My second full book finished for #Scarathlon and the fourth for #RIP. Though it was good, it wasn't good enough for me to continue the series. Total points = 90 for 7 hours of listening time plus 20 for being a spooky/autumn-themed book. #TeamWhoYaGonnaCall

I've been going back and forth on my thoughts and what I'd rate The Whispering Dead. I'm going to say middle of the road read. I thought it was going to be kind of scary but it wasn't. It does involve ghosts in the graveyard and a MC that has amnesia. I wish a couple of things brought up were explained more in the book. It almost felt like the first 1/4 was a different book then the rest of it. Of course now I'll have to continue the series

This was great. A quick and somewhat creepy read but I was left with a lot of questions. Like a LOT of questions. Looks like I have another series to continue #ReaderProblems

Finished my book... now for the long process of choosing what to read next 🤔

Last day for the pool, so a few chapters for me while the girls swim

Not as scary as her other books but a good mystery tale and strong first book in the series . 4 star Read for me :)

Fun little ghost story to get me through having COVID. A little spooky, fun characters, and apparently it‘s a series.

Keira is being hunted. Somehow she escapes & finds refuge in a cottage surrounded by a graveyard. A graveyard filled with ghosts.Ghosts who need her help.
I'm confused by the lack of cohesion, after the 1st day Keira being HUNTED is ignored & the rest of the book is spent solving a murder. This is the start of a new series & there will prob be answers to the big questions in the future but it why would something so important would be abandoned?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a fun read - ghosts, mysteries, and a quirky town. A bit more cozy than horror, but I‘m okay with that. This is an author I‘d be happy to read again! I loved ending this round of #LMPBC with #GroupW and this selection!

Getting into my final book of this round‘s #LMPBC! I‘ve enjoyed #GroupW‘s selections and was quickly sucked into this one! Thanks, @MaleficentBookDragon @BookwormAHN & @Reggie

This was a quick read about a girl with no memory but who can talk to ghosts. It actually reads a little more like a cozy than horror, interested in seeing where this series goes.

An easy paranormal thriller read. I like Darcy Coates as an author. Her books are always interesting enough to keep me reading & quick enough to get me out of a slump. I always think Coates does a good job of interjecting humor & snark into her characters that is easily relatable & adds to their likeability. Zoe was my favorite character. Her in your face personality was more engaging than Keira. Plus, any book with a black cat is a winner.

If no one has read it, would you all be interested in switching to this book I got at BAM today for #LMPBC? Hades thinks it is a good idea.
If not, we‘ll stick with The Ghost Writer, no biggie.

(I‘ll still pass along The Ghost Writer if we go with this book.)
