Listened to this one with my husband while traveling this weekend. We both enjoyed it but agreed we‘ve enjoyed others from Kubica more. Still, it was nice listening together.

Today‘s Prompt: MADDENING
Another good one you won‘t want to miss.
Clara was an ANNOYING/MADDENING character for me because she had no clue about what was going on in her household, and her parenting skills were awful.
EVERY LAST LIE is a suspenseful, attention-grabbing read from the opening lines.

I found this book to be easily forgotten and boring.

Today‘s Prompt: BELIEVE
Clara couldn't believe her husband was talking on the phone while driving, driving too fast around a curve when he had their daughter in the car, and having an affair.
Marvelous from the first word to the last.
Ms. Kubica‘s books are always suspenseful and have attention-grabbing opening lines.

Ugh.
Surprise! If you act like an idiot, make terrible life decisions, and keep secrets from your spouse things get bad and over-dramatic. 😒
3-3.5 stars. This was suspenseful, but not surprising. Despite the annoying main character‘s quick jump to suspect anyone and everyone of her husband‘s murder, Occam‘s Razor is applicable here and the most logical explanation turns out to be right... I finished it in a day and a half so there‘s that, but I definitely enjoyed some of her other books more, including her newest - The Other Mrs!

Day 3 of reading for me in a row... that has not happened in a very long time. A book a day I have been doing... which means I stay up WAY to late reading🤔
32% into this audiobook. I have a book club to go to for it on Thursday so I need to power thru it quickly. But I feel pretty good for being about a 3rd done. Got a lot of steps in while listening to this too.

Stayed up pretty late to finish this one because I couldn‘t put it down 😅 love a good page turner like this.
Over the past few years, I have realized Mary kubica is one of my favorite authors and this book just reiterated that even more! What a rollercoaster of emotions! I just finished and I‘m still trying to process! So suspenseful, but not too slow paced or too fast paced! I honestly did not see the ending coming and you either love it or hate it and I loved it!
I WILL finish this book tonight! It‘s so good that I‘ve stayed up late two nights reading as much as I can and have had to work two twelve hour days so far and haven‘t gotten a lot of reading time in, but I just NEED to know how it ends!
Love nights were I can snuggle up with my sweet kitties and read❤️

I think this may be the first fiction audiobook I ever finished, thanks to my new audiowalk and a little inside listening as well. This started out strong but unfortunately disappointed me by the time it ended. It was enough, however, to get me out to do my #LitsyWalkers audiowalk Day5 (I think it‘s day 5🧐)
Boring, but I got out there again. Looking forward to green. #litsywalkers.
PS. Not my street. Two blocks away ( proof of walk). 😉
#litsywalkers Done! Just got back from my not-that-long walk. I‘m really enjoying the tagged book on audio. My copy of this book is out there somewhere among the #whodunitbymail crew, so I thought I‘d try it on audio. At least it‘s keeping me walking!
Please pardon the photo. Forgot to take a pic on my walk.
Just got back from my walk today. After all the snow, there is nothing to look at but slush and grey yuck. This was the best I could do. I did get through Day2!!

Meh. 🤷🏽♀️ that‘s how I feel about this book.
I don‘t think I was in the right mood to appreciate what was going on in this book. I found myself skimming paragraphs that were repetitive. I was very tempted just to read the last two chapters to know what happened.

Told in alternating perspectives of Clara in the present day, and Nick leading up to the accident, Every Last Lie accelerates in pace and suspense, but ultimately it stalls a little at the end. Unfortunately with this ending, Kubica negates all of the suspense and build up she so masterfully weaves throughout. That being said, I would still recommend this book as well as Don't You Cry and The Good Girl.
Oh Kubica. What happened?! Still very good and suspenseful writing but that's all I've got for praise.
I started #everylastlie yesterday and am happy that the book is as good as the cover looks. #unputdownable
Standalone, psychological thriller - tale of marriage & secrets. Clara world shatters - her husband and 4 year old daughter are in a car crash, killing Nick, Maisie unharmed. Clara searches for answers which take her to dark places she would never want to go. Suspenseful page-turner, twists and turns you don't see coming. Kubica's books are addictive as the ending you expect is not what you get. Recommend to those who like psychological thrillers.
Finished this last week... Great for a road trip we really enjoyed it!!!
Clara‘s world shatters when her husband and their daughter are in a car crash, killing Nick while Maisie is remarkably unharmed. The crash is ruled an accident.
When Maisie starts having night terrors about what really happened on that fateful afternoon, Clara is plunged into a desperate hunt for the answers. Who would have wanted Nick dead? And why? She will stop at nothing to find out—and finding out the truth is only the beginning...
Received my #marchmysterybookswap from @guinsgirlreads I haven't read any of this authors books yet, this sounds good! The bookmark is awesome, thank you! Your book is on the way Leanna!
I was really drawn in by the main character, a new mother struggling with single parenthood and the loss of her husband. However, the range of emotions she went through were a bit much for me. I hung in there to see what happened. 😢
A woman thinks her husband has died in a car accident, until her small daughter (who escaped the accident unharmed) starts having night terrors. The story is told in alternating perspectives of the wife after the accident and the husband leading up to the accident. #labsoundtrack
This is one looooong drive. Flagstafff—>San Diego today and stretching my legs for a few minutes. This mystery is keeping me entertained in the car.
#TBRtemptation post 5! Clara's world turns upside-down when her husband, Nick, dies in a car crash. Their 4-year-old daughter, Maisie, was unharmed, though has night terrors afterward that get Clara thinking that the crash may not have been an accident. Her search for answers will lead to secrets, deceit, and and further collapse of the life that her and Nick had built together. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
Starting this audio and finishing up Persepolis before starting my @litsybookclub book!
I enjoyed the book overall. Just felt the ending was anti-climatic. Still a good read. I especially like the way the story unfolds between the present and past.
Another cold night of a cat and a book. I got this one is my hygge swap from @kendrastephaniekaryn !! I‘m sorry that it took me so long to post it, and even longer to start it! It‘s amazing so far!

🎉📚 and another great ebook deal today for anyone looking for suspense! My review: http://link.bookriot.com/view/56a82008e661f06c6e8c3d7e5ziq3.h0y/ea27f988
I did enjoy this page-turner of a read, but I don‘t consider it to be a thriller. It was actually an examination of a woman's journey through the many stages of grief. It was also an exploration of how keeping secrets can affect a relationship. My main issue with it was my frustration with the characters & their lack of good judgement. I vehemently disagreed with many of the choices they made, especially with the ones that involved young children.
Sadly I️ do not have room on my TBR shelves for one more book and I️ refuse to start another TBR shelf. So a book buying ban is really in effect this time! 🙅🏼♀️ #sundayshelfie #bountiful #somanybookssolittletime #blameitonlitsy

Having read all of Mary Kubica‘s books, this is my least favorite. It was a decent read, but I found Clara annoying and naive pretty quickly. For me, the level of suspense was minimal and I wasn‘t hanging onto the edge of seat.
