tpixie @DebinHawaii I just finished what may end up being one of my favorite reads for 2025- although it‘s a little early for that. Great writing, a strong, remarkable woman, & a wonderful marriage 16h

A must for all my mental health professional friends out there (and honestly, anyone interested in trauma). Immensely detailed yet written in the most digestible manner. I learned so much that will benefit my personal journey of trauma healing but also as a professional social worker.
Cannot recommend enough!

Hubs took the kiddo to a ball game so I could log more reading time. (He's pretty great, not gonna lie.) Loving the summer #24in48!

vkois88 How interesting. I need to read more nonfiction. But I generally prefer memoirs by comedians. 6y

My top 4 non-fiction reads of 2016. I loved the Iranian travel and foodie theme of THE TEMPORARY BRIDE. So good! THE TIME IN BETWEEN was another amazing memoir about a young woman's battle with anorexia beginning in her preteens. Powerful! I also loved AN ABBREVIATED LIFE, which was so bizarre you'd think it was fiction. YOU'LL GROW OUT OF IT was a wonderful audiobook. Jessie made me laugh so hard! #nonfictionreads #topreadsof2016

LeahBergen Ooo! I have The Temporary Bride on my shelf. 8y
