After getting through 2.5 books, SO disappointed with this ending. Cheapened the relationships we made with the characters over the course of this series. Very sad :(

This was not what I expected for the ending. The ending left me all tangled up. Yet it was inevitable given the circumstances. Inevitable or not I was not a fan. The rest of the story was really good. Too bad the ending was lacking. 4.5 ⭐

Working my way through this trilogy with the help of my cat Bre
This book needed a lot of work, there where many random plot points, a lot of things where not ever explained and a lot of stuff should have been more explored. I did not hate the ending, but it was kind of random. I think the author took that old advice to just write anything to keep the story flowing a bit too far. Review continued in comments, spoilers! Overall, 2/5 stars, read if you want to finish the series, but be prepared for randomness.
Everyone seems to have hated this book so I figured I should just get this done and then move on to the rest of my awesome TBR.
I finished this book this morning I would give this trilogy three stars it‘s not the best, but it‘s pretty enjoyable.Yet again Kelsea is just so brave like literally. This is the most original story I have ever read EVER! It‘s just so new and original. The ending literally was so horrible like seriously! I can‘t believe that happened to Kelsea is literally stuck in this normal world and her guard doesn‘t even know her NOT EVEN PEN!Totally recommend!
Finishing up The Fate of the Tearling today! Will definitely bring a review very soon! 📚📚

All of these books are favorites of mine, and they all managed to make me cry, if not outright sob! 😩💔

I finally picked up the last book in the Tearling trilogy. Lesson learned!! Don‘t wait too long to finish a series. Thank God for the internet and great summaries. I can now move forward with this book. #booknerd #bookaddict #bookaddiction #weekendreads
This trilogy was the best I read in 2018. Political intrigue, tension and an awesome mix of fantasy and science fiction elements. It's better to take your time though, as this has many story layers.
Found the last book of The Tearling trilogy on sale at Munro‘s Books. Now if only I can remember what happened in the first two. The fog is gone and it‘s a beautiful day here. 🍂🍁
"How important is safety? Is it worth steadily undermining every principle on which a new nation was founded? What sort of nation will you have then?"
I really enjoyed this series. I don't know if I've ever read a fantasy trilogy that so effortlessly married the very real present to a fictional past and future. Definitely going to be recommending these ?
Current audiobook. They changed narrators for the third time in three books but I like this one better than the second.
The first book in the series was good, but started going downhill part way through the second one. The third one continued the process and went even further with a deeply disappointing end. Do not recommend.
Book haul photo before a much needed nap. These fantasy books (plus one thesis book) are just the escape I need. ❤️
So I know lots of people have strong feelings about this ending but I found it... meh. I dunno this series has been weird for me. The first book I found mediocre, the second mind-blowing and this final instalment was just slightly above mediocre for me. It wasn‘t my favourite way to tie off the series, but I felt like it fit with the direction of the books. #YA
I‘m on a new #chronicpain medication and it‘s giving me crazy mood swings and taking away what little functionality I have on a day to day basis. I‘ve been snappy and impatient at work and with my partner and dog and I‘m just over it. I‘m hiding out with Georgia for now. #spoonie #rant #dogsoflitsy
So I‘m still feeling a little hungover from Forty Rooms, and I‘m pretty sure I‘m gonna speed re-read it, but in the meantime I need a little brain candy. So excited to see how this trilogy ends! The first book was mediocre and the second blew my mind, so I am so ready!!
So because my fiancé and I are working opposite shifts today our Valentine‘s Day is Friday- So today my #valentine is #ThriftBooks ??
Ready for the final book! Also ready to be disappointed by an ending.. (apparently)
Over halfway through and I don‘t want this story to end. #thefateofthetearling #thequeenofthetearling #theinvasionofthetearling #coffeeandbooks
Went shopping for my #dystopianblues match today. I ordered some things online and once they arrive I should be ready to send it off.
Remember that resolution I made to use the library more and read the books I have before buying more? That lasted this many days only because I hadn't set foot in a bookstore yet... 🙈😱. But I have the first two books in this series and it was a bargain so I guess I don't feel too bad?! I did limit myself to one!

Starting 2018 by finishing this series! This has become one of my favorites #ReadMoreBooks #NewYear #Bookworm #TheQueenoftheTearling ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The first two books in the series were phenomenal. This book, while good, let me down a little. I don‘t like the neat little bow wrapped around this ending.
Really enjoyed this series. The third book wasn‘t perfect, but I really enjoyed the ending. I‘ll put my one spoiler in my comments. Overall, I would highly recommend this. @Sydsavvy @JSW @Melissa_J @Laalaleighh @PenguinInFlight
I‘ve seen this floating around Litsy the last few days, and thought I‘d join in to wrap up 2017!
1. First Read of the Year: The Fate of the Tearling
While I really enjoyed the first book in this series, I felt like the two sequels did not live up to the promise of the first. I liked the feminist take on the fantasy genre, but liked it less as the focus moved away from Kelsea and towards other characters and time periods.

Do you ever get home from work and accidentally blow through the last 60% of a book without noticing how much time passed? ...yeah, me neither 😇
This was a very engrossing series, and while I have some quibbles with a few plot points I enjoyed the trilogy as a whole and was very pleased to see so much complex female representation in a fantasy series. I have mixed feelings about the ending though, as most people seem to 😜
I'm near the end of this book and it's getting very wibbly wobbly timey wimey.
It's Friday? Mine was so busy... 😯
Now is time for reading. I finally got the 3. book from Queen of the Tearling series. Now I can read it.😊

I‘ve started this one and found I‘ve forgotten a few details of the previous one I just finished! Not sure how I managed that, but interrupted sleep is probably the culprit. Enjoying it anyway 😆
We reached a compromise. I can read, as long as he can sit on me and keep a paw on my book.
so this book..... I'm half dissapointed and half OK with it. It's been hours later and still feeling the same.

- Everyday is a Taco Tuesday day - I seriously love tacos!
- I buy flannel shirts from the men's dept because they're way warmer than any I can get in the women's.
- I root for the shark every time. 🦈🦈
The final installment of this trilogy--I couldn't put it down! It wrapped up a lot of the lingering questions I had from book two--The Invasion of the Tearling. I liked that the secondary characters were true to form. I didn't like that it was told in flashback as much as it was; I missed the action of Kelsea. Good storytelling!
