This man is completely mad! Summer, an all-American teenage girl, is abducted by a maniac who keeps calling her Lily. This story, told through three alternative voices, got me hooked right away. Although it does feel a bit rushed and predictable at the end, I think it's still worth reading!

Ok so I‘m about half way thru this one and let me tell you... it does not disappoint!!!

It grabs you by about page 4 and the action is non stop after that..
Real quick spoiler to get you interested.

A 16yr old girl gets kidnapped and locked in a Cellar with 3 other girls... the story gets deeper from there and I don‘t want to ruin it for you!

As of now I‘m giving this a 4⭐️/5 only because I‘m not finished and I need to know how this book ends!

Wow...This story had me on the edge the whole time. CLOVER a sick bastard who's dream was to have the perfect family. Lily, Poppy, Rose and Violet were it. The perfect pure girls he bad to save from this horrible word. He wanted them to understand what he was doing for them, to thank him for protecting them but they didnt. All they knew is that they had to fight for their life. Natasha Preston brings us yet another exciting thriller.

I‘m not crazy for a story that‘s expected. Plus I think she should‘ve been more tuned in to missing her family V.S. her boyfriend. Nicely written though. Just too “blah” for my personal taste. I mean come on- before I was 10 years I was reading the Harry Potter series and Stephen King novels. So please don‘t take offense Natasha Preston fans! Just count me out of being one of them now.

Enjoyed doesn‘t even begin to tip the iceberg of how INCREDIBLE this novel is. You DEEPLY FEEL THE INSECURITIES, FEAR AND TERROR as Summer succumbs to this “ perfect” lifestyle in a madman‘s house but she‘s not going through this experience alone… three other young women have been there before her and will be alongside her as they dwell in the cellar in the cellar no one can hear you scream!

“ How many people has he… you know?” I whispered. Murdered. Poppy looked away and I gritted my teeth. Violet wasn‘t the first; he‘d done this before. That was what I‘d heard the other night. I whispered curling into a ball on the sofa. Rose lowered her head and replied “ Eight since I‘ve been here, including Violet.”

How could she expect me to wear the clothes of a girl that has been murdered down here—the Lily before me

“ I‘m sorry, you can‘t go. None of us can. I‘ve been here the longest— almost three years now. My name is Rose,” she said and shrugged. “ It used to be Shannen. This is Poppy, was Rebecca, and over there is Violet, she was Jennifer before.”

I collapsed on the steps, grasping the wall to stop myself from falling down the stairs. The door slammed shut, sending a shiver down my spine. Now I was trapped. I let out a startled cry and jumped into the hard wall as three women stepped into view at the bottom of the stairs. One of them, a pretty brunette smiled warmly but sadly, held out her hand “ Come Lily!”

From the title alone. You would wonder what the book is about. Natasha Preston is now one of my favorite authors. Her style of writing literally suck you into the story and you become the main character. You go to sleep with the flowers on your mind.

I love books that alternate narrators and time periods, every page turned was a surprise!

There were a lot of great moments in this book and I was on the edge of my seat wondering if Summer would ever escape and if her kidnapper would be discovered.

The reason this isn't a 4 or 5 star read is because I felt the end was rushed and didn't have the same attention to writing as the rest of the story.
