#Two4Tuesday
❄️🏝I will love to spend again some days in a comfy place admiring the snow with a hot drink and a good book, But in this part of the world, what I like of winter is that weather is less hot. Love to be at home in pj, with a hot drink and a good book. Perfect to run like today, at 4:00 am it was fresh with breeze.
❄️🏝Narnia world during Christmas, North Pole. Maybe a small village like those cozy stories
Thank you @TheSpineView 🥰
This is a simple, expected, cheesy retelling with a little predictable twist. But I took out my inner child and I enjoyed it very much. I felt that I was watching a Disney performance☺️ I needed something light after literary fiction and mystery reads. The narrator performance was fantastic specially with the witch character. 3/3.5⭐️

It is like a cozy mystery. A murder occurred in a small town. Victim was surrounded by many scandals and rumors. A secret that everyone knows but no one said. due to religion power? I didn‘t know this is the 2nd book of inspector St. John Stratford Mystery. The end was okay everything was abruptly/convenient resolved. You will see controversies between Catholics and Protestants, the story is developed in Ireland. 3⭐️I want to read the first book.
I really liked this story. A slow pace read, character driven with stories within the story. Some expressions were beautiful. Faye‘s mother is half Indian. They are very close and they have a business to sell antique articles. She discovered this painted drum which apparently has healing powers. The story is around the history of this drum, secrets will be revealed. The story is so much full of traditions, beliefs. Apparently is part of a series⬇️
I liked this book but didn‘t love it. I liked the characters, the different stories but it was difficult for me to see the story integrated, as a whole. I saw some parts like forced maybe because the author wanted to mention something about the pandemic situation? I don‘t know, maybe it was me. I was expecting more. But I really enjoyed those passages related with American Indian traditions, beliefs. I took my time to seek more information.
Late reading for #LittensLoveRomance book arrived super late (December 2022 book) @Staycurious
I didn‘t like much the story, neither the ending. But I liked Nolan, his family story and how he supported them. Also, how he respected Bee‘s work. Few funny scenes. 1.5/2⭐️it didn‘t work for me but I loved this cover.
Read at the beginning of January. I liked this type of stories where characters review their lives and try to amend, or find answer to those inner questions to be in peace with themselves. This story is something like that. I found Kirsten a little bit selfish, convenient at the beginning but then you can understand her. All these characters are dealing with different types of grief. Their stories will be connected. So pretty 4/4.5⭐️
Read at the beginning of this month. This book was like a tv soap opera. A lot of drama with many family secrets, everyone deceived someone😳and everything was connected. I liked Guillermo character, a sculpture so intense in his emotions. I think the ending was a little too convenient, cheesy. Noah was lucky at the end (no spoiler🤷🏽♀️) but Noah‘s anguish was so sad. That scene with his dad😢Oscar just made me laugh☺️ 3.5/3.8⭐️
Read early this month. 4th book in this series and my least favorite book. I think the conclusion was so simple, so many irrelevant characters and details. Unpopular opinion here🤷🏽♀️3⭐️ #BookSpinBingo (free space) @TheAromaOfBooks #ISpyBingo January2023 (since it is a silhouette we can say this one is an exotic deer☺️) @clwojick @TheAtomaOfBooks
Read during first days of this month. For me, this is my favorite book in this trilogy but I think is because I liked the dynamic between Persephone, Calla and Maura. There is something sad that happened in this book😢I saw in this book more action. As a YA fantasy it was good 3.8⭐️

Read early this month. I re-read this book to clarify some points in order to complete the series. Still interesting but I think that sometimes there are unnecessary details. Like it but not love it. 3.5/3.8 ⭐️

1️⃣Heartwarming, hope, closures, friendships
2️⃣Well my first language is Spanish so yes I read in my language, but lately I‘m reading more in English because not all books have been translated to Spanish. Some books that have been translated to Spanish are difficult to find or are more expensive.
3️⃣There are many in each genre but for this month How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix.
Thanks for the tag @Eggs 🥰
👑 We celebrate Día de Los Tres Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day)on January 6. We usually take down the holiday decorations that day or the week after that day. The Three Kings Day was yesterday so I will be taking down the decorations tomorrow. We also celebrate the “Octavitas” 8 more days after the holidays, excuses to continue celebrating🤣Then we have Las Fiestas De La Calle San Sebastián January 19-22 more celebrations.
In PR, only 🌧
It is difficult to mention my best 10 or 20 books in 2022. I read 158 books and these are my lovely ones in 2022. Some of them have low rating in GR or in Litsy but they were amazing for me. That‘s what I love of this reading world, there is a book for every taste and reading mood📚🙌
Photos of my last race Dec 31st, 2022. Photos were posted late. I‘m still recovering from this flu. Only 6 miles but it was hard because I was sick. Sorry I haven‘t post much. I will be answering the tags this week. I hope I can start again with my usual run/swim/cycling practice and that could read more
I‘m getting old because this is the first time it has taken me so long to recover from a flu😳I‘m still growing (meaning=getting older🤣)
Late but my message is here! Feliz Año Nuevo! We still have 364 days to establish new goals, new challenges to live better in harmony, peace with ourselves, with people around us and with nature....(and also surrounding by lovely books📚☺️)🙌
My best wishes to all of you! 🎉🎊🥰
Thank you @BooksNAround Love the books, I already used the mug twice today. Love it. I think it will be around even after the holidays (we are still celebrating this month). Lovely tea and the bookmark? Just lovely 😍 the chocolate 🍫 looks delicious 😋

I don‘t think I‘m going to complete any more book before the end of 2022. I read 25 books more than last year (2021). But, did I accomplish my reading goals?🧐No!!!😱I didn‘t accomplish any single one🤷🏽♀️But I‘m happy because I read 158 books in 2022 from my tbr...before I died😳🤣🤣🤣🤣I need to find some humor to not cry for not accomplished my reading goals ☺️
Expected cozy mystery, slow pace, character driven where clues and conclusion could be wordy for some readers but it worked perfectly for me. A Christmas party, different persons with different personalities were invited. Someone invited Mordecai Tremaine scared that something could happen in that party. Then, Father Christmas is found dead under the tree. 3/3.5⭐️
@CindyMyLifeIsLit you spoiled me! I‘m speechless. First of all I appreciate the treats and items from your state Texas! It is a way to know you better and have a piece of that state. They look so delicious. The card is so pretty and it has a recipe. The ornament and bracelet are so cute. Love the books you chose, creepy and perfect. I‘m in love with the tote. And what a surprise Pennywise print🤡😍I need to buy a frame immediately. Thank you😘🎄🖤
Here is 12:15 am I‘m up because I‘m sick and I can‘t sleep well, so what a lovely excuse to open the #CreepyChristmas swap box🎄 black heart 🖤 🖤🖤🖤 Let‘s open the surprise 🤗 I can see a lot of treats 🍫 🍫🍫🍫
@TEEBE
Interesting and full of action. It is a short book and in two scenes I found them abrupt or needed more explanation but I‘m not the best audience for middle grade book. It was organized in topic so it could be easy to read for young readers. I liked Vernestra and Imri powers. That ending was so interesting and the Avon‘s comment about her mother. So lovely the sense of loyalty in friendship and in Jedi‘s duties. Beautiful illustrations. 3/3.5⭐️

🎄Post a picture taken this month-This was December 23, The Christmas Concert- there was a soprano, a choir but also our typical music for this season. On the photo, an example of inclusion. He was amazing with that “guiro”

After an accident the Professor can only retained intact memory of what happened before the accident. His memory for new events only last 80 minutes. He used to attach notes to his clothing to remember new events the next day. His world is around maths and baseball, two fields that are not my strength but with this story you want to know to be part of that communication between the Professor, the housekeeper and Root. What a beautiful story⬇️
Those friends that are part of the library of my life have always been there unconditionally and they know I‘m here for them. I include here family members. Due to their constant support, I haven‘t stop perusing dreams, goals. Thank you friends, Litsy community. Thank you life to allow me share these wonderful experiences.
There is a beautiful song dedicated to friends, “A Mis Amigos” “To My friends” an old song but power of words are timeless.
Unpopular opinion. Everybody seems to love this book so don‘t read my review☺️Two persons were together for less than 24 hrs and fell deeply in love. One was suffering for this love😳Something happened and during those encounters you will see a lot of cheating and drama. Main character can be annoying. The ending made me think if that relationship is healthy. They play this “honesty game” were words can be so hard. Not for me please.Good things:⬇️
For those of you who celebrate this season, Merry Christmas! I hope you have experienced a lovely day with family and friends. 🎄💚❤️💚
For those of you who don‘t celebrate the season I hope it was a calm and relax Sunday! Perfect for reading!📚🤗

Different stories but all of them connected in a very dark, creepy sinister way. I like this author‘s writing style, so psychological, love how she describes the characters and the plot. The psychological dynamic of these characters is so terrible but interesting. I really liked it. This book gave me a vibe of another author I like very much Kanae Minato. 4.5/5⭐️

If you don‘t want your Christmas to be a “humbug” then read this short story, so appropriate for this time of the year. However, there are some sexist comments🙁Besides that (I‘m going to try to put that aside) the story was splendid. I read it in conjunction with an audio and it was perfect. I will like to read the other writings that appear in this edition next year or maybe buy another pretty edition, I‘m a book collector🙋🏽♀️😜 4⭐️
I didn‘t open the box before because I thought it was part of one of the swaps packages 🤦🏽♀️
I didn‘t expect this, thank you so much @Chrisdyreadit I wanted to read this book, ready to try the coffee this Christmas weekend with the snacks. If you see that one chocolate 🍫 is missing is that I couldn‘t resist to try one😋but the rest and the popcorn will be the perfect snacks for December 25th. The card is so pretty. Thank you 😘🎄💚❤️💚
From last week #WondrousWednesday
🎄For the last years, the routine is staying at home in Christmas pj, socks and read or watching a Christmas movie
🎄I try to eat our traditional dinner, well most of it because I don‘t eat pork or red meat. But our traditional dinner is rice with green pigeon peas, chicken or turkey stew or common turkey, salad and Christmas dessert 😋many many calories 😳
Thank you @Eggs and @TheSpineView 🥰🎄💚❤️💚
Book 9
This was not a good thriller. It could be written in only 200 pages instead of 300, maybe less. So predictable from the beginning. That ending was so abrupt. I‘m telling you can know who was the responsible from the beginning of the story🙄2⭐️Not much success in my reading this month😬
#WinterReadathon @Andrew65
# BookSpinBingo @TheAromaOfBooks
Unpopular opinion. Love Edina and the importance to respect, help our older people. I enjoy the daily life in this small village, so beautifully described but the romance was not what I expected, I couldn‘t stand Jack, a little controller, arrogant, pretty boring in his “romantic”approaches🙄I know I‘m Grinch💚Belle was so naive almost unreal😳The funny parts were with the children, “my mam said I can be anything, are you sure Joseph was a lad?🤣⬇️
Book #7 read this month
Another not excited Christmas romance🤷🏽♀️The situation of this swap was so unreal and the story was pretty boring for me. Am I a family member of the Grinch😳🤔💚Maybe my heart is not beating enough🤣🤣🤣

This was a good thriller, at least I enjoyed it but it is so violent. It has triggers some of them more graphic, kidnapping, violent death, intention to commit minor sexual abuse. It was good, one of those that put you at the edge of your seat😳Unexpected/confused ending at least for me. But then I read some reviews and understood it.

5th book read this month
Well, this one has some cute scenes very few scenes were funny and so repetitive about what was happening between them. Acting like teenagers but they are in their almost 30‘s? Another boring romance for me even in the “sexy” parts😳🤷🏽♀️But a friend read the second book and said it was cute. I will try it because I like Merry character. I liked Nick‘s mother, what a character. There is a long nice songs list at the end
4th book read in December (GR closed but I‘m still reading this year and for me, those books counts). I don‘t know if I‘m going to continue this series. Does anyone read it? What do you think? Published in 1991, interesting mystery but you will find stereotyped women roles, work place sexual harassment, animal cruelty in one scene. Big concern is how she was treated as as a woman. I don‘t know if that issue is resolved in the other books. 2.5⭐️
Sad but beautiful novel. Well written in epistolary form where you follow these characters during the war and 50 years after the war. It took me time to read it because it motivated me to seek information about WWI. I even watched a video about Battle of the Somme. What a tragedy. It was hard to read it, about the soldiers, their PTSD which is called now, the family losts, the grief, how life change during these events. Sad😢 but beautiful 4/4.5⭐️
This was okay. A fake relationship. I like drama but here was used to drag the story. There were funny and cute parts but I found the romance a little boring🥱
