A cup of tea and a book. The perfect way to end a day. 🥰
I'm really enjoying this YA Sci-Fi book. It is the start of a trilogy, so I hope the others are as good as this one.

My favorite book is tagged from my May reads … although these are not all of the books I read in May but some I read 21 so
I have wanted to read this for sometime…. I finally did and I had the best journey through this book… felt sad, amazed, and finally happy at the ending. I have the next books in the series and can‘t wait to read them 😊📖
So@we started off the day at Buffalo Wild Wings (I was reading… ) then we went to the t-Rex exhibit at the OMSI, hit B&N, then Powell‘s the backwoods (where I was reading) it was really a good day
See my little spaceman he‘s so cute
So I guess it‘s because I had less then 2 hours sleep last knight but I was running some errands and I ran right into B&N …🤣📚📚📚 I finally bought the Illuminae series and others with a spaceman book mark 🥰

I had someone last week ask me for a recommendation for a YA Sci-Fi book and this is one of the ones I recommend. So it was the first book I thought of.
My topics bookclub‘s theme for March is “written in an unusual format” and this was the first thing that came to mind. I‘ve seen reviews of it here with pics of its set up. Very different!
It‘s a fast paced scifi, with letters, text messages, military reports, lots of redacted documents, transcripts of video footage, and more. I think it might be YA. I really liked it.
Sietje was cozy on the couch this morning 😁🐶💜.
Tomorrow is #bookspin day! My March list is ready. I‘ve started the tagged already for bookclub, I wonder what else @TheAromaofBooks will pick?!
I‘m disappointed to be bailing on one of my #24in2024 selections but it has been on my shelves for over seven years so removing it is still a victory of sorts. The way that this book was written was really fun but I just wasn‘t connecting.
Late to the party, but I‘m finally here for it! AIDAN!
“AM I NOT MERCIFUL?”
I‘m trying to compile a list of non-traditionally structured novels to read. If you have a moment or two, please tag me with your answer.🙂
This just didn't do anything for me, I read it all as it's quite a fast read. Just didn't care much about what was going on.
You deserve every star in the galaxy laid out at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who'll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back.
Starting my book 2 of #galaxyathon with the first book in The Illuminae Files by #jaykristoff and #amiekaufman
My friend loved this, generally we like the same things. This was not it. It just felt so young. The formatting is terrible and doesn‘t translate to audio or ebook well. I didn‘t find either MC all that likable and felt no desire to come back once I put it down. Ultimately returned to the library early.
These books are in my TBR, I need help on deciding which one to pickup next.
Please do comment and help me out 😀

#MultipleAuthors
This is the first book that came to mind. These authors have collaborated on other books together.

Two books are tied at the #1 spot.
📘 Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
📘 The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue bu V. E. Schwab
Want to play? @klou @bthegood @PageShifter
I told myself not to buy anymore books because I‘m in the middle of packing and my apartment is in shambles 😑 I have 2 non-fictions coming in the mail as well 🤦🏻♀️ total failure lol
“I am frequently underestimated. I think it's because I'm short.“ Always watch out for us short ones 😂 #SciFiSummer
This was a truly horrible decision… I am equal parts horrified, terrified, saddened and just all-around upset. I have no idea how I managed to read this book, since the style of it is usually not my thing. but other than being absolutely certain that I‘m gonna need to read some thing else before bed, this was a very good book.
1. The tagged Illuminae.
2. I wouldn't say better, but sometimes they have more of a punch.
@TheSpineView
Here are my #roll100 #tbrdeckofcards and #bookspin picks for the month. A Shadow in Summer and King‘s Dragon are both for #roll100. You Bet Your Life and American Afterlives are my #bookspin and #doublespin and Illuminae is fulfilling the ‘big book‘ prompt I pulled this month for #tbrdeckofcards. I also pulled a card for a Kindle book, but haven‘t decided which one I‘m going to read yet. @TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick @PuddleJumper
I'm not crying; you're crying. Just finished Day 1 of #FabulousFebruary #Readathon by reading Illuminae in one huge gulp. 599 pages of action, blood, and tears, but also hope. Always hope. @Andrew65
#SeriesRead2022 @TheSpineView
Gah! All the feels are still here 6 years later. I'm so happy I'm rereading this!
I'm also mixing things up by, hopefully, rereading Illuminae and Gemina. I hope to read some of the Wayward Children books as interludes.
#WeekendReading @Andrew65
My goals for #FabulousFebruary #Readathon are series related.
1. Reread Illuminae and Gemina, read Obsidio (Illuminae Files)
2. Read Black Leopard, Red Wolf (Dark Star, Book 1)
3. Wayward Children Series Books 3 - 7 (Hoping to finish No. 2 tonight)
Goals 1 and 2 contain 4 chunksters, 2,493 pages total for those goals.
Haven't done a total page count for Goal 3.
This was the book that sparked my interest in books told in non-traditional ways. With Illuminae and the rest of the series, you get excellent space opera told through a dossier of emails, IM, and other “found“ footage. For the romantics, there is also a love story, too.
This book was INCREDIBLE. I am a self proclaimed hater of science fiction and now I feel I can't say that anymore. The audio for this book is one of the best I've ever heard and it's definitely best to read/listen in tandem with a physical book. I can't wait to start Gemina!! 😱
Fantastic!
I read through it in 3 days. I really enjoyed the characters and plot. The different ways they presented the story help add to it for sure. I went right out and got the next two volumes since the library didn't have them.
Second read for #roll100
@PuddleJumper
My brain hurts, and also I‘m mad that it‘s bedtime and I have to stop reading. So good! This is one of my #roll100 books for January and I‘m here for it! @PuddleJumper
#roll100
I am excited to start off the New Year with these two books which I have had for years! 🎉🎉
Thank you @PuddleJumper for the rolls!
My #1stBookof2021 was Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. It definitely got ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! #12Booksof2021
“More than you deserve? You deserve all the stars in the galaxy laid at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who'll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back. You deserve more than I could ever give you, Kady. But i'll give you all I can if you want me to.“
I absolutely loved this book and finished it really quickly. (Granted I was at home and sick, but still!) I really enjoyed the way it was written and seeing the different files and reports, as well as the graphics included. These authors write amazing books which I highly recommend including the Aurora Cycle series which you can see in this image. Overall: I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The fighters are tiny. Insects really. But ants can slay an elephant, if there are enough of them.
