Dragons, elves, dwarves and one hell of an advance.
After not being too sure about this series I'm glad I gave it ago. I really enjoyed it.

I heard much about this book and I have to say I really liked it! Lots of fantasy but without the endless discriptions.
Going on to the second book now:)
This was a relisten for me. I think the last time I read this was in college. It‘s still an interesting book but this time I noticed how juvenile parts of this book was compared to other parts. It‘s good for a distraction. I‘ll have to read the rest of the series again to see if the writing gets more consistent.
I really expected to enjoy this book, but it just didn‘t work for me. On multiple levels. My biggest issue was with the writing. I could have overlooked some of the trite prose if there was something unique to the story, but it was typical, traditional fantasy with all of the expected tropes. And, I didn‘t like Eragon the character. He lacked depth...and a personality.

1. Spending time with my niece making memories at our local museums and seeing cool movie props from space movies!
2.Unfortunately my dumb brain won‘t let me reread. Even my most favorite books become dull if I try!
3.Jurassic Park Raptors
4.Eragon, I loved it so much. But the movie is an atrocity!
@Booksnchill @Lynnsoprano @jb72 @rather_be_reading and anyone who wants to do it, considered yourself tagged.
Reading the little one to sleep is a good way to end the night.
Another kid I tutor is finding it harder to be interested in the creative writing process so I‘m going to set him time to read Eragon in the hope of engaging or encouraging more enthusiasm.
Hello everyone and happy #tometopple #readathon
I participated in the previous round of this and I loved it! Currently it's round 8 and I hope there be many more.I need to read those tomes.
I picked up Eragon as it works for the "tome that has been on your TBR the longest" challenge.Hopefully I'll finish it soon and start some tomes I'm really looking forward to *cough* Crooked kingdom *cough*

Great debut novel. Yes a reread but it‘s been so long I didn‘t remember anything except the name of the dragon and maybe one other thing that I will not reveal here because spoilers. If you have not yet picked this up I highly recommend you do. It‘s a great read for readers young and old.
With 60 pages left I‘m determined to finish this tonight.

Brought a snack with me this time. Still working through my History of Magic exam....

Continuing with History of Magic. Have some other things to do today too so I‘m using chapters as a kind of reward system.

Time to begin my History if Magic exam.

Rereading this before I finish the series 🥰 I loved this book, so I‘m excited to move onto Eldest afterward! #eragon #christopherpaolini #YAfantasy
I love eragon. Definitely my favorite story. In some parts of this book, the reading gets some what boring, but i believe that it was a necessary part of the story. It is when Eragon was traveling with Brom and his training. Their relationship is the important part of this. I have no complain about this book. I just love it.
Well, now I want a pet dragon.
This book was reminiscent of Robin Hobb and George RR Martin. Really enjoyed this high fantasy tale.
#pop18 a book with one million GR ratings
Who better to re-read "Eragon" than Stitches! ??
Would use in class for IR. This is a phenomenal F read! It has friendship, magic, war everything I love in a book. It is one of the most adventurous story lines a "kids" version of "the lord if the rings". UDL Use multiple media for communication. F.*.IRhttp://www.teachhub.com/5-teaching-strategies-facilitate-independent-reading #Lae3414spring2019 would have bilingual copy for ELs.
Books are my friends, my companions. They make me laugh and cry and find meaning in life.
1. Bronte (any of the 3)
2. Jodi Picoult
3. Stephanie Myers
4. Laurlene McDaniels
5. James Paterson (the young adult books)
Day 2! We want to know who the worst villain is. This is not the best, nastiest villain (Umbridge....). This is the worst, most boring, most poorly written villain in any book you have read! Who just annoyed you????
Mine was Galbatorix. Like did he even actually make an appearance or was it just all in the name. I don‘t even remember because I completely checked out after book two. He was a boring plot device and that‘s it. #lovehate
A reread of a favorite book 🥰 Eragon has been my favorite book for as long as I can remember. I‘m cracking this bad boy open for a good old fashioned paper read 🤤
Thanks for all the suggestions on my last post. We hit up the library today with a big list and gathered as many books as were available and put some on hold. 📚

I've been told for years to read this book. At first I made excuses not to. Then I stopped and asked myself, "Why not?" I needed a new adventure to go on and boy did I find it!
I finally own this big, beautiful book!
I cannot wait to read it. I am so excited. I've been wanting to read this series for years and just never got to it. But now it is time!
Man I love dragons!
🐲❤

My January TBR list. A good mix of #pop19, #booked19, #newyearwhodis and #readingwomen.
I'm watching the movie of this one right now, didn't even know there was one, and it makes me want to read the books so much more than I already wanted to.
Dragons are so cool lol 😁🐉
Apple crisp latte & a good book while I keep an eye on my grandpa. Not a bad way to spend my Wednesday afternoon ☕🍏📖
The best part about Black Friday- staying behind and having a completely quiet house to read in 😂😍🙌🏻 #babybumpsoflitsy
I forgot to share this last week! Finished my baby blanket 😍🙌🏻 my first big crochet project, I just love it. So soft. We have a local place in NC Greensboro called “Geeksboro” which is a coffee shop/wine and beer bar/ geeky, nerdy, amazing establishment. From old gaming systems, to every board game created, to book clubs, to comedy nights, to Harry Potter galas. They have everything here. Such a great place to go and read. It was great.
Re-reading this via audiobook to prepare for the newest novel! It‘s been too long (middle school?) and I just don‘t remember the story. I‘m loving it. But if he speaks in this terrible growl for the dragon every time I might have to switch narrators 😂
Every time I read this I‘m reminded how mad I was when they messed the movie up storyline wise.
Ohhhh I MISS being so enthralled with this series! I may start a bad addiction here 😂
My Saphira‘s Eye, handmade by a friend of mine, came in today!! I absolutely love it!!! The Inheritance Cycle is my favorite high fantasy series, so this was so special to me.
1. Eragon got me through middle school 2. Cake 3. Crochet and knitting 4. Edinburgh! #friyayintro
Woot. Found these in a charity shop when out food shopping, only one left to get. :)
Super excited to come home from my trip to find two new books waiting for me! Thanks so much @Endowarrior21 I can‘t wait to read them!
This was my first swap, and it was a lot of fun! I‘ll be mailing mine out today and will post again. Thanks for hosting @TheBookKeepers #JustABookSwap
Loved this book! Can‘t wait to read the second one.
