#wondrouswednesday @Eggs 😊

- Authors I wanna read but haven't read anything by yet... SA Cosby, VE Schwab, Riley Sagar, Virginia Woolf, Percival Everitt, Laura Purcell, Mieko Kawakami, Ruth Ozeki, Trudy Canavan, Leigh Bardugo, Stefan Zweig, George Eliot

Books - anything on my #shelfofshame

- The Book Thief

- Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman

Susanita I bailed on the Book Thief after multiple attempts 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3w
RaeLovesToRead @Susanita There wasn't a single moment in that book that I wasn't aware I was reading a book. It all felt like writing. Felt really inauthentic from start to finish. 3w

#two4tuesday @TheSpineView 💕😊

1. Sort of. But it never works. I always end up just reading what I want to read in the end 😅

Spurs include: buddy reading, #bookspinbingo , #roll100 , meeting an author, planning a YouTube vid... but the mood reading inevitably takes over!

2. I need to find out what happens to Fitz and the Fool...

Also, I need to work on my #SHELFOFSHAME (see vid)

TheSpineView Good luck on those TBR. Thanks for playing 3w

A group of deck hands come together to hear and tell stories about Luke Skywalker.

I really enjoyed this, I liked the look at how stories can be exaggerated and manipulated for whatever reason. That they can be changed in the retellings.

I really enjoyed this and I don't usually like romance books. I think the academic setting made the difference.

It was well written and paced with interesting characters. Yes, it's a bit predictable and tropey but it worked.

Glad I finally got around to finishing this. I've stopped and started it multiple times. I think this was on my #shelfofshame

This had one of the most unlikable main characters I've ever read. She's arrogant, self centered, reckless which teenager I get but not when your entire community is on red alert because of a possible killer.

The plot and pacing weren't great, there was a lot of focus on the ex/new romance and not enough about the killer actively trying to murder them.

I laughed when I saw my #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin selections for this month! Both are books that I was supposed to read in prior months, and didn‘t.

Pat of Silver Bush was last month‘s choice for #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead and this month‘s choice, Mistress Pat, builds on that story.

julieclair The Murmur of Bees was my #ShelfofShame selection for this month. It was my final book of #LMPBC Round 14 (!), and I was supposed to have mailed it back to @sprainedbrain at the end of JUNE. 🙄 2y
julieclair I think the reading gods are sending me a message, lol. ⚡️📚⚡️ 2y

Thanks for the tag @EadieB !

1. So-So. I‘m behind on my GR challenge to read 200 books. I‘m only at 95, so I‘m 6 books behind. I‘m completely slacking on #ShelfofShame, doing good at #pop22 and doing okay at #NoShameReadathon and okay at #Booked2022

2. The #ShelfofShame is to read books I already own. Supposed to read 12, haven‘t read 1 😬. But I have been reading my own books not on that list.

#Two4Tuesday

TheSpineView At least you are working on already owned. Better than me for sure! Thanks for playing! 2y

The Crow Girl | Erik Axl Sund

Pickpick

Fashionably late (as is usually the case) to this party… this behemoth has been on my shelves for 6 years!

The Crow Girl was actually published as 3 separate books in Sweden, which helps explain the crazy ups and downs throughout. It‘s very dark (if you have any triggers, avoid it), disturbing, and brutal, though the worst is mercifully left to our imaginations. Twisty with two excellent female MCs (written by 2 men!). Good stuff!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lizpixie This one has been sitting on my #shelfofshame for about the same amount of years. I got about halfway before it overwhelmed me & I dnf‘d it for later. Apparently much later! 2y

Mehso-so

This series has run it's course for me. I didn't enjoy this one as much as others, the mystery was a bit dull and Daisy was very annoying ... More annoying than usual

One of my #shelfofshame books because I swear I've read the first 3 chapters multiple times and then stopped reading
