I love traveling almost as much as reading when you can combine the two it is infinitely better. I found this article on Condenast Traveler website.

This summer has been full of surprises and vacations. I've traveled a lot for work and for play with the family. And in all that traveling time, I have read. A LOT. We drove to Florida from NC to visit the mouse and we flew cross country to visit my brother and his family. It's been an amazing adventure for our family of 3, as we wait to become a family of 4. My list of books won't fit in here so, to the comments we go.

Stopped by a local book store on a family trip to Carlsbad. We‘ve been doing this a lot this summer - safe to say it‘s a new family tradition. 💕#supportlocalbookstores

4. Toadies - Rubberneck 20th Anniversary show at The Stone Pony. Played the whole amazing album straight through. So good. (Made me feel old!)

I really can't catch a break...The last few books I've read (with the exception of maybe 1) have been disappointing. I had read Chris Pavone before, and enjoyed both The Expats and The Accident, so thought I'd give The Travelers a try. I wish I could go back in time and read something else. An overly convoluted plot, uninteresting and unlikeable characters and a narrative that was both extremely vague and verbose. I barely finished it.

A nice little spy thriller to help me pass the time while I wait for my daughter‘s last art class of the year to finish.

When I first started this book I didn‘t find it that interesting. It was a bit of a muddled mess. There were so many characters‘ perspectives it was hard to keep track of it all. About halfway through, the book finally started picking up. The story finally started making more sense and had the action I was looking for.

Overall, this wasn‘t the most perfect thriller but it was still entertaining.

Currently Reading: The Travelers by Chris Pavone. This is a spy thriller. I‘m about 50 pages in and so far nothing that exciting has happened.

No my usual fare but it's the "bonus book" for one of my book clubs this month and I try to be a good sport even if the book isn't one I would typically chose for myself. The first few pages grabbed me and the title is #red for today's #30DaysofReadathon prompt so....so far so good. #readathon @DeweysReadathon

First half of the book was great but found I could care less what happened to the main characters after awhile. I thought it was predictable and clear set up for a series. Not sure it was worth the calories I munched on as I read the book!

I liked this, though it was slow diving in as I didn't have large chunks of time to read. I kept hearing the Bourne music in my head as I read. I think I liked his other books better, but it was still a solid read. #LitsyPartyofOne

I will be working on finishing this tonight for #LitsyPartyofOne. Just getting started as I took my daughter to gymnastics and got groceries. After seeing a post about Moe's, I begged my husband to go get me Taco Bell. So not the same, but it'll do. And I am always drinking Dr. Pepper. No music, though I am sure I will hear the jangle of #pearl's collar soon.

Reading this on kindle now. It's fast moving when I have time to read, but I have been working so much that I have not had a lot of time. Today, on my day off, I have been running errands most of the day and doing laundry and menu planning. Hoping to read the rest of the night! #MAKEROOMMAKEROOM

My insomnia has been killing me this week. Some day I will sleep past 4 am again. Until then at least I have plenty of books and a cat to keep me company. Plus it's Saturday! Still reading The Travelers. It's pretty good but not so good I can't put it down. 🎉🐱📚

This book is all sorts of crazy and unrealistic. Just what I need tonight.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as The Expats but still raced through the fast-paced, action-packed CIA/spy story involving quite a hapless main character. Kept me guessing right until the end, which read like a script for a blockbuster movie.

I struggled to get into it but once I did, I couldn't put it down! Last 100 pages read like an action film!

Appropriate book for today!

Really fun read! Glamorous locations, plot twists galore, some humor, what's not to love?

Reading this now. I enjoy his books so much -- they're just FUN. They remind me of movies like Charade or To Catch a Thief...the glamorous, witty spy/crime novel.

It's not a good sign when you were in the middle of reading a spy thriller, you put it down, *and then you completely forget about it!* I'll whip through this and write a proper review; but it's not looking promising as anything more than a non-thrilling thriller :-/
