Had to jump on the #10BeforeTheEnd train as it will enable me to finish my romance book bingo, read some back list TBR books and complete one more challenge before the end of the year.

I‘ve been meaning to read this one forever…glad I finally got to it! Loved it, but I‘ve been all about hockey romances lately. This one did deal with some strong issues - TW for rape, abuse.

My goals for #AwesomeApril are to finish my 2 current reads (on the right) and to read the others as well. 📚😊
This book is one that I felt like I needed to like more than I did. It was good, I loved the characters, but it just felt like a less good version of Icebreaker. I really wish that it was a book I loved, I wish it was something I could rave about, but it just felt like something I‘ve read before.
“You‘re not broken, baby. I promise.”

I‘m pretty sure that I‘m the broken one now because this book is breaking my heart and making it whole all over again
Elle Kennedy once again knows how to drag me right into the mix of her books. If only I could attend Briar University!
Hannah has a crush, but she can‘t get past physical touch b/c of her past. She agrees to tutor Garrett in exchange for his help in getting her crush to notice her. They end of fake dating, but one kiss ends up leading to more. Will Hannah still want to be w/ her crush?
4.5 ⭐️ This 1 was so good. I liked the plot, characters, & spice. Disclaimer: includes rape. It doesn‘t go in full detail, but it‘s the reason for her physical touch issue.
I loved this book. Hannah and garret are my comfort characters and I would protect them with my life.
Today, I‘m sharing a #bookheart for Heart Health Month. February is Heart Month. I made this heart and painted it myself. This is showing romance books from my Goodreads TBR that I haven‘t read yet. I‘m embarrassed that I haven‘t read these books yet. The books that are standalones would be easy to read. However, the books that are in a series will take more time to read because it‘s a commitment and I‘m not ready to commit to another series yet.
we love it when authors pick and choose what parts of sa trauma apply just enough to give character but not enough to be too inconvenient. But fr like what?! But if you get past the lowkey slut shaming and «I‘m not like the other girls » annoyingness then it‘s not bad. Cringy but easy to read kinda like an episode story.
Unpopular opinion: this sucked. Bailed at about 35%, I just couldn‘t stand the grotesque, immature college-guy dialogue anymore. Written more like a fan fic and I‘m real disappointed because this is a pretty popular recommend.
Immature hockey college boy obsessed over music girl to the point they actually fall for each other. After she uses him in a deal to try and hookup with another guy. So many sexual jokes. Driving me crazy. Granted the talk of abuse and rape was handled well. The story definitely kept me going. I didn‘t live away at college so maybe I just don‘t get this level of “we‘re boys so we like boobs”. Too much sex and alike for me
Trigger: rape & abuse
It was good but I found some of the dialog between characters a little cringy. I get that these are immature collage guys but yeesh. This book made me realize that maybe sports romances aren‘t for me. However I think I would try something else from this author in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spent the first couple of weeks of the New Year binge reading these books by Elle Kennedy and I'm hooked. They were so much fun and I'm emotionally invested in these fictional characters' lives! 🤣🤣 Enlisting my book club girls to read them so I'm not alone!
Second read-through.. I‘ll forever love Garrett Graham with my entire soul
Home and freezing after spending 2 hours at the rink cheering on one of my kiddos. Planning to dive into this book with a heating pad, heated blanket and a cup of tea. Happy Thursday!
If you love hockey and can deal with hockey players. READ THIS BOOK! I loved everything about this book Elle Kennedy did really well at showing the problems that someone can have with trauma. I loved this book so much.
Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I had the best time reading this and couldn‘t put it down!
Good reasons to sit in the pickup line a little early. A good book and a chai latte ☕️
Book #42: I did not expect to love this, but booktok is a pretty trustworthy book rec source. I got this for free on kindle. I devoured this in a day. Easy read, fast paced, spicy scenes. Everything wraps up in a satisfying way. Now, I‘m going to have to read this whole series!!
I think I might be enamored with Garrett Graham. I think everyone needs him in their lives.
Is he a 20 year old college man whore? Yep
Is that all he is? Nope
Don‘t you want to know more? I‘m actually considering adding this to a future TBR again soon.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this
I‘ve had this on my TBR for a while because I swear it shows up on a bunch of fave romance lists. Here‘s hoping it makes up for the shite one I just finished.
Wow, first book down already. I read most of this book yesterday as I practically read all day. Yes, this is a steamy read, but also deals with some heavy topics and the author does it really well. I enjoyed this story a lot and want to read the rest of the series now. Great quick, summer read.
#AwesomeAugust @Andrew65
I have to tell you it took me awhile to engage with this one but when I was finally hooked it was a solid read I highly enjoyed.
All I can say is run to Amazon, do not walk, RUN to Amazon or where ever you get your Kindle books and get this book!!!Oh my stars!! I love this book so much, I finished and already want to do a reread of it!! I love the characters, the plot, the setting, basically everything about this book. What starts off as two people studying for a class together, quickly becomes something more than anyone could have planned for. Highly Recommend

Update #February #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
(2 Feb) #1 - Demon King - Plot okay, characters felt disconnected
(2 Feb) #9 - Unmasqued - 0 to steamy fast, some scenes felt like cover ups for nothing going on, prose saved this from 1 ⭐
(2 Feb) #11 - The Deal - absolutely loved this, humorous dialogue while also including some heavy topics, couple isn't overly possessive
Great start but I'm stuck on what to read next. Full reviews #GoodReads
Finished this audiobook on our walk tonight. Enjoyed the story as much as I did the first time I read it. The narration was just OK though. One of the narrators also narrates the next book in the series, so pretty sure I will not be listening to that one.
#audiowalk at the Nature Park this afternoon. There was a cooler breeze, so the walk today was very pleasant.
I adore this book. I had some issues with the characters, but not that bad to change my opinion about the book.
This was a weird case where I liked the characters and was immersed in the (light and steamy) plot, but I found several plot points and the relationship to be problematic. So, this one wasn‘t for me.
But this is an #unpopularopinion, and you can get the book for free for Kindle.
#25Etsy giveaway @Megabooks Congrats for passing such a huge milestone! Thanks for the chance to win. My favourite read so far this summer is The Deal by Elle Kennedy. I‘m halfway into the sequel and it‘s also great!
I LOVED this book. It was so much more than the simple New Adult College Rom-Com I was expecting. There was a lot more to the main characters and I fell hard for them. There were plenty of funny moments, and sexy ones too, but there was also a depth to the story. Highly recommend.
WHERE HAS THIS BOOK BEEN HIDING?
I wanted to get more into some romance novels and ask what she liked and well she mentioned this one which i got free on Play Books but now after reading it i NEED to own it.
Garrett is my new favorite character and the smart ass remarks are awesome.
Both Garrett and Hannah reminds me so much of my relationship with my husband and i love when authors can do that.
The Deal is currently free in ebook format. This was my first foray into sports romance. Who knew a gal with no interest in sports would like sports romance? Not me. But I do. #romantsy
