The Crown: The official book of the hit Netflix series | 
Being Queen and a mother makes for some complicated relationships. The Crown is one of my favorite series. I really enjoy the Robert Lacey companion books (two volumes so far) for greater historical context and photos.

pick4⭐️ Much like Vol 1, this book covers the things that were covers in seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix series. And much like the first volume, the author separates fact from fiction (the show is pretty accurate). Of course I‘m a fan of the show, but I felt that the book was stronger during the first half of the book. Overall, it was well done and I hope the 3rd vol comes out more quicker than the 2nd vol.

1. Our house the day we moved in! I don‘t have any others from the outside yet even though we‘ve lived here since the end of November 😅.

pickI LOVED this book! Definitely a must read for fans of the show, especially those like me with no self control and who binge watched the entire series in two days. It filled in the blanks that a show can‘t due to time constraints and let you know what was fact and what was fiction in an easy to read manner. Lots of photos from both real life and stills from the show! 5/5 stars, might have to buy for myself!
The tagged book! I binge watched The Crown on Netflix during the polar vortex so I‘ve gone down the rabbit hole with wanting to read more about the Windsor‘s and that time period 😂. So of course I had to ILL this one to read! #whatareyoureading @TheReadingMermaid
pickShopping in Maitland yesterday. Keen 2 read some of Liane‘s sister‘s work & start on The Crown. CD is Toni Childs, who I hated once but she came to my yoga studio & taught & now I ❤️her. I ❤️to buy the kids the movies I loved as a child so there is Pollyanna & 3 men and a baby in this stack plus a Roller Derby documentary we can all enjoy. I got all of this for the grand total of $23.00. The Red Cross in Oz is more expensive than other op shops.

Watching The Crown today (mostly because of this hunk ??) and this line was spoken in regards to piloting a plane: "Once you break through the clouds to the clear blue beyond, the space, the silence, the transcendent beauty, it's church for the irreligious man." Really lyrically beautiful writing in this series!

pickI loved this book! If you‘re a fan of the show (or just a fan of the history of Queen Elizabeth‘s reign) this is a great book to read. It gives you some insight in to the show, but it‘s really more of a history of what actually happened during this time period. Very enjoyable! P.S. There‘s a Scout in the background for fun! 😉
I ended up with an unexpected day off of work tomorrow (no MD to work with, so I get a paid day off- not complaining!), so I‘m late night reading by my book light while the hubby and the puppies are all snoring.

pick@drbethandherkindle distracted me from #MountTBRChallenge by bringing this home for the weekend. There‘s a chapter in this book for every episode of season 1 and a lot of pictures both from the show and real life. So good!
And finished the book just in time for Season 2
pickIf you are a fan of the show, you will really enjoy the book. An excellent look at what was fact or fiction in the show. Apparently the fight the Queen and the Duke had in the 6th episode did happen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finishing this tonight because tomorrow S2 drops on Netflix. Maybe I‘ll stay up and watch it right after it drops
