3. Yes! I usually try to wait until Sept 1st for the indoor decor. The outdoor decorations don't go out until October 1st because of my HOA.
4. The Scary stories to tell in the dark series
5. My Nightmare before Christmas Scentsy warmers.
6. I don't have any yet but I keep looking at horror themed bookmarks on Etsy. There is just so many I can't decide.

We read this one last night by the bonfire with some friends and their kiddos. It was so much fun to watch all the kids get spooked just a little by these stories.

I liked this more than the initial installment now that my expectations are more realistic and not based on how much I loved these books as a kid. It also helped that I listened to the audiobook version for a number of the stories, as the narrator gives quite a wonderfully over-the-top performance!
26 points total for theme/1 hr.

#105 of my year. First time reading this one lol the first one is and will forever be a classic and my absolute favorite. Listening to Another Me (with Dylan Matthews) Acoustic Seven Lions, Excision, Wooli
Here‘s a closeup of some of the kindle books I have that I‘m hoping are truly scary (goes with my last post). Are any of these must read for horror fans?
This was just fun to listen to. The narrator gives his all and makes these scary stories so entertaining. I loved these as a kid and enjoyed it now!
This is a collection of 3 Scary Stories books, one of which ticks off another #ReadYourSign prompt!

Despite the creepy stories and even creepier illustrations, my cat Petunia was not amused!
But I was!
My only complaint is that there were not more or longer stories! However the ones included were so fun!
If a man is buried in the wrong suit, is there an easier way to place him in the right suit than changing the whole suit? Can chairs move by themselves? Do baseball players play baseball after they die? And more!
This book is filled with thrilling story‘s to many story‘s to count it is an amazing book. I recommend reading scary story‘s to tell in the dark!

Someone thought my sitting on the floor to take a pic meant time for pets.
Another cute collection of shorts, honestly I probably wouldn‘t have found them scary even when I was younger. But enjoyable anyway #TeamStoker @TheReadingMermaid

My library had this #scary display. I'm in love with the skeleton hands reading the book 😍 I've got to duplicate it at my house. #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter @Clwojick
I remember reading some of the stories in this book and they all are very fantastic as well.
Book 4 and 5 finished up for #screamathon 👻 @4thhouseontheleft
I read these when I was in the 3rd grade and I've loved them since then. I decided it was time for a re-read. They are so much fun to read aloud with kids, and even adults. The illustrations are still some of the creepiest things I've ever seen.
Excellent Halloween fun!
I felt like this sequel wasn't as good as the original but it was still a good read.

This was a fun read. It brought back so many memories. It counts for "Part of a series" for both #bookish and #ScaryScavengerHunt for #Scarathlon

Blast from the past. I picked these up this weekend and I can't wait to read them. I was in elementary school that last time I read these.

Just as good as I remember!! My favorites were "Somebody Fell From Aloft", "The Man in the Middle" which always scared the bejesus out of me, and "The Church" for a little giggle. I blame these books for turning me into a horror addict and totally plan on looking up the resources in the bibliography now. ?☠
Gah! Scared myself in the waiting room when I turned the page. 😭
Looking for some good horror books for the summer! Preferably adult (middle school teacher here; need a break from kid books!) and not super long (like Stephen King) so I can read more than one on summer break. Any suggestions?
Ok, so i may have done a rather large Thriftbooks haul. I will most likely be getting books delivered everyday this week and these are the first three! 🙃
#1MoreScaryStory An even scarier story involved the schoolyard bully, drawing balls on all the cat-bats. 😹 South Park was just newly popular in '98. Sebastian once targeted me for a WWE wrestling punching bag, leading to my mother calling the police.. I can forgive the guy by now.. His attacks on me and others did get him expelled.
So these stories are actually a collections of folklore and legends from all over the place. It is possible that you have heard these stories told more than once from more than one source. Have you ever heard any of these stories outside of the Scary Stories series? If so which ones?

Completely cleared the reshelving cart (this almost never happens), even though it was a super busy day. So tonight I‘m ordering pizza for the kids, reading a book actually written for adults, and having a glass of the GOOD wine.
🕷🕷 Not nearly as good as the other one. Both the stories and the pictures were less frightening and less memorable. I feel like they used up their good stories in the first book. At least this book was less interactive.
(Jump at one of your friends and shout AAAAAAAHH)!

#Darkness A workplace co-manager once said, "I won't have any A-Hoo'in and A-Ha'in around here." ? What immediately came to mind was a Gammell dancing skeleton. ? #ReadingResolutions @Jess7

In honor of #GypsyKatsBirthdayWeek here is my #PublishedTheYearYouWereBorn for the wonderful year of 1984. More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. I loved these books growing up. My friends and I used to sit in my dads old Monte Carlo in the woods surrounded by potato fields and read these stories.

I remember being in the second grade and being incredibly captivated by the art in these books. I love seeing these books today but I'm kinda sad the art in the new ones isn't creepy.
Good night for a fire, s'mores and Scary Stories!
For #AllHallowsReads #scarychildrensbook I must go with one of my favorites as a child, now inflicted on my kids. Pictured here: my youngest goofball, who tells me this is still 'too scary' for him. 😱👻

This was my favorite childhood scary story! I would read it with my brothers and my mom would try to scare us n 👻#AllHallowsRead
