This post has next-to-nothing to do with books but...I found this scythe while antiquing today & couldn‘t resist channeling my inner #Buffy. Where‘s my #ScoobyGang at?

Just discovered these #buffythevampireslayer pin-ups by Emma Munger & I‘m *dying.* I‘ve always been an Angel girl, but the Giles poses are THE BEST! I think I might need the “Research Beckons” print. I bet I‘m not the only one...

1. Buffy. Duh. ⚰️
2. Christmas with fam, meet-ups with old friends (high school & college), IRL book club, seeing some live music (on NYE), trying to finish up 4 books. 😱
3. More a format than a genre but: audiobooks, please! 🙏🏻
4. Sleeping. Any time before 7am is ungodly.
5. A friend of ours makes jewelry (thistlethistle on Instagram). My husband‘s getting me one of these moonstone & mugwort beauties. 🖤

Just had a personalized troubleshooting session with a few kind souls from LibraryThing to assess why my app still isn‘t working. They used words like “internap”, “inside our cage”, & “deep six” when discussing possibilities.

I‘m pretty sure it‘s Moloch the Corrupter. That‘s the only logical explanation.

Cross your fingers for my imminent, happy return (so I can stop eating up my cellphone data)! 🤞🏻

I once wrote a Critical Theory paper about Buffy & Lacan, & I used a quote from Buffy as the basis for my application essay to grad school.

I love the quote, “critic Emily Nussbaum has lamented that Buffy doesn‘t look the way “worthy” television should look, which has made it difficult for her to convince friends & peers of its quality.” Isn‘t that the exact struggle of every woman? 🌸✊🏻⚰️

The window display in my reading room looks on-point today, in the moody light the rain is casting.

I just saw an ad for these ridiculously overpriced "giant pocket shirts" & my first thought was, "I could stash a book in there." I chose this design to share with you because it reminds me of Sunnydale High colors, obvi. #razorbackpride

A thought provoking book that takes a deeper look into the characters and nature of the Buffyverse. My favorite, so far, of the Popular Culture and Philosophy books. It leaves you with a strong desire to rewatch the series. Great for BtVS fans.
