Beautiful book and a nice graphic adaptation of some of his works.

It was just okay. I am not sure I would consider this a GN. I think of it more as a fully illustrated collection since little to no speech or thought bubbles were used. Some of the stories like the Mask of the Red Death were so paired down, it took it‘s soul away, while others, we just too long winded (I‘m looking at you Tell Tale Heart).

Definitely a great new way to revisit these stories again!
They really did a very good job with the graphics in this version.

Flew through this graphic adaptation of Poe‘s horror greatest hits in under an hour. The art is well done, and enhances the stories and poems. The only issue I have to with the abridgment of the actual text, but this is still a collection I‘ll have to buy myself. 😍🖤

Christine - your book arrived today! I can‘t wait to crack it open and dive in! I 🖤 Poe, too, so I‘m sure to love this!
Hope all is well with you!

Which is your favorite story by Poe? I loved "The Cask of Amontillado"
I found "The tell tale heart" to be very modern, and the "Raven" a masterpiece
Great illustrations set the mood wonderfully.
Highly recommended ??
For anyone wondering, these are the stories and poems included in this Poe graphic. I thoroughly enjoyed this and found that the visual style was different for each work, which was impressive. Highly recommend!
Last summer I read the graphic version of Beowulf by Gareth Hinds. I just found his graphic of Poe's work at the local library the other day. This picture at the beginning of The Tell-Tale Heart is really dark and subtle with a heart tree growing up through the house. Very cool!
Congrats to @laurenashley (incidentally one of my former students has this name) for hitting 4444. #4444giveaway My top 4 TBR that I don't own are: Poe: Stories and Poems (graphic. tagged book). I'll Be Gone in the Dark. Ready Player One. and Wild Seed by Octavia Butler
Look at these end pages!!🖤 Amazement #speechbubblechallenge #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon @TricksyTails @Clwojick Though I‘m not sure that end pages count, they‘re too cool not to share!
🖤🖤🖤🖤 Would Furry Tales count for this? Cause ravens can be furry...I guess...if not I guess he could also be a sidekick from hell considering he never leaves 🙄🤣 Love this image so much! #speechbubblechallenge #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon @TricksyTails @Clwojick
My favorite poem by EAP. Followed closely by Annabel Lee, but The Raven will always be my favorite. #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon
Throwback- I remember reading this in 6th grade English. Think I enjoyed reading it a little too much compared to my classmates 😅 #speechbubblechallenge #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon @TricksyTails @Clwojick
All the feels-love this ending line! #speechbubblechallenge #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon @TricksyTails @Clwojick
My favorite EAP short story! Love these intro pages. #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon
Next up for #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon Love me some Poe!
A selection of Poe‘s short stories and poems bought together by Gareth Hind‘s artwork. A great choice for anyone wanting to dip into Poe.
Graphic novel adaptation. Includes The Masque of the Red Death, The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Bells, and The Raven.
I enjoyed reading this collection of Poe's work as a graphic novel. The illustrations are fantastic and pair beautifully with the writing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The graphics went beautifully with some of Poe's more famous and not so famous stories, an excellent collection. If you're a Poe fan, I suggest adding this to your collection!

So beautiful! This is from Annabelle Lee.
Brilliant! More illustrated than graphic adaptation but a definite must-have for Poe fans. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Masque of the Red Death
I am an over the top Edgar Allan Poe fan. When I saw this graphic novel available for early review, I knew I had to request it.
Poe's work pairs beautifully with the visual of this graphic novel. The images portray the horror, despair, and Gothic feel of Poe's stories. Since "The Cask of Amontillado" is my favorite, I was interested to see how it would be visually portrayed. The horror of the bricking up of the wall is perfectly captured.
