pickLast Rites was good but hard to read a times. It ends very close to when he died after the last concert. As usual I loved reading about his antics but a lot of the medical stuff was just painful and I didn't realize that he was in such bad shape in the end 🖤

When the days get colder, we end up at totally different restaurants than we would in the summer. There‘s an Irish Pub in downtown Bristol with a stone fireplace that we sometimes tuck into for curry fries & beer. The sky let us know we made the right choice tonight!

pickA detailed biography I enjoyed how it went through his career in chronological order with insights into his record deals,albums, his bands and his side projects.Having been a long time fan through most of his musical journey I loved the nostalgic throwbacks to his albums and music and movies and the little nuggets of insights along the way.A must read for any Prince fan or anyone with a curiosity about his music and or the music business. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed the artwork in this version of the classic fairy tale. I went back & read the Grimm‘s version online to see the gentling down in the modern versions (like princes being banished rather than beheaded for not discovering the mystery). A quick & nostalgic read. 💛

TRANSA was a compilation album from last year highlighting the work of trans and non-binary artists. My second favorite song on it is a cover of "I Would Die 4 U" with Lauren Auder and Wendy & Lisa, which led me to a deep dive of W&L.
Members of Prince's band The Revolution, they have been recording since 1986 and also write for TV and film, including the Emmy-winning theme of Nurse Jackie.
