Good wrapup for the previous two books. Imaginative, complex.

132/150 Wow!! This was an amazing conclusion to the Radch Space trilogy. Going in, I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, how Breq and Seivarden was going to defeat the tyrant. I'm very satisfied with the conclusion, which kept me guessing until the end, and I want more.
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2nd book for #20in4 @Andrew65
One moment asleep.
Not the most interesting first line, but I'm very exciting to start the final book of the Radch Space trilogy. The first two books were awesome, I hope there's a satisfying conclusion.

The end of this series does not disappoint! Leckie builds tension over the course of 300 pages and then let‘s it dissolve in ten. Like a sugar cube in tea, the story‘s all the sweeter for it.
Finishing a series, blowing the powder off my space gun and returning it to my holster like a pro.
This series won a space station full of awards and deserved them. The first one is still my favourite with the most in depth character arc but two and three are great fun, a rollicking adventure, great AI (yes I always say that, I do love a good hearted AI) and possibly the best alien species ever. Heart eyes for the Presger 😍
Finished reading the Ancillary trilogy and loved it. It's grand space opera but its also an intimate and subtle story of relationships. It subverts the tropes of grand space opera but somehow sustains the excitement and tension usually associated with the genre. Assassins, warships, AIs, a space tyrant and alien races confront each other but matters are best resolved... over tea? Loved this.
Finishing up this trilogy before I start another one. Loved the first two and I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
“‘I‘m given to understand,‘ said translator Zeiat thoughtfully, ‘that most, if not all, humans, are built by other humans. If that‘s a disqualification for significance, which I‘m not sure it is, if that‘s a disqualification for significance then NO, I don‘t like it one bit.‘” The Presger are just the best.
Pictured: this year‘s first bloom on my cherry brandy hibiscus, a housewarming gift from @brandybear22 when we‘d just started dating 🥰 🌺
“I would like to point out that as soon as lieutenant Ekalu let you know that actually, your intended compliment was offensive to her, you immediately stopped trying to be nice.”
OH DAMN, SHIP.
Listening while I deep clean the refrigerator. Glamorous, no? 😏
Here‘s the thing, y‘all: I read ANCILLARY JUSTICE for the hype and picked up ANCILLARY SWORD because I was a Hugo voter the year it was nominated, but MERCY? I don‘t have a compelling reason to finish it. I can appreciate what Leckie does here, but I‘m not drawn to the story and I have no emotional investment in the characters.
I hit 44% on my morning run and decided that was it. Time to listen to something else.
I wasn‘t quite fast enough to catch this deer in the middle of the road, where she was much easier to see. #audiowalk #litsywalkers
I took an excellent #audiowalk with a dog who refused to look at the camera. At least this pic shows off his lush coat and the Cavalier lucky spot on top of his head. #litsywalkers
If you want a sci-fi book that is fast paced and glorifies war, do not read this book. If you want a book that glorifies free will, equal opportunity, incredible significant beings and being brave enough to move forward even though all the details/factors cannot be known, read this book.
Translator Zeiat was my favourite character 😂😂 This was a good conclusion to the trilogy, although strangely enough I think I liked the second book best.
I thought the first one was okay so it took me a while to bother with the second one but now I'm totally sucked in and will be sad when the trilogy ends with this one. Have definitely grown attached to this MC.
A solid conclusion to a wonderful series. I love that Leckie writes a new story with each volume, and how her conclusion is hopeful without neatly (and unrealistically) resolving every outstanding question. I recommend this entire series.
I almost forgot to post my review of this, got distracted by all those shiny shiny new books. I very much enjoyed this trilogy, it was unique & innovative like all the very best SciFi is. But I have to say, the ending, while not awful, did seem a bit rushed & not as awesome as the trilogy deserved it to be. I do still very much recommend this series & this author, I just hope any new work is concluded better. Still 4⭐️
After falling down a “booktube” rabbit hole the last few hours,I‘m getting back to the third & final book in Ann Leckies Ancillary series.I‘m loving this series so much, I don‘t want it to end!😫I‘m still on a SciFi kick atm so I‘ll maybe pick up Lifelik3 by Jay Kristoff or maybe get straight onto the new Becky Chambers.Or even Red Rising.🤔I‘m mood reading right now & it seems to be keeping me out of my slump so hurray for that. Now back to Breq.
Satisfying conclusion to a trilogy! Experiencing that bittersweet moment when you realize there‘s no more to read because you finished the book 📖 📚

Decided to jump right into the third book in the Ancillary trilogy by Ann Leckie. Very much enjoying her writing, I love clever SciFi, stories that are unique in some way. I‘ve found that this genre has more scope for authors to really let their imaginations fly. Even more so than fantasy. I‘ve read a lot over the years & very rarely have I come across a boring SciFi story. This one picks up after the events at Athoek Station in Ancillary Sword.🛸
Another Ann Leckie fan joined me on the commute today. 🤣 Bona fide #bookworm
Love everything about this book & the entire Imperial Radch trilogy. Strong characters, complex worldbuilding, exquisite plotting, & BIG questions—identity, humanity, individuality, freedom, sentience, AI, imperialism, & occupation to name but a few—make this trilogy one of the best science fiction series (really any series) I‘ve read in a very, very, long time (maybe ever). Breq!!! On to Provenance (set in same world). Highly recommended.
Love this.
Not really a spoiler...just being extra cautious.
“We can‘t leave things the way they are, and I have an idea.”
“What‘s it like? Does it hurt? Sometimes I think I might like to get an idea...”

These books!!! So good! A shout out to Annalee Newitz who told me I should read them. She was so right!!!
It‘s an overcast Saturday full of chores. Still, there‘s enough time to squeeze in a mid-afternoon treat. Love the Imperial Radch Trilogy—Breq is a new favorite character—and cannot wait to see how it ends. Even though I don‘t really want it to end...
Three last books of three trilogies. What am I waiting for? 😯😯😯 #ReadingResolutions by @Jess7 #photochallenge
The ending of trilogies is always a little scary. What if it sucks. But man Ancillary Mercy is perfect. I've loved the entire series and this ending was brilliant set up and executed. Sigh... Going to miss this world. #acelife #scifi #besttrilogies
About halfway through, and boy is all that setup from book ‘Ancillary Sword‘ popping off! I‘ve been reading them from the St. Paul library on the Libby app.
This book is excellent. This is my favorite of the trilogy. This world is excellent, the characters are excellent, the story is fast paced and exciting. I would recommend this series to any scifi lovers. #scifi #sciencefiction
Has anyone read this trilogy? Is it any good?

A fantastic conclusion to this trilogy, although book two of the series is my favorite. I strongly recommend this series to anyone looking for a space opera that questions the meaning and the bounds of personhood, humanity, and love.
A great way to wrap up the month of August!
The conclusion or Cousins are Met in the Strangest of Circumstances.
I'm halfway into this book and i have no a clue whats happening. Im about to bail in a big way.
The conclusion to the trilogy is great in many many ways. But after do long of Breq knowing what she's doing, the ending throws me -- it relies so much on coincidence.
Yep, still around here somewhere. I love Litsy, but I keep getting overwhelmed by all the social stuff I do online. Plus, I'm really obsessive and shouting at myself about the books I missed mentioning over the past few weeks.
But screw perfectionism, right? I'll be rereading Ancillary Mercy tomorrow, with this handsome fella for company. He's learned to snuggle with me for a nap, so tomorrow we try reading. #BunniesofLitsy
Pros: This is a quick read, everything is more or less wrapped up in the series, some interesting characters.
Cons: Very little action, lots of relationship drama rather than world drama, everything feels a little too neat and tidy.
Sneaking in under the wire for today's #maybookflowers prompt. The last page of my beloved Imperial Raadch trilogy. (I guess this is technically a spoiler.)
Had a good writing day, so now I'm rereading a favorite book & drinking honey-lavender hot chocolate.
Spent today finishing this last book in the trilogy. This book was a great end to an enjoyable series. We got to know Breq even better. There were moments of humour and the Translator for an alien 👽 race was an especially interesting character. I found this book as good as the first one. Rather sorry 😐 to come to the end.
The Doctor Who Marathon is distracting me from my book. Started the last book of the trilogy 🚀
#artificialintelligence #aprilbookshowers I've really enjoyed the first book of the trilogy, an interesting story of an AI from a space ship finding its way into a modified human .
#riotgrams day 4 (i think?): anaander is taking it for favorite villain at the moment, but that's in part because I haven't read that many books with concrete villains in a while
(Also featuring an amazing Breq bookmark)
