My 2024 reading. Highlights for me were doing some deep dives for #FoodAndLit, reading all of the Station Eleven books in a row over a couples of weeks for #AuthorAMonth, reading around the world for #ReadingAfrica #ReadingAsia #ReadingTheAmericas and #ReadingOceania (none of which I have completed so I‘ll still be going in 2025), the hilarity of #HashtagBrigade, #CampLitsy, and numerous other challenges that have made my reading life so rich.

Under the Wide and Starry Sky: A Novel | Nancy Horan

Big News! I finished this book, which means I completed the #LitsyAtoZ challenge!! I‘ve read books that start with every letter of the alphabet this year for the seventh year in a row! This book was for #Samoa #ReadingOceania, a challenge I finished much earlier this year but for which I still have more books I found and want to read. Review to come.

Tales of the South Pacific | James A. Michener

My second weekend in a row at HPB ended in a massive book haul… so here goes:

The tagged book came up in my search when I was reading for #readingOceania and it looked like a book I‘d enjoy

And then I saw Space and thought that‘d be a good read as my son starts his journey in college to become an aerospace engineer

marleed How cool. I‘m always on the lookout for a book called by Michener called The Drifters. I read it in high school for my own entertainment. My dad was impressed I chose his favorite author so he read the book after me. We talked and talked about that book. I‘d love to see it on my shelves and have those memories flood back everyday! 5mo

TheAromaofBooks @HeyT - I honestly hadn't even noticed that they were same numbers until @IndoorDame pointed it out. I went back and checked. Apparently everyone is REALLY supposed to read those numbers! 😂 6mo

IndoorDame @TheAromaofBooks haha, it‘s because of the app I use to make images with the books I end up choosing. The background from your last post usually gets saved in it until I replace it with the new one. 6mo
