Do NOT judge this book by (either/any of) it‘s rather weird/boring covers. This book is seriously unique and funny and cute!! There are trigger warnings for depression and suicide, though, so be warned because I was not ready for those. But other than that, the characters are unorthodox, the plot is absolutely unparalleled, and there is a great message at the end. Oh, and did I mention it‘s funny too? Because it is! Read it!

I received this as an arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would! It started off a bit YA fantasy cliche while MC Ava is discovering her powers and recovering her memories. But then as she meets her brothers and her past love and begins to train, the plot thickens and everything comes together. Can‘t wait for the next book(s?)!!

Good book! Good Hulu series too. But overall, I liked the premise and the overall time travel questions it explores.

4/5 stars. I liked the time period setting and found it unique and loved all that Julie did with it (prehistoric--the clan rivalry, the storytelling, the family roles, etc.) but I did NOT like the second person POV writing. Just not my thing. To me it slows the action down. Overall a really good read though!
