One of her more convoluted murders, it‘s set in a big country house in England with a shooting, an unfaithful man & too many suspects. Bk9 of July & Bk1 of #20in4 #readathon is done! Read as an audiobook on Scribd, it‘s a True Crime about the “body in the suitcase” murder of Bill McGuire by his wife Melanie, a nurse who‘d been having an affair with her married doctor boss for years. After drugging & shooting him, she carved up his body once the kids were at school, put him in 3 suitcases & dumped him off a bridge into Chesapeake bay. A good story but the narration wasn‘t great.👇

Bk8 of July is done. And what a beautiful book it was! Not only was the cover stunning, the cover under the dust jacket was gorgeous with butterflies & flowers, plus the story was just as enchanting. I totally fell in love with this book, it‘s world & its characters. I‘m a sucker for earth magic stories but this was special. Bk6 of July is done. From a local author, I loved the fact that even though it‘s set in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, I still knew exactly where they were from memory. It has some of the best parts of my city as backdrop which was fabulous. Written well, I started a bit hmm with the detective MC, then ooh I don‘t like him till about third way actively hoping he gets killed. Even so, the ending was still a huge wtf! Bk1 of June is done! Wow, I can‘t believe this has sat on my #MountTBRShelvesOfDoom for 3yrs. I loved it! You can just see Fleetwood Mac slowly imploding like this as they were making Rumours in the 70s. Daisy reminded me of a mashup of Stevie Nicks & Pamela Des Barres, the famous groupie from GTO. This reads more like a memoir than fiction honestly, I highly enjoyed it. And it‘s my #Bookspin book for June🙌 #BookspinBingo #MountTBR2021 👇
