I worked on organizing some books today. I‘m just missing 6 of this series. And we plan to watch the tv show starting tomorrow night

Repeating part of my review I wrote when I read this the first time: A light read about Botswana‘s only lady detective, Precious Ramotswe, who is just a million ways delightful and clever. I want to be her friend and hire her to handle all my investigations.

Starting this audiobook tonight. I‘ve read it before and fell in love with Precious. I‘m hoping to read more of the series this month so I‘m rereading book 1. #Botswana #foodandlit #serieslove24 #hauntedshelf #hexesandcrows @Catsandbooks @TheSpineView @Andrew65 @PuddleJumper
GIVEAWAY! I ❤️ this book! And I have an extra copy. Perfect timing to read it this month for #Botswana #foodandlit. If more than one person responds, I‘ll do a drawing. Respond by end of day Tuesday October 1. I‘ll do the drawing on Wednesday and try to get it in the mail no later than Thursday so you‘ll have time to read it this month. So, sadly, USA only.

This was an awesome challenge this year. I enjoyed finding the books, finding hidden gems (like the books for Comoros and Sao Tome & Principe!), and learning about real heroes (like the authors of the books I read for Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Liberia!). Thank you @Librarybelle and @BarbaraBB for such an excellent challenge this year.
I‘m so late with posting my favorite May book but here it is! I had some very good books in May but this one just soared above them. #readingbracket
The #readingafrica2022 challenge is keeping me busy, and I‘m loving it! I‘ve discovered some really amazing books, especially the tagged book. So here‘s where I stand for books read. I‘m currently listening to When the Ground is Hard for #Swaziland. I‘ll start Dark Inheritance for #EquatorialGuinea and A Fish Caught in Time for #Comoros tomorrow. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB
Oh my goodness, this one is really going to challenge my top book of the year. A light read about #Botswana‘s only lady detective, Precious Ramotswe, who is just a million ways delightful and clever. I want to be her friend and hire her to handle all my investigations. Well I am hooked and ready to buy up the series. This is why I do reading challenges. Sometimes you end up loving a book, series, and author you‘d never have read otherwise. 5+ ⭐️
Book coincidence! I just posted a review today about a book in which a detective thought about sex about 98% of the time, which I found thoroughly frustrating given the serious murder he‘d been handed to solve. So our lady detective in this book starts to ponder the same question I asked in my review! “How terrible to be a man, and to have sex on one‘s mind all the time, as men are supposed to do.“ #Botswana #readingafrica2022

1) tagged, 5 stars
2) it will be between this one and The Penguin Lessons
3) surgeons who can fix problems that would have been too painful to bear, and although I‘m still in excruciating pain, I know it will heal and I‘ll have two working arms again
@Eggs
Want to play @Catsandbooks @KristiAhlers @Bookwormjillk @TheBookHippie ?
My right hand is no longer numb and I can hold my book! Yay! Between naps, I‘m wanting to do stuff but my arms are non-functional (besides surgery on the right arm I had a deep injection in the left for the same problem and it‘s almost as non-functional & painful as a result). So I‘m getting lots more reading than normal. I‘ve also been dictating emails to clients, so life is resuming somewhat.
Update: I have a massive wrap on my arm and it‘s there for a week! The surgeon removed a torn tendon from my elbow. Serious pain before and after! Thanks to painkillers.
My hand is still numb so it‘s hard to hold a book, which is what I really want to do right now. I‘m loving the tagged book when I can hold it
Here I am back for more surgery today (elbow). I picked the perfect book while I wait. I read the first chapter and it‘s terrific! #Botswana #readingafrica2022 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

I listened to the audiobook while working during the day and read the paper book in the evenings. Had the narrator‘s voice in my head. Weird experience, but still enjoyed the book! Love the series narrator so I think going forward I‘ll stick to #audiolistening.
