I‘m just going to say this may be one of the best short stories I‘ve ever read—Darwin in Heaven

This book of short stories (not all of them are about #Tonga) are particularly well written. But this opening sentence is definitely one of the best I‘ve ever read.

The opening quote of the tagged book

The book is a fictional take on Stevenson and Fannie and their crazy travels. I‘m looking forward to it!

March was another excellent reading month for me. I read 4 Jane Harper books for #authoramonth, 3 of which are also for #serieslove2024. I read 4 books for #SouthKorea #foodandlit (5 when I finish the tagged book—I couldn‘t squeeze it in for March) and 5 for #readingOceania (Pacific worked for two challenges). XOXO worked for the ever-difficult #letterX for #litsyatoz @Soubhiville @Catsandbooks @Andrew65 @TheSpineView @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

Pickpick

Everyone in this close community wanted to find the woman, and Falk, a Melbourne investigator, inadvertently started following the clues to find her. Third and last in this series, I have come to realize that Harper always has an unexpected twist and ⬇️

Texreader this book was no different. I especially liked how surprising the ending was because it demonstrated well how normal someone can be to the outside world, but quite destructive within a family. #authoramonth #Australia #readingOceania #serieslove2024 (book 3) and #letterE #litsyatoz
