I don't know if I could read it now, but I sure did enjoy this 25+ years ago. (!) Best “chase me across the ice while I strip of my clothes“ scene ever. Possibly the only one, come to think of it. ;-)
bailedI could not find the humor in this book because the mother's behavior was so toxic. Read 71% and could not finish.

Her husband turns out to be controlling & jealous & when Hedy overhears the Third Reich's plans at a dinner party one night, she decides to flee.
pickThis is a novelty item that I purchased as part of a Die Hard-themed white elephant gift I put together for a family gathering! Of course I had to read it before wrapping it up in the wee small hours of Christmas morning. It‘s cheesy, light, and fun!

Best read in small doses, but very funny at times. I also enjoyed when he lets his persona slip and gives glimpses of himself as a fallible human being.
