I was heartbroken after what I found in the beginning of this book. Books one through three were really fun, but Percy compared a band playing at school to the sound of animal abuse. I cannot and will not finish this series. All he had to do was say that Percy hated the music, but his comparison to animal abuse ruined his series that I would have finished.

Seriously, I can‘t stop reading this series! With every book, it gets better and better, and I‘m getting that feeling in which I want to know how it ends, and at the same time, I don‘t, because I feel like I‘ll never be ready to say goodbye to Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and the whole Camp Half-Blood.

These books keep getting better and better. I found this one fascinating, my son however loves all of them but this is his lowest ranked. We‘ve finished off the original 5 over summer holiday reading them as a family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a great book. I like the little twists in the story and the multiple ways this story could go.
I love how Rick Riordan manages to add so many gods and mythological figures to the story. It makes you want to learn more about them.

I don't know it's my favorite from this storyline but it comes close.

Unabridged Audiobook (7/10):
Although I‘ve found this to be the weakest of the Percy Jackson books so far, I feel it does an incredible job as the penultimate story to the original five book series of the franchise. Some brilliant moments with Percy, Grover, and Tyson that really made me happy as those three are just too precious for this world. Next up, The Last Olympian!

Another fun installment in the Percy Jackson series. I am really enjoying these, although I am not sure I will ever reread them. They are fun and creative adventures, but I just haven't bonded with these characters all that much. Still, this was an entertaining ride and I'm excited to see what happens in the final book!

A very late review of the fourth installment of Percy Jackson... and despite how much I love Annabeth, this was my least favorite book in the series. It may be due to the fact it was setting up for the series finale and I hate having to go through set ups. On a whole, it felt stagnant compared to the other books. I said a couple weeks ago I'm waiting for my library hold to come in so I can finish the series, and hopefully it'll come in this week.

I love this series. It's so fun and interesting. The characters all are different and have unique voices and story arcs. I know this sounds like every other book but I've read a lot of tween/YA/middle grade books where only the main character gets a arc and the rest are all attached their development. This one has everyone growing differently and actually experiencing things on their own.

In a way, there is always one God who turned out to be the most important one in the end of the book. Hera this time, and I'm not sure if I like her or not. In ancient history she is always put down as this jealous vicious woman, but who can blame her if her husband is always sleeping around. I'm just not sure about her yet. I also want to learn a lot more about Rachel, she holds a lot of my interest, and my sweet angel Nico, who is misunderstood!

I love the character development and their relationships with each other. There is definitely a hint of romantic tension between Annabeth and Percy. We get to see Grover shoulder more responsibility in his search for Pan and he grows up a little more. We also see Nico grow beyond his years as he shoulders the burden of grief and loneliness. Riordan throws these characters together–along with a lovable cyclops–and creates a unique dynamic.

Another one down. Still enjoying the interweaving of classical characters, such as Dedalus, with modern day scenarios. I am rather fond of Nico Di Angelo and look forward to the next instalment. Although I have a vague memory of the overall arc of the series from reading with Polly about six years ago, I have forgotten enough to enjoy re-listening in the car with both girls.

I'm rereading these books this year for a group I'm in. Of all the books, I think this one is my least favorite. I'm not sure why. It just didn't have the fun of the others.

#bookspin (finished 7 books)

Palimpsest This was my favorite because I love the labyrinth theme which so many books from Borges and even Renaissance poetry by Mary Roth explores. It‘s been a long time though so I really don‘t remember much about the Percy Jackson books. I might eventually reread my set with my son. 4y

Its Percy's first day of school in a new school called freshman and is totally ready to get expelled... again. But there is something you should know about Percy, he is a half blood which is a person who is half human and half god. So Percy is in school when everything goes wrong
I am really liking this book because it has a good amount of action and writing really good. I would recommend it to people who like nice long books.

Four down...One to go!
Percy goes on another adventure l, this time into Daedalus‘ labyrinth to prevent an attack on Camp Half-blood. This book was different in that he had more of his close friends with him and the tension is ramping up as we are getting closer to the birthday prophecy being revealed. Looking forward to reading the next one, and yet, already sad...

3.5🌟that'll round up because it's not you, it's me.
Possibly the best of the bunch so far, but I just don't love the series. The creatures here are fun weird, like, acid trip weird. (See above that sums it up better than I could.) Not as funny, so many characters, and with a page turn they've arrived at their next destination. It was a quick romp through the labyrinth but the battles in the series never feel like there are real consequences.

4/5💚s

Read this one so fast (& started the 5th) that I didn‘t even have a chance to say I was reading it! I am LOVING this series. But I think in this one my favorite parts (aside from the Greek myth aspect) is when it comes to romantic feelings, whether the characters know or are admitting it or not. Ah teenagers. 😜🤷🏻‍♀️😂 sometimes I wish the characters were older...it wouldn‘t feel so weird shipping them then.

If you enjoy Greek mythology and fictional books, you‘d enjoy Percy Jackson, the Battle of the Labyrinth. In this book, Percy Jackson and his friends, Annabeth Chase, Tyson and Grover, go on a quest in the magical underground labyrinth to find the ancient Daedalus‘s forge. The only problem is the labyrinth is constantly changing, and there is no way to navigate the labyrinth properly, as well as there are monsters forever wandering the labyrinth.

Matticemaggie During their quest, the group ended up in Alcatraz and rescue and ancient Hundred-Handed one names Briares from his capture Kampê. But after all his years of imprisonment, Briares is defeated and leaves the group to their own devices. So onward the continue, hoping to find the ancient forge before Luke and his army find it. Percy and his friends go through many hardships and run into many obstacles throughout this book, but manage to defeat them. 5y
Matticemaggie I think a reoccurring motif in this book would be a constant mentioning of the labyrinth as the place is constantly changing. The importance of this motif is it is a representation that things are constantly changing. More often than not you can not plan for certain things to happen because most things are unexpected. With the labyrinth constantly changing, Percy Jackson and his group can not plan a way to get tot the forge or an emergency escape. 5y

The 4th book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy Jackson is a half-blood; part mortal, part God. In this book he enters the mysterious and dangerous Labyrinth, where he must race to find an important person, who can help save the Half-blood camp and the Gods of Olympia.

The Percy Jackson series continues to be really fun. Riordan has an amazing imagination and I love the new mythology explorations in each book. I'm learning new things & gaining an increased interest in reading the old mythology tales. This book reads a little older than previous works in the series, owing in part to Percy's age. I've become very invested in the characters & I have a feeling I am going to be very sad when I'm done with the series.

Adventure

May 10, 2019 - June 5, 2019.

I chose this book to cont. the series.

Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Rachel, and Tyson went on a mission to stop Luke and his army from communizing the Camp Half-Blood. Therefore, they must go through Daedalus' labyrinth, a maze, stop Luke from reaching Ariadne's string, the power to find ways into mazes. Daedalus ended up destroying the labyrinth in order to prevent Luke and his army getting to the camp.
