Thanks for the tag @Crazeedi #TLT
1) since childhood i have been”batting a book”curling the edges of the top corner of the book‘s pages.I have reformed as an adult but when stressed I can revert to the behavior.
2) like Diane, while cooking I wipe counters.I also put each ingredient away immediately after I use it.Helps me know I had added it,but also keeps the area clean.
3) habit of only looking straight ahead & not looking at floor.Have fallen.

dabbe #1: I think most of us have some quirk with our hands while reading. And it's so interesting that we do! 🤩
#2: I aspire to be like you and Diane. 😃
#3: #ouch 💜

Crazeedi Yes on putting things away too! And ouch I hope you don't have any more unfortunate incidents! 3mo

A Passage to India | E. M. Forster

willaful This was a complicated chapter. Adela is so confused and suggestible -- perhaps normal after being traumatized like this. There's nothing that explains why she ever thought it was Aziz to begin with. She's definitely a very unreliable witness. That's probably not going to help poor Aziz though. :-( 7mo
Bklover Loved todays hashtags! You‘re right- Mrs. Moore is definitely crabby. @willaful Yes- no one has said “what makes you think it was Aziz in the first place?”!! 7mo

Bookwormjillk Did she ever accuse Aziz or did Ronny just assume? What‘s up with Mrs. Moore? Is she still mad about the cave?? 7mo
BarkingMadRead @willaful so true! And they never really say why she thought it was him or who she told! I hope they do! @Bookwormjillk as far as I know, we don‘t know who she told or what she said! I hope that info comes out! 7mo
jenniferw88 I think we're meant to assume that she told Miss Derek at the car, and Miss Derek drives her straight to the station. 7mo
Morr_Books @jenniferw88 I agree. I also got the impression from this chapter that Adela thought it was Dr Aziz because she assumed he followed her into the cave, so it had to be him. 7mo
jenniferw88 @Bookwormjillk Mrs Moore has lost her faith in religion and God and this is draining her emotions. 7mo
dabbe @Bookwormjillk Ever since Mrs. Moore experienced the echo, she seems to have adopted an almost existential “why care?“ kind of way of living. 7mo
Morr_Books At this point, I feel that Mrs. Moore is partly crabby, because she thinks all this is ridiculous. I'm frustrated because it seems she believes in Dr Aziz's innocence but won't speak won't go public....maybe cuz everyone views her as a crabby old woman...? 7mo
jenniferw88 @dabbe exactly! 7mo
AnnR This was a difficult chapter to read. Not in the literary sense but on an emotional level. 7mo
Bklover @dabbe Yes- well said! 7mo

AmyG Ugh. Feel better soon. 13mo
Read4life I just went through a week long cycle myself. Migraines are no joke. I hope you feel much better soon. 💙 13mo

#currentlyreading for my teacher librarian book club. Apparently it‘s divisive... we shall see. #memoir #spectrum #naturalworld #hardback #family #conservation #environmentalist #Ireland Plus #spikyplant that cut me. #ouch

Libby1 Hi! I‘m reading this right now. Can you please tell me how it‘s been divisive? I can‘t see anything in it yet to cause concern. 4y
Missusb Gosh. Uhm..I wrote that a long time ago before I read it. I think I read some reviews on Goodreads that mentioned his age and his autism. But yeah. I didn't find it a problem. I loved his voice. And he just won a huge environmental award in Ireland with it. 4y

I had hoped to the read the book first but my daughter wanted me to watch the show with her so we‘ve started. Maybe I‘ll read the book some other time.

Also, I think he is sad because he misses E.T.

Skyrimir I haven‘t read it either, but I loved this show. Beautifully shot. There‘s one episode composed of a few 20 minute takes. I almost want to watch it again already! 5y
Velvetfur Is that man.... Elliot from ET???? 5y
AmyG Ha! Every time I saw him, I just thought of ET. @velvetfur Yes! (edited) 5y

Velvetfur Oh my gosh how much time has gone by?! What year is it, who's the president?! 😂😂😂 5y
Victoriahoperose The show was really good. It definitely was better than I even expected it to be! I hope you enjoy it! 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I really liked the show. It was genuinely creepy. I‘d like to read the book soon too! 5y
tracey38 I didn't realize this was Elliott from ET! 5y
Layali926 The show is completely different from the book, but in a good way. I loved the show!! The book was ok for me. But apparently a classic horror that most of horror stories were built upon it. 5y

This book continues to cut deep. "The people at the very bottom of the chart are still on your team, so their behavior must be acceptable to you...many managers reward their falling stars by giving them less work while acknowledging them with decent performance reviews." #ouch

So I burnt my hand Friday on the oven, it hurt but not awful bad but it‘s just gotten worse, it hurts so so bad, worse than it did when I first burnt it. Any suggestions?? #ouch #extragraceful #icantcookwithouthurtingmyself

tournevis It looks infected. You should get it looked at. 6y
CocoReads Yikes! Do you have any aloe? Burn cream? I‘d also try to leave it open to air if you can. My stuff always seems to heal faster if I can leave it uncovered when I‘m at home. 6y
MinDea Have you tried aloe vera? That should sooth the heat/tingling and also provide moisture to it... 6y

CocoReads Also I agree with @tournevis get it looked at if you can. 6y
callielafleur Definitely get it looked at. Coconut oil shouldn't hurt, as long as you're not allergic. 6y
RaimeyGallant Doctor. No creams unless it's a burn ointment. Aloe, but read online how to do it. Cold water. 6y
laurieluna I burned myself on hot oil once, ended up having to get it looked at at A&E. They put something on it and wrapped it. I definitely recommend getting it looked at. X 6y
KrystleTheBookSlayer I seem to burn myself a lot. Aloe is good, but don't use anything with oil (that locks in heat from the burn), you can also hold it under cool water (not ice cold). 6y
monkeygirlsmama No tips, but wanted to say I hope you feel better. Ive burnt my hand on the oven more than once, and in my experience it just took time to heal. I don‘t really remember if it got worse or not though. 6y
Redwritinghood If there‘s no infection, a lidocaine cream can help with the pain. You should be able to find some at the drug store. 6y
TheBookStacker Neosporin with pain relief in it. 6y
Jess7 Ouch! Hope you feel better soon! 6y
Andrew65 Ouch 🙁, I agree I would get it checked out - burns are the worst. Hope you get some relief. 😊 6y
Dragon That looks so painful. Hope it heals quickly 💐 6y
CouronneDhiver Aloe and a sterile gauze dressing/bandage. And ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If you‘re concerned, see a doc (edited) 6y
