Cute, light and fluffy read! An enemies-to-lovers romance that‘s pretty low on the spice, with a gardening theme, so it‘s a great choice for this time of year.

I really loved this! I won‘t say too much because I read it with the #LittensLoveRomance group, and as is usual for me, I finished ahead of schedule. It was touching and sweet, with just a little bit of spice. There‘s also a great cast of characters! And the cover is so adorables,

I was surprised by the dark turn this installment took, but it was a good finale to the series. It was my least favorite though.

Wow, there‘s a lot to unpack here. 8-year-old Chrissie has killed a toddler. What could make a child commit such a heinous act? This book tries to answer that question by peeling back the layers of Chrissie‘s life. It‘s told in alternating timelines, between 8 y/o Chrissie and 20 years later, adult Chrissie who‘s now living under a new identity. This book is dark and disturbing, but very well done.

I loved this so much! Very charming with a great cast of characters (though my absolute favorite might be the apple tree 😂) and with such lovely magical realism. So far, I‘ve not been disappointed by SAA!

I don‘t ever really read self-help, but this book has low-key been on my radar since it‘s publication, because who doesn‘t want to be badass? 😂 There were 2 or 3 chapters that resonated with me, and the author approached the whole book with humor, which I always appreciate. My biggest take from it was to always LOVE YOURSELF! It‘s really the first step to badassery!

I loved this! Kristen‘s struggle with debilitating periods and the very real likelihood of infertility felt authentic and I really felt for her. And Josh was a total dreamboat right out of the gate! Their friendship was adorable, and their struggle to make it into something more was so emotional. This is another book that leaves me mad at myself for waiting so long to read it!

Despite the cute cover and nice blurb, this one didn‘t work for me. It definitely needed some tighter editing and the mystery, though very tangly, was kind of a let down.

Loved it! A grandmother and granddaughter, Eileen and Leena respectively, decide to swap lives in order to shake up their lives. Leena heads to Eileen‘s small village to get some much needed rest after suffering a panic attack at work, while newly single Eileen goes to bustling London to meet available men. This was funny and touching, and I loved Eileen so much!

Got my April #bookspinbingo card ready to go! I love that the spins and a free space are in the same row, but the center square is a free space too…woohoo! 😜
I loved this book! I‘m kinda mad at myself for waiting so long to read it. Tangled is my favorite Disney movie, and this reimagining is very clever. It‘s a bit of a chunkster but such a quick read (at least it was for me) and so entertaining!

March finally got me my first bingo for #ispybingo! Got one on the special St. Patrick‘s board, but I did downright pitiful on the regular board. 😂
Had a great reading month! 17 books read and I enjoyed them all! I have to say my favorite was the tagged book, because I was very pleasantly surprised! I‘m not really a fantasy girl, and I caved because I saw all the love it was getting here on Litsy. I just love when that happens and it‘s one reason I love this community - you guys help push me out of my comfort zone and discover great books I wouldn‘t have read on my own!😊
Another successful #readathon! I managed to get all these books read…for a hot minute, I didn‘t think I would. But yay! And all of them were enjoyable.
#MarvellousMarch
I was able to squeeze in one more short audio book before the start of the new month! I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first book in the series. But it has a hot Irishman so I‘m not complaining! ☘️

Rachel travels to Ireland for a 3-month internship as part of her studies for her master‘s degree. She has a plan, to get her degree, become a textiles designer, and follow in her deceased father‘s footsteps and work at the family business in Chicago. Enter Conall, a dashing Irishman who literally saves Rachel‘s life, and upends it as well. This was sweet and had all the Irish feels!

This isn‘t in the database yet, but it‘ll be available on KU on 3/28. It sounds cute and perfect for the #seasonalcozies challenge for April, so I‘m making it my pick!
17 y/o Lizzie wants to work in her father‘s law firm, but first has to prove herself to him. She decides to solve the murder of Bingley‘s brother-in-law, for which Bingley is accused. Along the way, she butts heads with Darcy, who is Bingley‘s counsel. The author took a few liberties that she explains in a note, so it‘s not completely accurate to the era, but the story was so much fun!

Last night, I had the privilege of hearing @ChrisBohjalian speak about his new book at my local #indiebookstore, Quail Ridge Books. What made it even better was having my friends and fellow Littens @MallenNC and @Graciouswarriorprincess there too!
This book sounds so good and I can‘t wait to read it!
My goals for #MarvellousMarch are to finish my current reads (the 3 books on the left) and to read the others as well. Want to finish out the month strong! ☘️☘️☘️
This was totally a #blameitonlitsy read! I saw all the love this book was getting so I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about, even though I‘m not much of a fantasy girl. I‘m glad I gave in to the hype because it was a total delight! The world-building was good, Viv is a great MC, and all the supporting characters are endearing.

Loved it! A spicy romance with plenty of heart. And the audiobook bonus was listening to the Irish accent!

I enjoyed this! In the quiet Irish village of Kilbane, a poker tournament is underway, but is swiftly stalled when the top-ranked player is found dead in a pub. His body was found hanging, so the first impression by all, including the Garda, is suicide. But sharp Siobhan O‘Sullivan, new to the Garda (Irish police) isn‘t so convinced, and thinks it‘s murder. The big twist was one I didn‘t see coming!

Lilah feels stuck in the middle - not deaf enough to identify as deaf, but not hearing enough to meet the expectations of the hearing world. She takes a job as a counselor at a summer camp for the deaf and blind in hopes of becoming fluent in ASL. There she learns many lessons, both about life and her deaf identity. This is a really good look into deaf culture.

#pop24 - book by a deaf or hard of hearing author
A wild ride! In an elite neighborhood, the residents of a cul-de-sac have an annual Memorial Day block party (the timeline spans from one block party to the following year‘s block party) and a murder has been committed. The reader doesn‘t know who the victim is (which I love!) or who among the cast of characters could be a killer. This is very gossip-y and totally rich people behaving very badly, but so entertaining! The last 1/4 is very twisty!
I started this yesterday on International Women‘s Day, which I thought was fitting. I‘ve always thought Ann‘s voice was awesome, and that both she and Nancy were badass! This was a great account of their career - the highs and lows, the sexism in the industry, and their sisterly bond.

#pop24 - autobiography by a woman in rock ‘n‘ roll (this is technically two women, but it still counts 🤪)
This was really cute! Very much When Harry Met Sally meets One Day. Two people meet in college and discover they have the same birthday, Feb. 29, and decide to meet up for a birthday adventure every 4 years. They forge a friendship that stands the test of time and all of life‘s ups and downs, and they discover that timing is everything.

I read this yesterday in one sitting because it was rainy and gross in NC! This was really cute! I typically don‘t get into the insta-love trope, but for me, it worked here. I liked both MCs, and despite this not being my favorite romance trope, I rooted for them! My only complaint is that this takes place during the off-season, and I would‘ve liked some actual hockey action.
#bookspinbingo
Really enjoyed this reimagining of The Little Mermaid! The story Picks up 5 years after Ariel made her deal with Ursula, and I enjoyed every minute of it, but I‘ve liked all the Twisted Tales I‘ve read so far.

Here‘s my #litsycrafters check in - after Thanksgiving I started on the Holiday Armadillo but about mid-December the holiday rush kicked in, so I didn‘t finish it until January. Couldn‘t get a good pic without glare! And since then, I‘ve been on a bookmark kick. They‘re all for me except the Parks and Recreation one…my daughter requested that one!
I can‘t even with this book! I‘m not page 130-something and absolutely nothing is happening. I don‘t give one crap about the MC, Alex. There‘s no backstory and nary a hint about why she lives her life the way that she does. DNFing and moving on!

And it may never happen again, so I‘m gonna bask in this glory!
This is my March pick for #seasonalcozies! I don‘t think it‘s set during St. Patrick‘s Day, but it is set in Ireland and at an Irish pub, so close enough, right? I hope! 🤞🏻
