I just started watching episode 1 of season 1 of the 2008 series from PBS—and I can completely understand your frustration if you had seen the series before reading the book! So much drama in episode 1 already! Whoever wrote the script had modern audiences in mind, I‘m sure. 7mo

TheAromaofBooks I did like this but I do wish some of it had been a bit more focused on Laura, as those were my favorite parts. But it was all very interesting - although I'm not sure I would have finished if it wasn't for this group!!! 7mo

dabbe We got the most detailed explanations for pretty much every single thing in Lark Rise and Candleford--plus extreme details for every little thing Laura did, every flower she saw, every game she played, ... yet we don't know why she just up and leaves? #wth? The ending made me go 🤯!!! 7mo
