2023 is the last year I‘m going to be paying for an Audible subscription. I have so many un-listened-to audiobooks already in my library, plus access to Hoopla and Libby libraries, I know I won‘t miss getting new books from Audible.
These stats are still always fun to see!
I was looking on my Audible app and I saw that I lost access to a lot of books that I added to my library from the Audible Plus catalog. The ones I‘ve lost access to have an expiration date or padlocks on them. When I click on the books I‘ve lost access to, it tells me that they‘re no longer included with my membership and it gives me the option to buy them. I can‘t buy them because I don‘t save my credits every month so I‘m going to delete them.
Never realised that #Audible has a listening log! Has anyone else found this? Or am I the last to know? 😂📚📖

Brackish Waters by Matt Boren - Performed by Christina Applegate - 4⭐
Christina Applegate turned this mediocre story into something quite entertaining. It was the perfect length to get me through the rest of my Christmas present wrapping.
pickIt's a bummer that the Add Book feature on here doesn't seem to work, either that or it doesn't let you add Audible Originals.

I figured out how to calculate the percentage from Audible audiobooks because Audible no longer shows the percentage read when I try to share my audiobook progress on social media. I looked up a time percentage calculator on Google. I calculated the amount of time I‘ve been listening to the audiobook and the amount of time in the audiobook and I get a percentage. After that, I update my reading progress on Goodreads and Storygraph.
How‘d I get up to 729 titles? Sales like this! (Note: I have listened to most of them! #audiophile)

Hey all you experts! I want to cancel my audible subscription because I can find pretty much everything at my awesome library but I have 2 credits left. I have wandering mind syndrome when it comes to audio so I don‘t listen very often. Are there any books on audio that add something over and above the print version? Some audiobooks I have enjoyed are The Anthropocene Reviewed, Milkman, and The Refugees by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Thank you!

I just had the strangest customer service experience with audible. I am past my self-service exchanges because I get a lot of audiobooks and some don‘t work out, so I called to return a book and the lady said, “so I‘m adding three credits...” me, “I don‘t want to buy any credits right now.”
The woman started cracking up and said, “no, I‘m giving them to you.”
Me 🤯 what?
So maybe someone else will hit the return jackpot!
I did it. I finally cut the Audible cord. I‘ve had a Libro.fm account now for over a year, and this past month I‘ve been using Libby through my library almost exclusively. The Libby app is so much better than it used to be! A little less money in Bezos‘ non-tax paying pocket is a good thing. 😉

It isn‘t often that I am super interested in the daily book deals/offers that Audible emails out, but sometimes I see ones that have been on my TBR for too long that I feel like I can‘t pass up! Today‘s deal was one of those!
My mom recommended this book to me a while back, and as soon as I can get my hands on a physical copy, I‘m diving in!

Audible is allowing the free streaming of certain books as long as schools are closed. It doesn't appear that you can download them using the app for free, so use this site. https://stories.audible.com/
Looks like audible is going to put SOME children‘s and teens book on for free for all the kids at home.
There ARE some literary classics on this site too!
