Good middle grade about a boy that has to give up his pet fox because he has to move. So good and what I needed in between the heavier books!

I think this will be a 3.5 ⭐️ for me. I kept with it because I wanted to see how the characters ended given that the story set it up that they knew when they were to die. I just didn‘t like the ending all that much.

Brilliant! This is a difficult subject but he did it so well! I will be thinking about this for days if not years!

I gave this a good 100 pages but I couldn‘t finish it. It wasn‘t cohesive for me to continue. I am probably in the minority‘s here 😟

I have had this on my radar for quite some time. I was enthralled with it. Set in NYC, with different decades jumping around, it was a well rounded novel with great characters. It delves into the HIV/AIDS epidemic the city went thru & gives a history which I appreciated as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just finished, thinking wth did I just read! Goodness what a turn it takes in the middle to fantastical world where it wraps up way to quickly with so many holes! Yea this was ok for me...wish there was more guidance on how to interrupt this 🤔

This was an enchanting stroll! Recently there have been some heavy life situations I needed to get my mind off & this book did it! Lillian takes a walk down memory lane literally, she's so witty I loved every piece off her! You felt like you were in Manhattan with her! So good!

I wanted to get into this & I've been trying to get into Westerns but it's just didn't happen with this one! On the plus side, the hubby picked it up and he never reads! Haha

Not for me...the back & forth time line was too much confusion although I think that was the authors idea of losing memory, she wrote beautifully just fell short of real plot 😖

I'm gonna say a solid read, I really cared for Ada after her father becomes ill but the big reveal left me lackluster so I'm give this a 3.75 🌟it might of done with some editing too since this is over 400 pages! Worth the read I think!

I had to take back the book to the Library but I gave it 3.5 stars. Before the half mark, I was losing interest but it took a turn for the better. I enjoyed the unfolding of the story just no really memorable. Other then Fix, he was a doll!

Waited patiently 3 mths for my library hold to be available & started it the day Mr. Whitehead got his honor of winning the National Book Award! Hands down a modern classic with a great heroine Cora-oh Cora! Beautifully heartbreaking journey of a runaway slave escaping on an "actual" Underground Railroad & being chased by a slave catcher, the suspense was unreal & gut wrenching! 4 ?

Finished this in two sittings..this was beautiful! Was immersed in the lives of Aubrey, Nadia and Luke. The writing was just mind blowing from a debut author. I'm one in the LOVE this book gang!

This is me...hugging this book! Guys I just ADORED this book! It's a simple plot, not much drama but the writing & the characters! Count Rostov will go down as one of my fav literary character's-he made his confined situation, that could of been a slow suicide, into something wonderful, doable, hopeful!
