Not as good as the courtyard bids but still really enjoyed it.
Giant breakfast tacos for lunch! I decided I needed to reread Wild Country too. I 💜Anne Bishop.
Sometimes, you‘re forced to go on a family vacation, but then you discover Anne Bishop‘s latest book in the “World of the Others” series! THAT‘S SOMETHING, RIGHT?#worldoftheothers #Icantgohome #sendhelp
The rain has been rough yesterday and today. For #BFC I did some stretches today, and on Sunday walked .5 miles- not much but still more movement than I normally do on high pain days. Sharing my daughters ecard to me because I can. #bookfitnesschallenge
I was not disappointed. There were some expected things (hoped for things, really…) and some twists I didn‘t see coming. And I will say the ending absolutely wrecked me! I mean… all the feels here people! I don‘t know how to say anything without giving away absolutely everything, so all I can say is, if you are a fan of Anne Bishop and her Others series you definitely need to read this.
I'm having a #MigraineDay. Fortunately, it hit over night, so I'm past the point where I can't focus my eyes on anything. Unfortunately, my plans to get some things done today have been put on hold because I slept through the point of my migraine where I can successfully prevent all of the pain. It was divine timing though because I got this beauty from the library yesterday, and I now have very valid reasons to just read all day.
I‘ve struggled to read anything more than a few pages for past few weeks. By the time I had time everything hurt and I could not focus. But last night I started Wild Country, because I knew it could do the trick! And I have my #booked2019 choices glaring at me- with my internal yell back #dontstopmenow !!!!#maymoviemsgic
Occurring parallel to Etched in Bone. Governed by terra indigene, well located with a train station and the promise of jobs and homes, Bennett is a magnet for those looking to start fresh - and for those with more unsavory intentions. When the cassandra sanguine send warnings of blood and black stones, the town must prepare itself for whatever is coming, and hope that they‘re still standing when it does.
And so ends my first ever 24 hour readathon. I had a lot of fun, and read these seven books cover to cover in 25:06. Can‘t wait for the next one!!
-Extreme Makeover by Dan Wells
-Maze Witch by Shannon Mayer
-The Gilded Years by Karin Tanabe
-Jinn and Juice by Nicole Peeler
-My Favorite Half Night Stand by Christina Lauren
-The Matchmaker‘s List by Sonya Lalli
-Wild Country by Anne Bishop

This book was fantastic!! I was nervous going in because I didn‘t like the first spinoff, Lake Silence, but this story just did it for me. If you‘re looking for an interesting take on shifters and vampires that doesn‘t involve a ton of sexytimes, I highly recommend Anne Bishop‘s Others. So good. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
So, her first “World of the Others” book, Lake Silence was no bueno for me (I don‘t like cozy mysteries). But I have much higher hopes for this one. Now the question is, do I dive right in or do I reread the original series for the eleventieth time?
@Chrissyreadit it‘s here!!
This book is so good, but also very very sad. I didn‘t like that the book was parallel to the events on etched in bone but not lake silence, but I am hopeful that there will be more books in this area. The aspects of western fiction are interesting but not my favorite. 4/5 stars. It‘s a good read and I will read it again, but not as often as the other books in this series.
Another great adventure in the wondrous and horrifying world of “The Others”. If you are a fan of the paranormal and want a new and unique world including all your favorite monsters, check out Anne Bishop!!
I love, love, love this series and this world especially. This book definitely won't disappoint fans. We've got a whole new town and new set of humans and terra indigene to meet as they try and live with one another. That's what I love most about this series it's the interactions so much more any plot cause the villains just weren't that scary this time but I certainly hope there are more books to come.
What I love about this book is the relationships between characters! They are slow building, filled with push-pull trust issues but so satisfying. I loved the interactions between Sheriff Virgil & his new deputy, their work relationship was tense but over time it became something endearing & encouraging. I also liked that the town of Bennett had an old time feel to it. Full review with INTERVIEW https://wp.me/p8a3nz-44F #TheGenreMinxBookReviews
So I am the first person at the library to read this. Thanks to the Best Librarian! She knows I am going through a rough time right now, and knew this would be a good pick me up. Bless her and keep her and her family happy and healthy.
Now nothing will get done and all other books will have to wait.
