This was such a fun cozy mystery! Josie is a librarian running away from a dangerous situation. She lands in a rural town in Oregon with its own share of troubles. And then she begins to have a magical connection with books. Little does she know, there‘s a reason why she has this magical connection...

I enjoyed the magical realism interlaced in this book, and I will definitely continue the series.

And for the best part of the day…4 books that I can not wait to read. Thank you so much @tdrosebud this box was perfectly me and I appreciate you putting it together for my.

Woke up feeling spooky this morning. And also missing my kiddo. So #cozymystery time & coffee in my favorite mug from her. Hopefully I can enjoy a day full of this right here.

Absolutely loved this fun page turner! Immediately hooked on Josie Way, who runs after overhearing a criminal plot. She accepts a job in the tiny town, Wilfred, Oregon, until she‘s safe. Little does she know that her temporary situation goes both ways; the library trustees plan on selling and then demolishing the old library in favor of a new retreat center, especially after Josie finds a body behind the old house.
BTW, the books speak to Josie.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I spent almost 30% of the book not being able to really get into it, but it ended so satisfyingly that I really want to read the sequel. It‘s always exciting to find a new cozy series, so I think I‘ll read the second book and then decide what I think of this author.

This was a cute cozy mystery. Josie overhears a corrupt deal taking place at the LOC and flees to a tiny town in Oregon as the librarian. She quickly becomes involved in murder and town politics. Absolutely a cute and cozy book to read for autumn, but like half the plot is in the second to last chapter and as a librarian, Josie‘s witchy power of knowing the perfect book for everyone was hella cringe, like I get it, but oof. Will I continue the series? Probably.

Bait and Witch is a really cute cozy about a librarian on the run who discovers a dead body and that she has witchy powers. It was a free listen on Hoopla, and I will definitely continue the series.

I always think of August as pre-fall season! 😁 I always spend the month planning all my fall reads and amassing a ton of snacks and goodies! I'll post a more complete picture on the first of September, but here are two cozy-spooky books I'm going to dive into this fall! 🍂🍁🎃 👻I love this time of year so much! 😍 Pictured snacks are candy corn, pumpkin spice caramels, and vampire kisses! (Hershey kisses filled with strawberry creme!)

5/5 for the first in this cozy series! I love a good witchy cozy add in a library and I am hooked! I loved everything about this. I cannot wait to read the next book. I definitely recommend this one.
