Is anyone else doing nanowrimo? I‘m jb72 over there if anyone wants to send a buddy request. They‘ve changed their website and I‘m confused as hell, but I‘ll figure it out eventually. What are your goals? I‘m setting mine very low since I‘ve always faltered in this challenge. I think I‘m going to aim for approximately 300 words a day. Any writing apps you love?

Last official NaNoWriMo 2018 update. I could keep writing until midnight, but I‘m so tried from barely sleeping the last two nights, I‘m going to enjoy Blue Bloods and then crash.

My National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) recap: I wrote just over 25,000 words! My writing software equates that to 72 paperback-sized pages, and I‘m really proud of that. This is my first time ever really trying to write a novel, and I still have a long way to go, but I‘m hoping to keep up the momentum and continue working on this book. I do need to find some sort of balance, though, because I hardly got any reading done, but I‘ll get there!

It's only been a week since our last meeting and since it's began I've been submitting reviews but I want to switch it up. The women who participate are such gifted writer's it inspired me to get back to writing fiction and I want to present a fiction piece next month. I just need a good piece out of the blurbs I've been jotting down all month to be good enough to expand upon before the 17th. 🥺 #nanowrimo #nano18

124 words to 100,000 words for the month...and it only took 24 days to get there. I'm also at over 500 pages. Editing this thing down is going to be a trip.

Apparently I can officially validate my 50K+ (not yet finished) novel tomorrow (20 Nov). I'm not sure if I want to do that right away or if I should wait until the end of the month to validate all the words I get by the end of the month (or if that even matters). 🤷🏼‍♀️

600+ words in an hour has been my biggest accomplishment since #nanowrimo started. I may try to write again before bed, but I do want to elaborate on yesterday's piece even after this month. I may use it as the piece for the December writer's meetup.

I'm so tired today, so I didn't write much at all, but I just got some stuff out to say I gave my inner muse a workout. At the half way point in the month and feeling good about where this is heading. How is everyone else doing so far?

Now that I know where this whole thing is going (and what all 42 of the short stories are), I'm doing well getting these short stories written between things that have already been written and improvements that make things work better and them stand on their own more. I'm not worried about this lagging now.

Even this update is a day late. Last week was trash writing wise. I did find the time to finish my book, so there is one success. I also found a blog that has excellent writing prompts for pairings, so I did get to put my characters in a situation I had never considered and I enjoyed it!

Can't believe I've made it this far. I wasnt quite sure I was going to be able to make the word count in a month, and I'm this far in just a week. I'm not even entirely sure what all is in this document...I just know that it is all narrative related to my story.

It's progressing nicely. I've started writing in vignette form already, but bits and pieces are still extended narrative. The list of vignettes I'd like to have is quite long, so I may have to limit the number of pages/words each one is.

Progress has been made. It's a lot easier to just write, knowing how this is all going to come together in the end. Considering unorthodox arrangements for these short stories (so maybe you're not reading linearly). Maybe a little too crazy at the end of the day. I guess we'll see in the editing stage.

LIGHTBULB MOMENT!!! I have figured out how to fix the "problem" I'm having with what I'm writing. My writing isn't the problem, the format is. Sure it's "novel" writing month, but who says a novel can't actually be closely related short stories in a single volume?! See, I am a NaNo Rebel after all. Oops. So much for following the rules the first time around. Oh well. 50K HERE I COME!!!

Turned out to be a lazy weekend but I did start on the 1st like I had intended to. I have tomorrow off, so I plan to spend an equal amount of time reading and writing. I at least have the beginning to my first short story and progress is what matters.💪 #nanowrimo #nano2018
