In Santa Fe. Drawn to the sign but sadly it was closed.
I loved this - the drama, the dedication, the overly high stakes for a crime involving just the one rare book... the glimpse into old school library technology (as its set in the 70s) and this whole getaway scene 😂
Books 📚 are the most quietest and most constant of friends🤞🏻. They are the most accessible and wisest counselors, and the most patient of teachers ☺#bookholic#booklove✌🏻✌🏻
My haul today was 55! My husband got 24. All added up we got 134 books at the library book sale this week!!!!!! I have a problem I think 🤔
Back from London 😩 to the hot and dry Los Angeles. At least I have a mini book haul to keep me happy! Of course I wanted to buy so many more books with their beautiful UK covers, but I had to restrain myself. So happy I got to browse the lovely Persephone bookstore! Also happy to have gotten a signed copy of The Vegetarian (and I ❤️ this cover) and also this great cover of Homegoing!!
I might have ordered a book, or two, or eight!!! Totally #blameitonlitsy
But I can now send off my #jryulebookswap and my #totebookswap - just need to gift wrap all the goodies.

For my shipping details!! Did anyone else shop the Book Outlet sale?
Just got back from our Santa Barbara vacay and huge used book sale. It was bibliophile heaven! I hugged almost the entire selection of classic literature and happily lingered at the biography/memoir table. Best finds: autographed Alice Hoffman, Steinbeck bio and first edition Anne Tyler. 😍Still unpacking all my treasures, so more photos to come. I missed hanging out with you all here. Hope everyone is doing well and reading something fun. 🤗📚
Hello lovely littens!
I'm in Edinburgh right now and ask for your advice. Are there any bookshops/ restaurants/ cafés that I have to check out?
#FallIntoBooks #day13 #Guilty I am so so guilty of continuing to buy books even though my TBR takes up one side of my library shelves! And I'm also guilty of getting to the postman before the hubby, hiding boxes & packing cases & telling him "No honey, I've had those books for ages!" Or " That's a pre order I forgot about!" ??♀️
I'm off on a little road trip with my husband and just look at the map I found for this city. Consider me armed and dangerous. 😬
In Oakland California in 1973, Special Agent Bay of the Library Police is a tough as nails detective, taking down book thieves. This graphic novel captures the feel of a gritty 70‘s cop show with a library theme and it‘s amusing for some of its references to older library technologies (e.g., magnetic tape and card catalogs).
This is my June book haul! 😱Well, I read 3 books from this book pack and 3 books that I had from my previous book hauls! A total of 6 books read during the month of June! Pretty bad since I had seen some Litsy friends who had read more that 10 books per month😳I'm a slow reader😢But I'm addicted to books so that doesn't mean I will stop acquiring more books! I have until...99 yrs old to read them?🤔what I need is a speed reading class😉
