A classic 1960‘s tale made into several Disney films; about two dogs and a cat that by instinct head west 300 miles through Canadian wilderness trying to find their way home.

I love the Homeward Bound movies and I just found out they are based off a book and now I really want to read it, It‘s about a Labrador retriever, a bull terrier, and a Siamese cat who set out on a quest to find their owner and family. 🐶🐶🐱

As a child I think I read this six times over the course of a summer. Definitely fueled my love of animals and writing. Classic!

Hard to believe I wasn't too fond of reading when I was a kid. What? Probably because my teachers made me read long and boring books for school. 😴 Then my cousin gave me this sweet book about those somewhat #innocent pets who got a real taste of the outside world when they searched for their owners. My most favorite friendship is of course Winnie the Pooh and Piglet but then I was thinking of the less obvious ones and remember this book that was later made into a movie, Homeward Bound.
