I did my taxes, emissions test, and car registration. That‘s enough adulting for the last couple of days.
So it‘s time to take the nibling to Barnes and Noble to pick up some Magic Treehouse books. 💖

Harry potter is what got this book lover started. I was gifted the third book and made to promise I wouldn't read it until I had the first and second books. Of course I read it right away onder the covers with a flashlight. #sundayfunday
It‘s just so cute! I love these books with ever fibre of my being! I think I‘ll read a few more before bed. These books have a negative chance of nightmares for me!
Am I a 30 year old woman who is practically VIBRATING with excitement about rereading a handful of these delightful children‘s books? Yes I am. I accept no judgment. These books were driving forces in my childhood. 😍😍😍

Prompt: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
I finished reading this to Lane today while his sister napped. It was a big hit - he has already picked out which Magic Tree House books he wants to read next. 😍

It was a good book. I liked it. It was just very hard to read.
Read this to my six year old and learned why this series is so beloved. We both really enjoyed it. It was a nice gift from his Auntie. #kidlit #chapterbook #adventure #readaloud
Happy Jólabókaflod litsy friends!!!
We celebrate this holiday every year, and do our book exchange on Christmas Eve. I got bill clinton and James Patterson‘s book- a president is missing. I‘m excited to start it. And I got my husband and son a book to read together- tagged. They both struggle with reading so hearing them share this and bond over the story makes my heart happy. Especially since I so loved these books as a kid!
#ucflae3414f19 Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Tree House: #1 Dinosaurs Before Dark is apart of a New York Times Bestselling Series and an awesome F read! This book will take students on a prehistoric ride back to the days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and would be best used for IR. EL strategy 30 could help students make images of the dinosaurs that Jack and Annie encounter throughout the book...
“It spun faster and faster then everything was still. Absolutely still.“
my favorite part was the beginning of the story when they discover the magic powers of the tree house. It was so cool as a child and still is to see this kind of story line. He opened the book and had no idea what was going to happen it was a stay on the edge of your seat moment
I used to read these series of books when I was younger and always was so excited to open it up and see where the tree house would take them next. Dinosaurs before dark was always one of my favorites because I think every child loved reading about these mysterious creatures that seem made up but were real. I love that the different books in the treehouse are what causes them to go on the adventure
This would be a good book for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. This book is more complex for younger kids. This is a great chapter book and serious for older kids could start on it.
This is a modern fantasy book. This was one of my brother and my favorite books growing up. We always loved the idea of the book. It‘s such a good read for kids. The author made this book believable because he uses real events and real people inside the magic treehouse.
MTH Dinosaurs Before Dark morning is a F which could be used as an IR/GR/PR/LC. Before Annie and Jack can find out the mysterious treehouse takes them to the prehistoric past. Are they able to make it home before the dinosaurs eat them?
This SF book a part of the Magic Treehouse Series by Mary Pope Osbourne is about Jack and Annie traveling back to the time where dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Read about their encounters with Pterandons, a Tyrannosaurus Rex and even a pack of Anatosaurus! I think that this would be a good IR to allow children to jump into the story at their own pace. I would use UDL strategy 6.1 ( guide appropriate goal-setting) and ESOL strategy 29 ( offer a ....
This was a great introduction to chapter books for my 4 and 2 year olds...and it didn't hurt that it had dinosaurs in it! Simple plot line and easy sentences for them to follow with just a few fun pictures. We really enjoyed it and look forward to reading book 2 next week!
Started The a magic Treehouse books a couple of weeks ago with my 6 year old. This was a great start! We couldn‘t wait to find out what the M medallion means!! Book 26 of 2018
The 5 year olds listening said it was a definite “pick”.
My 6 year old liked it, and my 8 year old considered it a bit boring. #dinosaurs #children's book
These children's books were also recommended to us. #dinosaurs #children'sbooks
Road trip, made her read a chapter before she gets the iPad
Started reading this with my little guy. Trying to instill a love of reading into him at a young age. He reads a chapter then I read a chapter. He is really getting good and only needs help with a few words per page.
#lego and #literature tonight with my young charge. Brother-sister pair Annie and Jack have a dinosaur-filled 🦕🦖 adventure after finding a magic tree house filled with books. I love how Annie keeps reminding logic-driven Jack to “Don‘t think. Just do it!”
I‘m a special education preschool teacher at an inclusive preschool. My classroom is typical and special education students between 3 and 4. I started reading the first book & every child LOVED it! Even my student who understands English but speaks mostly French keeps asking for more! The fact that I can read a chapter book to these kids is one thing, but that the all love it is another! Now I just need to find an inexpensive way to get the rest!
My 6 year old says: it was good, but it was really really short. 10 chapters and each chapter was super short. I‘m done now because I read it in my head [while her mom made dinner] But yeah it was good, it was Jack and Annie‘s first adventure.
This modern fantasy short novel is apart of my favorite childhood book series! It is perfect for Elementary schoolers who are just starting to read chapter books! I would use this as independent reading to help them get introduced into chapter books! This is the first book in the series and is about Jack and Annie, two siblings, who travel back into the time of the dinosaurs!
I'm not sure how I feel about this Modern Fantasy. Sure the concept of the book is cute a tree house that magically takes you to the land of dinosaurs.....totally cool for a child. I just don't think this would be my first choice or recommendation. Perhaps you could use it as a fun way to introduce a unit on Dinosaurs lessonplanet.com/teachers/dinosaurs-before-dark-1st-5th #UCFWalterslit
Love this book and I love reliving my childhood with my children
Took a short audiobook break to listen to this one. 77 pages in 41 minutes. #24in48
One of the things I like most about working with little people is rereading the books that I once read with my daughter. This is her copy. She loved the Magic Tree House books.
This book is the first in the serious of the magic tree house, and it's a mixed genre. Some say it's HF, while others say it is F. This book talks about the discovery of the magic tree house, and leaves you wanting more at the end! Finally went to Parnassus Books today! Such a cute store! I picked up a few books for my nieces and nephew for Christmas.
So I got this when I first started to learn Spanish... I have yet to read lol #seasonsreadings2016 #notinenglish
Reading with my son tonight! Oh how I love reliving my childhood with him! He LOVES these!
