What are you doing for Star Wars day? I‘m starting this book and so far I am really liking it :) Fun to see the characters I know in a different light. And what goes better with a Star Wars book then some music. :) Happy Star Wars day and may the fourth be you!
So there Death Star just blow up Alderaan and Ciena thinks that her friend Jude also got blown up but Ciena found a file that Jude made saying that she thinks the rebel fleet can blow up the Death Star so I think she escaped and did not die. Hopefully I will soon find out
Right now the main characters are racing for extra credit for school, and Thane and Ciena tied with each other and I predict that they will both get the extra credit
LOST STARS by Claudia Gray.
The perfect starter novel for any wanting to read STAR WARS, Lost Stars is a Romeo&Juliet-esque tale of a pair of childhood friends who grow up in the Empire, dreaming of becoming pilots. One realizes the Empire is evil & defects to the Rebellion, the other is an Imperial patriot.
Epic & heartbreaking, this beautiful story showcases events of the original trilogy from the POV of the two protags.

A book about two star-crossed lovers taking place in the time between the Original Trilogy and The Force Awakens. This book is easy to follow for people who are casual fans of the Star Wars franchise. The audiobook has a fun sound design that makes you feel like you were in the ships and battles. Overall, it was fun to listen to after enjoying the Mandalorian and jumping back into this universe again after not liking the Rise of Skywalker.
May the 4th be with you, dear littens! 💖📚💖
Had to take a picture of some of my favorite Star Wars books today! 😁
#maythe4thbewithyou
I really enjoyed this book especially since it gave a flip side to the destruction of Alderaan and the death star. Thane Kyrell and Cena Ree are childhood friends who attend the Imperial Academy to become pilots. Of course at some point they fall in love and one leaves the Empire and one stays. The best parts are those that show another perspective to familiar story we all know 🚀
Thank you for this Lovely #ManicMonday @JoScho 😁

📖 - “Lost Stars” by Claudia Gray
📝 - Lee, Harper
🎥 - the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy (which I really consider to be one looooooong movie instead of three smaller ones)!
📺 - “Lie to Me” (Tim Roth was phenomenal in it)!
🎤 - Lee, Amy (Evanescence)
🎸 - Lacuna Coil
🎶 - “(The) Last Journey Home” by Dragonforce 🐉
I got 330 pages into this book. Still 220 pages left 🤦♀️
I just can‘t keep going. I wouldn‘t have gotten so far if it wasn‘t set in the Star Wars universe and I wasn‘t so interested. But it just got too YA. Literally all they did was think about each other. I was going to start skimming, but why skim 200 pages... Moving on!

Happy May the 4th! Here are some of my favorite Star Wars books, both canon and Legends.
#Ispy black covers!
Thanks for the tag @DaveGreen7777
I have read and loved 3 of these and 3 are on my TBR. Can you guess which ones? Haha
Thank you for #WondrousWednesday @Eggs
And thank you for the tag @TheSpineView 😊
1️⃣ I love the friendship between Rand, Egwene, Mat, Nynaeve, and Perrin in the Wheel of Time series.
2️⃣ Claudia Gray for the tagged book.
3️⃣ I was intimidated reading “Moroda” by LL McNeil since I had already been friends with the author for years and was nervous about reviewing the book if I didn‘t like it. Fortunately the book turned out to be great! 😁
A story of best friends who morph into something more..until they end up on -opposing sides...and become star-crossed lovers, set against the backdrop of the Star Wars Universe.

Lost stars blurs the lines between being a terrorist and a hero in a fascinating and devastating manner. Although it has many strong points such as the romance between ciena and thane I felt they could show more of the downfall of the empire after the battle of endor. Ending with an explanation of reys jakku home from the force awakens.
I was tagged over on Instagram to do the #fivefingerstack. It was really fun!

This was a pleasant surprise for a Stat Wats novel. I enjoyed the story and introduction of new characters. I loved Thane Kyrell's story arc more than Ciena Ree's; mainly because we saw Thane grow. Ciena's arc was a bit more frustrating, even to the end. Speaking of ending....I wish it ended differently. But, overall, I think this was a great read. 4 out of 5.
Maybe the best new canon Star Wars books. Enough of a connection to the original trilogy to be familiar, but not too much to distract from the engaging new characters. Spanning the original trilogy before ending with a glimpse of the Battle of Jakku, this story was a massive undertaking handled beautifully.
So on Saturday my husband and I went to Michigan comic con and I got to meet Claudia Gray! She is honestly so so kind!
There's been some hard stuff going on in my life lately and I really appreciated being swept away to a galaxy where good always wins. ❤
The best canon Star Wars novel and no I do not accept criticism
Happy Star Wars Day, friends! May the 4th be with you all! 😊💕📚
My birthday book haul! 😍💕📚 I'm super excited about the tagged book because it's my FAVORITE Star Wars book of all time, and my previous copy was lost when I moved. So happy to have gotten another copy! #bookhaul
After seeing the trailer for the new Star Wars movie, I needed to get back in that world. This book looks at the events of the first trilogy through the viewpoint of two friends who became Imperial officers. Although the two are falling in love, at the same time they are coming to different conclusions about the legitimacy of the Empire they serve. The new characters are well developed, and the brushes with Leia, Luke, and Han are delightful.
This IS the Star Wars book you‘re looking for!
A unique look at the war with the Rebellion from the point of view of two cadets that have been indoctrinated by the Empire! A beautiful tale about friendship, love, and honor set against the backdrop of a growing galactic war. This book was a perfect blend of classic Star Wars and the newer Disney stories. You might say this book brought balance to the Force! 😉
(Sorry, cheesy reference, I know!)
Vacation read #3! Super excited to re-read one of my favorite Star Wars books, Lost Stars. Taking notes this time, for blogging purposes. I‘m falling in love with this book all over again!
I love listening to Star Wars books, as everybody knows, but hadn‘t been able to track this one down on audio. I loved the story and the friendship and romance. I think the complex dynamics of honor and duty are dealt with well and it doesn‘t have the cliche ending you might expect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another excellent book in the Star Wars Universe by Claudia Gray. Hoping for a sequel.
This book was a pick for me! I really enjoyed seeing the different perspectives on the same timeline as the original trilogy. What would you do if you are pulled between your honor and your love? Claudia Gray + Romance + Star Wars = 💥
I have totally ditched my TBR for the month but oh well. It‘s my birthday month and I‘m moving in less than two weeks! Eek.
So I made an awesome #DollarTree #bookhaul. However turns out I already own the tagged book and I may already have Tidal. My Goodreads app wasn‘t working for me to check yesterday. 🙁. But I‘ll have them to give away for Halloween.
⭐️ Star Wars shirt I just finished sewing! My button up skills are improving but It still needs work. The collar is wonky.
🍛 I would probably cook Thai Basil Chicken and Rice or this delicious version of Zuppa Tuscana my friend taught me to cook that uses sweet potato and Coconut milk.
🌃 San Francisco: Chinatown,Dolores Park.
📖 I can‘t choose favorites !
🍁 Halloween, chilly weather, leather jackets, boots, scarves ! #humpdaypost
Still catching up... I really enjoyed this story! I think the premise was definitely intriguing, and the author skillfully crafted a very believable trajectory for the main characters. This could have been a real eye-roller, but I felt she took on some interesting moral and social questions thoughtfully, and with nuance. It takes place concurrent with the original trilogy, and there‘s just enough references to invoke that era without overdoing it.
Today‘s #bookhaul Every September, I feel the need to organize my life, so many journals. And a book and bookmark for the tween.
I just tried to listen to this and I found the sound effects really annoying 😬. Has anyone else listened to this book? Do the sound effects continue through the whole thing? I don‘t think I can stand it
#BookMail & #StarWarsHaul Pt5 This one is set during The Empire Strikes Back & Return Of The Jedi Also written by Claudia Gray, it‘s about two friends, who having grown up in the empire, attend the Imperial Academy before one is assigned to Darth Vader‘s Star Destroyer, the other to the Death Star. But after watching the destruction of Alderaan & other atrocities, Thane deserts the Empire & ends up becoming a Rebel pilot. #HelpMeObiWanKenobi
It took me a bit to get into this, but then I zoomed through to the end. Such a great concept to revisit the original trilogy through two best friends, as they find themselves involved in stories & battles we know, but get to see them from the point of view of these new characters, seeing things “through their eyes” as the world goes crazy around them and to see how they deal with it and each other, as their loyalties shift.
#StarWarsBuddyRead
Now it‘s getting deep into the main plot! Those are both going to be interesting assignments!
#StarWarsBuddyRead
Digging into this one next! Still working on my backlog, one book at a time. 😉
#StarWarsBuddyRead
1. Of course!!!
2. Band aids
3. Every other day, if we count popping in to return books
4. Time turner
5. Lost Stars by Claudia Gray

@Ke633
My branch library‘s A/C isn‘t working, so they drastically cut their hours: Tues-Sat 11 am - 1 pm. Needless to say it has been VERY challenging for me to get there to pick up my book - but I finally made it! Is anyone else still doing the #starwarsbuddyread ?
I may still be finishing up my re-read of Bloodline (hopefully I‘ll be finished tomorrow), but up next for #StarWarsBuddyRead is one that‘s new to me, and since I‘ve enjoyed Claudia Gray‘s Star Wars books so far, I have good expectations going into this one.

Omg you guys. This was my first Star Wars book and 100% not my last. Love love loved it! It was so fun to hear about Star Wars and the events in the movies from a different perspective. Also I loved all the characters. Does anyone else out there have favorite Star Wars novels they‘d recommend? (Also clearly I went crazy on the photo editing...)
Loved loved loved this book! It‘s truly amazing writing. I will be reading more from this author. One of the top Star Wars books I‘ve ever read, up there with darth bane!
