Welcome to Litsy!

I am fortunate to have my parents and my whole family here. It was eventful to say the least, starting with our son in Arizona, missed his plane due to traffic in Phoenix, took another flight all the way to Orlando, Florida, to fly back to San Antonio. Mom and Dad are dealing with Dad‘s dementia, so we are grateful he still knows us all, but for a brief and scary time this morning when he was lost in our house, and he is so loving, Mom an angel.

1. My family—my husband and children are well and happy, and my parents are healthy and happy, as well as my brothers and their families.
2. The opportunity to go to grad school and become a librarian!
3. My own health and happiness.
4. A lot of great friends!!
5. My library.
6. My book site friends!
7. My home and comfortable life.

I'm thankful for so many things this year: my new job, Chaplin's health despite his illness, and of course, BOOKS! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I spent my day doing all the things I love... Picking fresh herbs for the turkey, cooking and baking, took a long walk, dinner with my son and watching football, turkey carcass turned into turkey stock and it's final destination ended as turkey veggie and wild rice soup in the crock pot. A little crafting and creating and now reading. I hope you all got to do what makes you happy and thankful today 🥰

I was telling my friend how litsy is different than book twitter and bookstagram, and what it comes down to are the personal relationships we have here. I feel like I visit a wonderful small town everyday to talk about books, support each other through joys and losses, and make new friends. You are my tribe, and today I raise a toast to us, this community of bibliophiles! 💜🥂💜 Cheers! You are wonderful! Happy thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow American Littens! I'm so grateful for this community, so thank you to everyone, you make this a special place! I spent the day with my family...I made a turtle cheesecake, but was unable to get a pic before it was cut into 🔪😂

Afterwards, I snagged a Black Friday deal of The Pioneer Woman Cookbook because I'm an addict when it comes to recipes. I've already bookmark what appears to basically be the entire book. 😋
