pickThis book almost feels like you are going in and out of consciousness. It will make total sense then no sense at all. Chaos and genius. In all that chaos there is actually a story. A good story. I cant explain it. This is very much in the vein of Fight Club. A fever dream of a story for sure.

So its been a few years since i hosted the Little Christmas Swap and i was thinking of doing it again this year. Im just trying to see how many people would be interested. Its also been a few years since i hosted the Lonely Hearts Club swap for Valentines Day so im thinking of bringing that one back too. Both were 1 book and some treats. The Little Christmas opening day would be January 6th.

Ive been so excited for The Teller of Small Fortunes that i preordered it last month from Barnes & Noble!
pickI wasnt lying when i said a quick read! About 20 mins because i read slow! The illustrations are beautiful and really give life to the story. At the end Susanna gives an explanation on how the story came to be and it was very interesting. I definitely recommend giving this one a read.
I know its the night before Halloween, but library books wait for no one so im diving into this quick read!

panAll you need to know about this book is that every single one of these reviews is a lie. Theres so much wrong with this book. I almost bailed a few times but i stuck with it and i really shouldn‘t have. What i think it‘s about is family dysfunction turns into a “haunting”. But im not sure because it was all over the place but repetitive at the same time. Also I have no clue what the ending even meant, which irks me.
My #HHS came today but im not sure who its from!
I asked my son to take a picture of the box and this was as good as it got!

So i picked this up yesterday from the library and its almost 600 pages so i started it today and was really lost as to what was going on. I didnt realize you had to read Ordinary Monsters first and i dont think i ever finished that one so back to library this one goes!
Started this one on my lunch break today but it‘s not horror/thriller so I‘m considering putting this one to the side and keeping on with my Spooky TBR.
pickPhew what a wild ride this book was! Its a super slow build but in that time you‘re getting to know each character in the friend group. Really good character development. Its a pretty complex story with a lot of details and layers but everything plays out so well. The story has a solid ending with no questions left unanswered and it‘s super twisty!

pickThis book is a hidden gem! In this story we are following Grimalkin the cat through his nine lives over 120 years. Each time period of his lives he is experiencing new inventions, new ways of speaking and new humans. The story is so much more than that though. It‘s genius and it may be my most recommended book of 2024!
Another preorder showed go up today! This will be a quick read since it‘s a little over 134 pages. The cover is giving me T.Kingfisher vibes!

pickThis was so good! I‘m glad i picked this one up. If you like astrology then this one is for you. If you like taking cats then this one is for you. I don‘t want to give anything away but the character connections and flow of the story line was really good. It‘s a light read. A good palate cleanser. Everyone should read this one!
I love when i find cozy mysteries at the thrift! Especially when I can find a few from the same series. Best part is my Savers has buy 4 books get the 5th free!

So scrap yesterdays post about starting Lady Macbeth because its due back to the library today. Back on the TBR it goes. Too many holds and so little time! Im starting this one today and it just so happens that its a full moon!
pickThis book was a slow burn creep. Unsettling. Enough to make you uncomfortable but not scare the daylights out of you. I‘m still thinking about the ending and if I truly understand it. Very twisty. This would be a great first book for someone just entering the creepy genre.
Book two was just delivered! Adding this one and the first one to my Fall/Halloween TBR list. It works out perfectly because the third book is Christmas themed!
Im excited for Fall/Halloween and all the cozy reads! This one came today and i ordered the second book which should be coming tomorrow.
