First book by Meg Cabot but I hear lots of good things!
This book did not get better, it actually became much worse. There was a scene at the end where I audibly said "wait... what?" Because it was just so out of character and ridiculous. Disappointed because I like the small town, island vibes, but I will not be continuing this series. Another book finished for #bookspinbingo
My current read. I'm enjoying this for the most part. The main character can be a little annoying, so I'm hoping that goes away. I'm not a fan of how she tells others "don't judge me so easily" then proceeds to quickly judge others.
A friend had just finished an intense World War II novel, and wanted a break. So I suggested this as a fun, sexy, no-intensity read. It worked for her.
It's about a woman who is on an island in the path of a hurricane. She determines to rescue all the pets left behind.
Quick easy read. Since I live near a lake and many small islands, the atmosphere of Little Bridge Island was relatable to me. My town is also smaller than LBI. We have many tourists and everyone seems to know everyone and everything that goes on. Our little town comes together like the community there as well.
Sorry Meg, I feel the MC did nothing but judge each other...
No Judgments is a great, but easy story to read and to listen. I simply loved everything about this book. I felt happy when listening to it even though the things in the book were not necessarily happy at all. Well, expect for people's kind hearts after hurricanes.
The story itself is beautiful and I enjoyed every minute of it. I really like the characters in general, but Drew for me is special!
The narrator also was really easy to listen to.

🐚 I loved the tagged book, read it earlier this year. What more could you want- a beach, hunky mc and a feisty female lead.
🐚 Today we visited my husbands mum in London and had socially distanced bbq in the garden. He hasn‘t seen his mum for nearly two years. Also for the Birthday wishes for yesterday ❤️
❤️ As soon as I hear “Mysterious Girl” by Peter Andre. (Old Skoool 😂)

Starting this! The Florida Keys, hurricanes and doggies...I'm in! 🏝️🌀🐕🦺
This is in no way the best contemporary romance but Meg Cabot always makes me laugh out loud! (Seriously I can‘t read her books in public) That to me is worth a pick. It happens a little too fast but it‘s fun even in the setting of a hurricane. Also I‘ve been to the Keys a few times so it‘s fun knowing exactly where the story takes place.
Getting close to a bingo. #bookspinbingo
Came home from up north early bc the dogs wouldn‘t settle down 🤦♀️ I found this enjoyable If not as witty as I‘ve come to expect. A few strange plot points that I didn‘t care for, but I‘ll be reading the next. 3.25/5
This is another book that drove me crazy(!!!) with its portrayal of characters who seem to be such great feminists, but still demean women all the time! For being called “No Judgments,” this book certainly has a lot of judgments about women. And then on top of it, crazy things happen! Like, there‘s a scene where two guys watch leading lady walk into room with another guy, her with a gun, then she shoots the gun, which they cannot see, (cont.👇🏼)

1. I live in the city I was born in and live two miles away from my family home where my parents still live
2. My family is safe and healthy ❤️

A month and a half later these finally arrived!
Meg Cabot‘s hit-or-miss for me & this one leaned closer to a miss than I would‘ve liked. While not without his merits (being an artistic carpenter who built his own beach house & the proud owner of a pack of scruffy dogs — with a zero tolerance policy for both animal cruelty & sexual abuse; yeah, this one‘s got bite), I didn‘t swoon as hard as I should have over the love interest. He‘s an insufferable mansplainer...& a bit bro-y for my tastes.👇🏻
Just finished this book about a hurricane & immediately spotted my local forecast for tomorrow.
Ummm...did I do this? Is this my fault? 😅🔮⛈

That‘d be a hard “no.”
File this under: things that don‘t sound fun in a COVID-19 world.
“Honey, I‘ve got news for you,” he said...
EW. Honestly, not always digging this love interest. “Honey”? PLUS mansplaining? 🙅♀️
Remind me again why it took me so long to do this? 🤦♀️ Please...no judgments.
Drinking coffee from my Gilmore Girls mug, reading about (the Floridian version of) Luke, apparently.
NO SHOES. NO SHIRT. NO PROBLEM.

Next up on audio 🎧
I lovedddd Meg Cabot when I was young, but have never read any of her adult stuff - I‘m looking forward to this and hoping it will take my mind off of being stuck inside! 💖
3.5/5
I read so much Meg Cabot as a teenager, but I hadn't read any if her novels in years, so I was curious when I saw a new romance novel in the library, and it took me back. It's a sweet romance, but the ending did feel a little rushed. It was still a quick fun read.
Such a great book...I loved the two main characters and how their story unfolded through a hurricane and rescuing animals. I‘ve seen there is another instalment...it‘s in my TBR list already!
My afternoon off work...I‘m meant to be cleaning the house but I‘m a little bit in love with lead man..Drew.
2 hours later and I‘m still reading...the book mark says it all 😂
Friday night sorted ✔️
I read the blurb and saw animals, white beaches and sexy boss...what more could I want! 📚
It took a bit to get into, and I wasn't always sure how I felt about it, but it certainly wasn't terrible. I liked the characters and the ending was great. I love Cabot's Boy Next Door series, so I'll probably continue with this one,

I'm fairly new to the romance genre, so I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't a bad thing that I could predict exactly where the book was going. I've always been a fan of Meg Cabot's YA books, though, so I really enjoyed reading one of her more adult novels.
I really did enjoy reading this. It was fluffy & fun. But there were things in the plot and in the writing that just made me cringe. The writing is good & the things that bothered me probably wouldn't bother readers who are fans of the romance genre. For me, it just wasn't the right thing. Outside of the romance component, it was an enjoyable read. It was relatively predictable, but that's kind of a nice thing when you're looking for a beach read.
I only had 2-1/2 hours left of the audio book and I just didn‘t care how it ended. I was irritated by the main character and just didn‘t like her. There wasn‘t even enough humor to keep me going. This one fell very flat for me.
I thought this was a super cute book. It was definitely predictable overall, but had curveballs thrown in. Drew was definitely swoon worthy. Overall, a nice easy palate cleanse.
This is my first Meg Cabot and I‘m not too impressed yet, but wanted to give her a shout out for this paragraph and her acknowledgment of Indigenous People and the Spanish Invasion.
Ice cream rolls and reading my new book (I skipped the final session block of the book festival) Yeah, what the book says - NO JUDGMENTS 😆
At Morristown Festival of Books once again! Talk 1 was on romance - a conversation between Meg Cabot and Tessa Bailey! So fun it was like hanging out with two girlfriends. Can't wait to read No Judgments and Fix Her Up! #morristownfestivalofbooks #mfob #mfob2019 #bookfestival #authortalk #romantsy
I was hoping for a fun romp. Instead got a hot mess.
On the plus side: animals and fun new friends, including the local drag queen/pug parent (really, too minor a character).
On the minus side: poor judgment in the face of a hurricane, sexual assault, animal abuse, over-the-top family drama (can't detail this much for fear of spoiling), cavalier treatment of a gun incident, and general ridiculousness.
I also got to meet Meg Cabot which was so amazing! I've been reading her books since the mediator series and 1-800-whereareyou.
So cute! I picked this arc up at ala a couple weeks ago! This book was really the perfect summer read and made me want to move to a tiny island immediately.
Good book! The book is a good read for animal lovers! It is set on an island during a hurricane (which I have never experienced). I found it a good story with a little romance and some lol parts! A few nice twists of drama but nothing too terrible. A good light-ish read.
Contrary to other reviews, I enjoyed this lighthearted tale. What did perturb me a bit was that no one took her (for a spoiler free review) incident seriously.
I managed to finish one book for the #NetGalleyReadathon. I‘m ok with that though considering I‘ve been spending time with family and literally reading until 1-2am.
I liked this one, but then I‘ve liked everything I‘ve read by Meg Cabot. There are parts where I was like hmm ok, but overall it was good.
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
I‘m at a family party and this is how I‘m spending my time. I‘m not in the mood for loud kids and having not much say in any of the conversations (also I don‘t think anyone really pays attention to what I‘m saying anyway). So a book it is.

New comfy chair to read in and a new Meg Cabot #arc from #Netgalley. Perfect way to end Monday.
