It's not often you'll see me recommend a romance novel, but I really enjoyed this one.

My younger sister found this meme where someone compared Pride and Prejudice to Star Wars, specifically Rey and Kylo Ren to Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. Love it!

It‘s P&P, but in space!

Pride and Prejudice, my all time favorite book! 🥰

Some of you might know my #PnPCovers collection, which has grown to 177 editions!

@LeahBergen recognize the pink “book”, holding Jane Austen stationary?!

After watching the movie, I discovered it was a book, or had been turned into a book (Still not quite sure) I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, so I read the book, it is so good. I love classic books that have retellings, so this definitely won me over. It's slightly different compared to the movie, however I think the book is slightly better only due to the explanation of some things.

Earlier this year I saw Pride and Prejudice at Kansas City Repertory. It was the craziest thing. There was booty shaking dancing, Lydia drunkenly lounging over punch bowls, a very excited Mrs B, Wigs flying on stage as the actor playing Mary transformed to Mr. Bingley, and henceforth it will always be Lady Catherine de BURGH. It was incredibly witty and roll in the floor hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣

Crinoline_Laphroaig Of course if you are going to see Austen the teapot purse is a must! 4mo
Crinoline_Laphroaig The very best part the Cast did a very heartfelt speech at the end and passed the hat for Aids Walk KC. I later saw on Instagram over $14000 was raised over the run of the show. 4mo

Rural Oklahoma in early 80's you could usually find me with a book on my Mom's ugly couch. When the weather was good we had 3 TV channels. Masterpiece Theatre's Pride & Prejudice was my Introduction to Jane. Visit to the Library soon followed because I HAD to read the book and after that everything Austen. 😍

Described as a modern Muslim take on Pride & Prejudice, it was also heavily influenced by Shakespeare. While a bit too saccharine & cliche for my taste, overall it was a fun read. I really enjoyed being immersed into the life of the Canadian Muslim community. Bonus for the chai recipe at the end! 😊 #diversereads #femaleauthor 🧕🏽 #muslimauthor 🕌 #debut #romance 💕 #mistakenidentity ⁉️ #prideandprejudice #shakespeare #onceuponabookclub ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Muslim spin off of our all time favourite novel Pride and Prejudice, this novel still is different in its unique cultural position. Though the author say that she intended only a light romantic comedy, we cannot keep aside the marginalised voice of those who stick to their traditional appearance, that so beautifully present itself as a polite protest throughout this novel.
