You know the world is a reassuringly connected community when the lovely @iread2much sends you a card from 5,300 miles away and it is illustrated by the cousin of one of my work colleagues! 😍

Gorgeous children‘s book, I loved it. I get Le Petit Prince feels from this. There‘s a commentary here on mental health and loneliness that can be understood by kids. Highly recommend buying a physical copy of this one for the illustrations. (Ps. This is one of my favourite ornaments.. it fell right after this and broke ☹️)
This book is so beautiful. If you‘ve ever admired one of her book covers, I highly recommend getting her books 🦊🌟 #CurrentlyReading
The Star ⭐️ brings comfort and companionship to a lonely fox, but then the seasons change and the fox 🦊 awakes to no star and hunts for his friend.
The design in this one is beautiful too. Sweet story.

Are you up for posting some gorgeous covers @Simona ? No explanation, just a new cover each day for a week 🙌
Okay, so this isn‘t a book about a #Coyote, but this was as close as I could get - at least, a fox looks a *bit* like a coyote. Or at least I tell myself 😅
This was such a cute little picture book, and Coralie Bickford-Smith‘s illustrations are so pretty 👌

Everything about this book is gorgeous. The cloth-bound cover. The detailed endpapers. The interior illustrations. The lettering. The color choices. The text is sweet, but the art is the star of this beauty. It is a joy just to hold.
This book is utterly gorgeous, inside and out. Beautiful illustrations to savor, and a sweet, slightly sad story about a fox who loses his only friend, the star. 🦊⭐️
From "the Worm and the Bird". And how beautiful is this i a metallic purplish color?
From "The Worm and the Bird". There is a metallic shine to the colors that doesn't photograph well, but I just love it.
Her newest picture book for kids isn't in the database, yet. This is an beautifully illustrated book and I love the color palette in this, even more than in the tagged book.
Good morning! Have you ever read The Fox and The Star??? I love this book😍 it's so sweet 👌
Not the longest or most involved story, but the illustrations make this book just luscious! I really want to take it apart and frame each page I love the artwork so much. Maybe in my future library. 😍
Simply beautiful! Lovely text and art, and I loved the texture of the book.
I loved it! It's a nice story with wonderful illustrations!
I absolutely loved the illustrations in this book. They are gorgeous. The story is a bit sad but ends on a happy note. Even the end paper is amazing. The cover is beautiful. It's just a wonderful stunning book. I got this copy at the library but now I think I will buy a copy for myself. (Dexter is obviously in hibernation because of the snow and not a willing participant in any photo shoots today!)
"But the trees were too tall to hear him"
(Such beautiful end paper!)
I have so much #picturebooklove for this book 😍 Coralie Bickford-Smith is a wonderful artist and I love her covers for the Penguin Clothbound Classics and English Library Classics.

for your consideration: the best and most beautiful picture book if you'd like to cry your eyes out anywhere at any time
I already posted an #artrelatedbooks, so this time I've gone abstractly for one with beautiful art. I went to great pains to get this book before the new year (2015) & got it on new years eve after leaving work early to spend £5 getting in & out of town to pick it up from #waterstones. It was worth it, as I read it at the stroke of midnight after a rough few weeks. It gave me hope& comfort and really is just so, so beautiful.

#laidbackbooks - this beautiful book makes me want to lean back at gaze at the stars! And then, you know, take a nap because my three-year-old made me read it three times in a row #augustphotochallenge #augustofpages
I wish I had kids to read this to. Beautiful book, both physically and content-wise. #24in48 #readathon
Yay, book 1 of my book order has arrived. It looks gorgeous, and I can't wait to read and savour it!
This one has been on my TBR list for a few weeks, and tonight I came across this article about Coralie Bickford-Smith in UPPERCASE magazine. Very interesting. I love beautiful books, so really want to buy this one.
I picked this up solely for the cover; but the story was so touching. Definitely a must read for everyone.
What an absolute beauty of a book!
The illustrations in this one are gorgeous!
I love Coralie Bickford-Smith's designs for the clothbound Penguin Classics series awhile back, so I was excited to hear she was writing a picture book. Alas, the illustrations are lovely, especially the cover, but the story is somewhat wanting. I think I'll stick to being an admirer of her artwork.
The illustrations alone make the book worth buying. The story is really great too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“He asked Star to shine through the clouds so he could dance to the rain‘s tapping beat. All of Fox‘s happiness was bound to the flickering light of the star. And so it had always been.” Coralie Bickford-Smith's illustrations are magical and the prose is delightful. A gorgeous book.
Cleaning out some pics I took of intriguing covers at Midwinter
Such a cute book. Seriously just picked this one up out if cover lust but my 4 year old loved it. Beautiful illustrations and great message to boot!
