A cute memoir about an animal rights activist and his adopted cat, Polar Bear. It‘s a touching and, at times, funny story about a man who goes from never having a cat to being completely cat-owned. I will warn that different acts of animal cruelty are mentioned in the book that are upsetting to read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've got two Christmassy books, and probably time to read only one before Christmas. Help me decide?

Starting my next holiday read on this cold, snowy morning. Nothing better than tea and a new book to start the weekend off right! :-)

I'm so lucky to have a kitty that doesn't eat people food, jump on the counters or table or wake me early but it sure is funny to read this about someone else.❤️

Ironically my once feral, dirty, matted NYC stray has FINALLY jumped into my lap for the first time tonight. It just so happens I started a book where the author is capturing a filthy wild stray off the streets in NYC. I won't dwell on the fact I turned the thermostat down to 60F & covered up with a heated throw & wool blanket. Smirk is now officially a #littenkitten !

It's getting cold so this seems like a good bet. It appears Smirk has no objection.
