⭐️⭐️.5 Another day another Freida. I found Ward D to be pretty silly. Did it stop me from enjoying it? Not really. But this is one I will def find forgettable. I think it‘s Freida #4??? 🤔
It was pretty good. This one was very predictable

This was a good, suspenseful Freida McFadden thriller with its twists and turns! Amy is a medical student who will be in a psychiatric ward for one night. What happens will thrill and shock you! This audiobook was a great listen & it went by quickly! I hope you enjoy it!
So far, just OK. Not much character development, so she expects me to be interested in a person named Jade, though the only details of jade are that her parents are messy/negligent and she smokes weed behind school. Describes like 90% of the population lol. Give me some deets to either root for, or hate the girl before you start prattling on about her
When you are a true reader and usually read on average 6 books a month then you start a wonderful relationship with a man you had only thought existed in said books you read sure puts a hurting on your reading. Freida will help me bump this number a little quicker. #13of2024
4/11/2024 completed less than a week! Lol if I had more time to read would have finished sooner!!! ❤️her books!! Keep them coming!
Oh Freida. You are a masterful twister of plots, but you don‘t have to twist EVERYTHING. Somethings should just be left as is. This book started out with some eye rolls. Then things were explained. Then she wrecked them anyways. Not my fave Frieda book. But, I enjoy few things more than a creepy psych ward!
Freida had me up until 3am finishing this book in a day. Such a stressful read and makes me know I could never work in a psych unit!
Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward. Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital‘s inpatient mental health unit. She never wanted to do this required overnight rotation, and no one can find out. As the hours tick by, Amy is convinced something terrible is happening. Patients and staff start to vanish without a trace, and it becomes clear that everyone on the unit is in grave danger.

Wow! I couldn't put this down! I read it in 2 days and immediately ordered McFadden's backlist 😂😁
A true popcorn thriller. At about the 75% mark I did figure out what was going on and had even suspected it earlier in the book but there were enough surprises going on that it kept the excitement going. Can't wait to read more by Freida.
Flying through this book as fast as I flew through this puzzle. I don't care what people say about Freida. Her books (and characters lol) may be basic, but her fast-paced stories have a way of reeling me in. I can't seem to put any of her books down once I start.
This one is a psych ward thriller 🤹♀️
I love this author but this one just didn‘t work. I‘m a therapist and I found the lack of information and lack of empathy for people who deal with mental illness to be appalling, insensitive, misinformed and just wrong. Besides that the plot was just too implausible for me to even keep interested.

This was the most chilling McFadden book I've read to date. I was at the edge of my seat the entire read. This is a MUST for all McFadden fans!

Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward. Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital‘s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation. Reasons nobody can ever find out.
🎧 This was a fun creepy FICTIONAL book. I LOVED IT. I read it in a day. I didn‘t like the MC! I still loved the story. The twists were great. I didn‘t see some coming. Fun! Compelling! Engagingly spooky. At least one of the reveals was DOH worthy! It was the book I needed when I listened to it. TW - mental health a bit misrepresented.

Don‘t let my opinion sway you… if this is your first Freida McFadden book please be sure to read another one. This is not my favorite of hers, I am truly surprised! I would give it 3 stars. It was repetitive and for the most part unbelievable and far fetched. It was slow starting out and then the ending felt rushed. Amy, a medical student has a night shift on a locked psychiatric unit. What could possibly go wrong?! Can anyone be trusted?!

Repetitiveness 😫
I have lost count of how many “peach iced teas” this character has had!! 😳🙄
Stating this one tonight! Creepy already!! 🖤
