September #BookSpin! I‘ve added lots of titles for #SeriesSeptember (is that still a thing?) to get myself back into making progress for #SeriesLove2023. And I‘m keeping my #192025 decade options that I added last month. Hoping to continue my pattern of reading my spins every month, and of course maybe a bingo if the BookSpin fates are kind.

Here are my upcoming plans for the year. I love having a monthly focus, and I find it helps with my reading productivity. By setting aside a week or a month to focus on middle grade, or ARCs, or chunky books i tend to do better with hitting goals, and avoiding slumps.

Isn‘t this a great orange cover? Amazing and so fiery! This is the 2nd in the Books of Bayern series by Shannon Hale and was terribly hard to find. I ended up buying the whole set. This series is so hard to read it's heartbreaking! Tucker is a really great character, I just love her!

Book 2 in the intervention series continues the story of drug-addicted youth. This is another book with great characters. Highly recommended for teens.

What are your reading plans this month?

This one draggggged for me. After some major events in the last volume, this felt like a lot of filler. I'm still waiting for the last book's events to actually have an impact on the plot. And then, cliffhangers. Darn you, Robert Jordan! One more volume down, four more to go. #sequelseptember #seriesseptember

Pictured: my reading spot for the afternoon. I enjoyed a lovely, breezy, sunny afternoon finishing up this volume. Vol. 10 remains my favorite, but this one is solid as well! It wraps up the main storyline Fables has been following for many volumes, and does it well. A good place for me to pause and pick up some non-comic reading for a bit! #sequelseptember #seriesseptember
