This is a good start. I like seeing Catgirl before she becomes Catwoman and seeing a different backstory. I like how they incorporated Bruce Wayne, and the entire aspect. I have rated this so low because the story is not finished. It feels like it ends halfway through and there is no mention of a sequel. Also, I thought this was going to be Middle grade, but it drops a few F bombs. I can see many MGs reading it and liking it.
so-soThis was almost a pick. But the story has a lot of loose ends. I needed some more clarity on what happened with the Villian etc. I did like the characters and the art. I love Catwoman and just wanted a little more.

What I got was a story so full of abuse and neglect it made me sick.
Combine that with the fact that this story doesn‘t really go anywhere; and you‘ve lost me.
I did enjoy the art though. The tree color art is something different and I think it works in the overall of the story.

This catwoman tale was a little dark, but I really liked it. Rosie was probably my favorite character.

so-soI think my expectations for this graphic novel were high, as I was underwhelmed with how the story went. Catwoman‘s humble beginning was more casual here then I thought it would be. Though just as heartbreaking. Her personal growth she went though, to learn she can do anything, was a great turn around.

Nothing to see here, just Bruce Wayne, the son of two murder victims, who is so committed to the idea “no one dies” that he dresses up like a bat and regularly fails to kill the murderous Joker, casually offering to kill a man he doesn‘t know.
pickI love comics and graphics novels I also love the dcu ( d.c universe). So when I heard this book was coming out I was so excited. I had to wait a while for the book to my local book store but after a week of waiting they had some copies. I read the book I liked it so much I was able to finish it in the same day. I really liked this book.
so-soIf you can divorce this from anything you know about Batman, you may like it. If, like me, you are a mean pendant, you might spend the book wondering at the idea of upper crust Bruce Wayne, and child-of-a-waitress, Selina Kyle, attending the same public schools and after-school program. This story circles around issues of class and homeless, but doesn‘t ring true to me.
#currentlyreading Sorry I haven‘t been on here much. I have like reverse SAD ( seasonal affective disorder) I get much more depressed in the summer months. The amount of light really doesn‘t bother me. I prefer less light and colder temperatures. In the summer it feels like I am not getting enough oxygen to the point where my brain is fried and my speech is even slurred. Skyward vol 2 is overdue so I‘d better get reading. pickRead yesterday and though it has a juvenile tone, this makes sense given the age of Selena and that it is "the beginning." I would continue reading this one and see how it develops.
