Some bookish quotes at the library. It's on the other side of a window so the reflections make the photo imperfect, but I think you get the idea.

I live 2 miles away from 1 branch, 3.4 miles away from a second branch, and work a block away from the main branch. My address is an EJT though, so I‘m a non resident. To me this change is great news. Can‘t wait til March arrives. Hopefully this is good news to other Littens also.

Y‘all. I‘ve always liked the #libbyapp even tho I use it less than overdrive (yes I know that‘s backwards) - but the app recently updated and I think my usage will flip! It syncs with my overdrive wishlist (which is a big deal for me) - it indicates how long a wait you can anticipate on items before putting them on hold. It gives you a more comprehensive history of your borrows. I‘m just. Loving. This. Update! 😍 #libby
Another fun meeting of the #LitsyATXReadersSociety today! We discussed books that could fall under the topic of Austin and/or Texas. Most of us wound up reading authors from the area, but there was also some nonfiction about our home state and city. I‘m tagging the books below 😊.
October‘s topic is “Bring out the Dead”, and our meeting will be the 17th. 👻💀☠️
#LitsyATXReadersSociety met yesterday to discuss our books on this month‘s topic: Myths or Faitrytales Retold or Reimagined.
We had a new member this month 💜, welcome Casey! And a special guest, my Mom, who is visiting from AZ. She managed to only tell a couple stories about me, and they weren‘t too embarrassing 😊.
Mom (Linda) is on Litsy but rarely uses it.
The #LitsyATXReadersSociety met today to discuss fairy tale retellings/reimaginings. Some really interesting books were discussed (I know my tbr list grew by quite a few tiltes today 😁). We had one new member join us this month (welcome, Casey!) and Soubhi brought a special guest: her mum! After the meeting we got to take our pic in front of the new mural honoring Daniel Johnston.
#LitsyATXReadersSociety our next meeting is Feb 15th. 4th floor usual room, 471.
I‘m not entirely sure if I‘ll make it this month, as my mom will be visiting from CO and it‘ll depend on if she wants to come 😊. I‘ll post again or Slack message to let you know.
Have you chosen your book yet?
Today‘s meeting of #LitsyATXReadersSociety. Thanks for another afternoon of great book (and Austin public transit issues!) discussions 😊. I really enjoy spending time with you all!
It‘s almost time for the next meeting of #LitsyATXReadersSociety! Have you chosen your January book yet?
As usual, I‘ll be there by 1 in the cafe for lunch if you‘d like to join me. Feel free to bring books to swap if you want to.
Pflugerville folks, let me know if you want to carpool.
As always, feel free to tag others who might be interested, bring your reader friends, let me know if you no longer want to be tagged.
Today‘s theme at our #LitsyATXReadersSociety meeting was banned books. Here are the books chosen by our members, and some of the Christmas cookies we swapped (they‘re hard to see through the baggies.)
We had some excellent discussions and a really fun hangout in the Central Library‘s Cookbook Cafe.
One member also brought us all bookish pins! They didn‘t make it into the photo, and we forgot to get a group shot today. Oops!
Today‘s #LitsyATXReadersSociety was a cozy smaller group. Our topic was “something you‘ve been meaning to read”, which led to a really fun and varied selection! Our library has so many interesting spots for photos!
What‘s been sitting on your TBR shelf for the longest? It‘s hard for me to say for sure, but I‘ve got several contenders for this month‘s topic of #LARS.
If you‘re in the Austin area and interested in checking out our monthly Litsy bookclub meetups, let me know! New comers always welcome!
Reminder: Journal making field trip this Sat, Nov 9th, 2-5.

Here‘s today‘s photo from #LitsyATXReadersSociety. This month‘s theme was Something Spooky. Once again most people read multiple books. We had creepy in the form of haunting, ufos, killer mermaids, regular old crazy people, and paranormal occurrences. It was a fun seasonal meetup.
This picture is titled.. ‘Two happy Littens at the library” 🥰
Took a great tour of Austin Central Library lead by the wonderful @Soubhiville - so many nooks to curl up in, so many chairs to read in, so many views to contemplate life from! 👏🏼❤️👏🏼❤️
#LitsyATXReadersSociety met yesterday at our beautiful Central Branch Library to discuss Travel books. Almost everyone read multiple books! 📚😁
Group shot of #LitsyATXReadersSociety that gathered together today to discuss #classics
For those who couldn‘t make it - we‘d love to hear about what you read for this month‘s theme!
Looking forward to seeing y‘all again next month 😊
It was #classics month for #LitsyATXReadersSociety - and we read some great ones! I loved hearing about quite a few books I haven‘t had a chance to pick up yet, and hearing different perspectives on books I‘ve read in the past. 😍📚😍
It‘s just a week until our next Litsy ATX Reader‘s Society Meeting! August‘s topic is Classics. Have you read yours yet?
This time we‘ll be on the 4th floor, room 471.
I‘ll arrive by 1 as usual if anyone would like to have coffee or a snack in the cafe or in the rooftop garden before the meeting. Hope to see you there!
We‘ve talked about doing some sort of field trip or bookish project... bring your calendars and let‘s see if we can plan one!

Anyone else in Austin TX is welcome to join, whether you live here or will just be here visiting 😊📚.
#LitsyATXReadersSociety July theme was #ownvoices, and we had a nice variety that sparked some really interesting conversations. We all enjoyed our books!

Hi Litsy Austinites! Reminder we‘re splitting the meeting this month so those participating in the 24 in 48 this weekend have the option of tonight instead.
Tonight we‘re in room 207 at 6:30. Saturday will be in room 206 at 2:00. Feel free to come to either or to both! Saturday folks, it would be awesome if you could take and post pics of the group and your books!
See some of you tonight! ❤️📚
At the Central Library for a dinosaur pop-up museum and because I read a book this summer they gave me a pin. #aplafterdark
Good Morning Austin Readers! I‘m trying to get a loose headcount for room reservations for the July meetings! Reminder we‘re adding a Thursday night meeting this time for those who can‘t make Saturday due to the 24in48 readathon that weekend. Please let me know which (or both!) you will attend!
Everyone welcome! Let me know if you‘d like more info! This month‘s topic is #ownvoices fiction.
Have to catch up on #30junebooks as I was out of town for a bit! Here is a favorite #booksource - our beautiful Central Library (although my membership is currently expired 😅)

#LitsyATXReadersSociety books for today's meetup, theme of fantasy / sci-fi!
@Soubhiville @Eyelit @Felso @Sg1224 @erista
3rd meeting of the #LitsyATXReadersSociety and our theme this month was Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Of course I had to read one of both. 😄 I‘ve reviewed both of these in earlier posts and was happy to share them with local Littens. I got quite a few great recommendations as well! Love this group 🥰
Reading view from the rooftop terrace. #LitsyATXReadersSociety in about 45 minutes! 😊📚
It‘s that time again Austin Readers! This coming Saturday is the next meeting of Litsy ATX Reader‘s Society! June‘s topic is Fantasy/ Sci-Fi. I‘m finishing my chunkster today. How are you all doing?
Please RSVP either here or on Slack so we know who to expect. (All Littens welcome, so if you‘re in Austin and not tagged, just let me know if you‘d like to join us!)
As usual, I‘ll be in the cafe at 1 if anyone would like to hang out beforehand 😊
The #LitsyATXReadersSociety May topic was feminism, women‘s studies, and women‘s history. Here‘s what we read! I‘ll tag the books in the comments in case anyone is interested in stacking them.
Today‘s gathering of Litsy ATX Reader‘s Society! Our topic for May was feminism and women‘s history/ issues. We had a great selection of books, and several of us read 2! See my other post for books.
