of the story arc has me all 🙋🏻‍♀️🙌🏻💃🏻

The storyline to Hidden Legacy is one filled with magic and 'House' strength, those with magic compile some of the strong houses, those without, well... they are without! There is murder, mystery and the investigative side and Nevada is an amazing Investigator! Read in June 2017

The mystery of Caesar unfolds further in this second installment. The romance was engaging, but the constant tug and denial between Rogan and Nevada wore thin at times. I truly enjoyed the development of the secondary characters (Nevada‘s sisters and cousins), but the denial of information about their magical talents until the end was a little heavy-handed in terms of a tease. Overall, a satisfying second installment to the trilogy.

This has got to be the most wonderful find in my history of rummaging through bookshops.✨
First, this wasn‘t distributed in my country when it came out this year. Second, @Chachic gifted me book 1 and 3 when Ilona Andrews put them on sale on Kindle a few weeks back. We were waiting for this to go on sale, too! Third (and most importantly), I got this for only P85(

First-person POV fantasy novels like this one are my guilty pleasure. Escapism at its best. This time in Houston, TX.

Pick pick pick! I loved it and as soon as I finished this one I had to start the next. I know... not a great review, but I loved it!

My #comfortreading I really need this, and Ilona Andrews is a sure bet!

Rarely do I enjoy sequels (except for Harry Potter, LoTR, Shadowhunters..ok, fine), and this is one of the few that made it to my favorites. The universe-building is not as epic as my usual fantasy series, but it works well because the focus of the series is really on Nevada and Rogan. Sure, there are enemies and explosions and lots and lots of sexual tension, but all of those are secondary to N&R's story. Can't wait to start on the 3rd book!

I read the second of this series in a day and a half. The character development was delicious and rewarding. I need book three!! Don't pick up this book unless you want to be blown away and unavailable for anything except binge reading.

I was so excited to get the email that my hold came in that I gasped aloud at lunch with friends. Luckily they know me and did not judge. Sooo good. I know I cannot survive the wait for for book three so I ordered a copy. I am going to need to own these anyway. Thank you again to all of the Littens who convinced me to give this series a try.

So good! Entertaining light-thriller/romance set in an alternate version of Houston with magic. I was on the waitlist at my library for months and it was very much worth the anticipation. The heroine is badass and the hero is her equal, and the supporting characters are well-developed and interesting.

Even better than the first! Nevada and Connor continue to deliver with the action/adventure while off-screen their personal relationship gets steamier as they learn to trust and rely on each other. Love how Andrews does the development of romance in their series. ❤️ I'm looking forward to while also saddened to see the end looming with #3. 😢 Heartily recommend this series! #romantsy #osrbc

Had to make a special trip to the library this afternoon for this one after finishing the first one last night. Could. Not. Wait. 😄 #osrbc

Stayed up until 6 in the morning reading and am back up to finish this one. At some point today, I fully expect to fall asleep with my Kindle in my hands.

Finished up White Hot for the #slaythatseriesreadathon this morning and it was just as fun as Ilona Andrews books always are. I'm sort of wishing I had waited until book three was out before reading it, because I'm dying to know what happens!
I took a shift for a coworker at the summer job, so I'll be cutting fabric instead of reading for the rest of the day... 😩

Took a break from the #slaythatseriesreadathon for dinner with my cousins at a little bar on our little lake. The food always sucks, but the beer and lake make up for it 😉

Social obligations are met, now back to my book!

A five star book! The further adventures of Nevada and Mad Rogan continue to enthrall, and I loved seeing Nevada develop her talents.
Overall, a fabulous sequal to Burn For Me. Definitely run out and grab the pair of these as fast as you can and devour before the third book is out at the end of this month!

Great Paranormal Romance/ Urban Fantasy!!! Can't wait for Wildfire, the conclusion of the series!

I think the Hidden Legacy series is their best so far, even if all the others are really good too. This, the second book, was even better than the first. It deserves a better cover. Good thing we have online communities to help me know when I should be ignoring bad covers and diving in. Can't wait for Wildfire! 😍
