I love when a book focuses on another dimension of a super hero. Peter Parker is a photojournalist, Batman is a master detective, but these aspects are usually overshadowed if not completely ignored, over the brawling and vigilantism. Here we get equal measures of Jennifer Walters as trial lawyer and She-Hulk. It‘s very satisfying to read her adventures that are organic outgrowths of her legal cases.
pickAnother She-Hulk graphic novel I enjoyed! I didn't like it as much as the '90s graphic novel collection. However, She-Hulk is still such an enjoyable, humorous, and intelligent character. I loved that this book delved into both her job as a lawyer and her being a superhero. The other comics I had read focused on one or the other. However, this one shows that multiple sides can be shown to Jennifer without losing the essence of the story.
pickActually, She-Hulk: The Complete Collection—the Complete 12 Issue run written by Soule. Another Chicago Comics recommendation & one I really enjoyed. Jennifer Walters is an attorney by day & the She-Hulk when the situation requires it. Just straight up fun. Also love the Kevin Wada covers & the various variant covers including those by Kris Anka & Skottie Young. Publication is set for 12/31/18 (says Amazon) but your comic shop may have it too.
I wasn't sure when I saw I got Hulk, but I mean yeah that's pretty accurate 😂

so-so⭐️⭐️⭐️ I liked this fine, but didn't love it. I liked the earlier storyline better than the last - and I really didn't love the art in any of it. She-Hulk's face in particular - I found it distracting! I kept wanting to order her to take a nap to help with her intense dark circles. Petty, but it really did distract me. Not sure why # 1-4 were a complete story & then # 5-6 leave us in the lurch - why not just a 4 issue Trade? Meh.

pickThis was cool!! I wasn't sure what to expect from this volume, but I liked it. Jennifer Walters starts her own law agency and shit gets wild. The art design in 1-4 looks really similar to some of the art in Fraction's Hawkeye comics vol 2+3 when the stories featured Madame Masque. I liked this 🎉

pickI loved Angie! She was my favorite character of them all. I enjoyed this comic book. I don't see myself becoming an avid reader in this genre, it made for a fun evening. I'll proudly display it next to my Hulk gloves, daring anyone to make me angry.
I don't normally read comics or follow The Avengers, but since being nicknamed Dr. Banner at work, this whole persona is growing on me. That She-Hulk's name is Jennifer is so very appropriate. Thanks for the heads up on this, @BookishFeminist !
So I am pretty well known for being mild mannered at work. Recently, as a project has kicked off with not one, but two vendors, people have learned that there's a volcano underneath all of that. They've started calling me Dr. Banner and I've embraced it. This morning, my own pair of Hulk hands were sitting on my desk. I'm kind of loving the real me. Also, I need to pick up this book and find out what happens to me. 🤗

I love her character as hero & lawyer. Unlike many superheroes, esp female ones, her career & life are on display & she rocks both. Her superhero abilities don't only rely on her strength & skill, but also her intelligence, down to business attitude & perseverance. Also she's GREEN ALL THE TIME. How could I not love that?! ⚖💼👠💪🏼🏋🏽
pickJennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, is a kick-ass heroine who usually solves problems without throwing punches. She's smart, loyal, and pretty chill for a Hulk. My husband has been urging me to read this for months and I'm happy he wore me down/I finally listened. 👗💼💪🍏 (I'd 💖 green emoji people!)
