My bridger-binge re-read continues! I think I read this in about four hours straight without moving. 😂
There were two things which really bothered me once I noticed them, I‘ll put them in comments.

The fourth in Julia Quinn‘s bestselling BRIDGERTON SERIES is an entertaining Georgian romance where most of my interest came in seeing where the story and characters differ from the Netflix series. It utilises the trope of friends to lovers and although some of the writing isn‘t technically great (everyone feels the need to use each other‘s name all the time), there‘s some sharp dialogue and fun lines such that I‘d read the rest of the series.

When you need to ride but can‘t wait! #bridgerton #pelotonlife
The angst and the revealed identity of Lady Whistledown - chef's kiss!
Also how in the end the attempt at blackmailing was dealt - it couldn't have been done better.
Also can I just say it: The books are so much better than the Netflix series!
I had to try a few times too. That was fun! This one looks the most like me when I had longer hair. 🥰
Bit obsessed with the Bridgerton generator.
I tried to Bridgertonify Pickles, but it wouldn't let me 🤣🤣
I decided to make a Bridgerton AI picture. The first picture is the AI version of my picture and the second picture is the picture I used of myself. I like how I look in the AI picture. It looks like I lost my glasses, lost my purple highlights, lost weight and had my hair and makeup fixed. It‘s interesting because I‘ve never been skinny. I wonder if I would look like the AI picture if I lost weight.

Oh, this is fun! I love my Bridgerton alter ego. Thank you @CrowCAH for sharing.
I'm holding out on watching season 3 until all the episodes are out. I can't handle a cliffhanger.
This was fun… not what I expected but fun!! Glad I am still a bookworm in regency England!

Wow, not what I expected! 😂

This is such fun! I‘m so glad I jumped on the bandwagon 😁

I must confess I‘m not too familiar with the book, but after seeing the Bridgerton portrait link so kindly provided by @CrowCAH I decided to join in the fun! 😁 If only my hair was really that lustrous! 😂💇🏻♂️
I couldn‘t resist when I saw @CrowCAH post about AI generating a Bridgerton portrait of yourself. This one looks the most like me, but keep in mind I‘m in my early 20s 😭 looking forward to the second part of season 3!
I had to try the AI portrait generator, @CrowCAH. So much fun.
The top one is closer to my actual face, the bottom one represents my style more. Thanks to this I know which haircut to get. 😁😁
I‘m behind in watching Bridgerton (still need to watch season 2 before 3), but I couldn‘t resist putting my face in their AI generated portraits. I felt like of them all, this one most closely resembles me.

I absolutely love these books. I‘ve never really been a big fan of romance but these books changed my mind. I guess it‘s because of watching the series on Netflix. I can‘t say a whole lot about the book because I don‘t want to spoil it for others. I just want to say I‘m so proud of Colin Bridgerton. #SeriesLove2024 @TheSpineView @Andrew65
I only finished two books in May, so my top book is Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. Fingers crossed that I do better in June.
The inspiration for season three of BRIDGERTON, a series created by Shondaland for Netflix, from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn: the story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington in the fourth of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family.
Someone remind me to stop reading romance novels! They‘re clearly not my genre. Every so often they put me in the best mood ever, so I seem to keep trying, but most of the time have the opposite effect these days! I got all excited after watching the new Brigerton season and decided to reread this. This was better than some I‘ve tried recently, there were laugh out loud funny scenes, and Colin was surprisingly open minded for a man of his era,⬇️
Has everyone that's planning on watching Bridgerton Season 3 caught Part 1? Or are you waiting for it all to drop? https://youtu.be/qv5XFZ0KYDE
In honor of Bridgerton Season 3 which I hope to start watching tomorrow, I couldn‘t resist this “borrowed” from TikTok (from KellyRo_Reads).
I‘m Lady Ann Gatoradeton of Kahalamktbyfoodlandshire 🤷🏻♀️👑 It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance! 🧐
Finally finished it and I think I liked the book more than the first part of Bridgerton Season 3.
I enjoyed how the revelation of Lady Whistledown was handled, how Colin falls for Penelope, and I enjoyed Penelope's and Eloise's friendship. 4 ⭐️
Who else binge watched the 1st part of season 3 today? I read this book some time ago because I immediately loved Penelope. They have made some changes from the book, don't they always, but it is still delicious. (Bonus points to whoever can identify the movie my teapot is from. Also based on a book though not a romance.)
Yaaass!!!
Check out my book recommendation on Book Interrupted‘s Manuscript Monday. I‘m ready for May 16th and the new season are you?! I included links to trailers as well. https://www.bookinterrupted.com/post/manuscript-monday-romancing-mister-bridgert...
My favorite in the series so far, friends to lovers trope. Now I'm ready for the next season on screen.
So good! I‘m so ready for season 3 of Bridgerton on May 16! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #Bookspin
This is my favorite of the Bridgerton series so far!
From the previous 3, I liked Colin the best, so I couldn't wait to get to his story.
I really liked Penelope! I love how Lady Danbury brought out her confidence!
I am ready for May 16th! This book is going to be clearly different than the series with one of the only similarities being Penelope is Lady Whistledown. But I still can‘t wait for the series! As for the book, it was exactly what I expected. It‘s written like the other two I read. It‘s enjoyable and steamy. I also liked how Penelope came out of her shell in the book and her friendship with Lady Danbury, hopefully that happens in the series too.
Happy Polin season https://youtu.be/8RJAUWt5N5g

My April #BookspinBingo list! I don‘t reread much, but planning to read the tagged book again in anticipation of Bridgerton season 3 😍 @TheAromaofBooks
Netflix virtual screening sneak peek of season 3, episode 1!
Trying my hand at annotating this year! ✍️
I very much enjoy the aesthetic appeal, but find the stopping to highlight and tab a bit disruptive to my reading. 🙃
The results of my #audiocrochet project from yesterday 😁 My first attempt at amigurumi! Not too shabby if I do say so myself! I think I'll fix his mouth though... according to my son, it looks like a mustache and I can't say I disagree with him 🤣

I started something small this morning! 💛
If I work quickly it may be a Christmas gift 🙃
The newest Apple+ adaption of Edith Wharton's Buccaneers, while anticipated by me, also has me pondering the uptick in recent classics adapted in similar tones to Bridgerton, like Netflix's 2022 Persuasion, to varying degrees of success. While the sample size is small, it has me thinking about why we're gravitating to the classics to satisfy the demand of Bridgerton instead of adapting more romance novels. https://youtu.be/JAnoZDloO18
